We worked with Bryce to have a stump ground down in our back yard last summer (2024). It was close to our fence and retaining wall but that wasn't an issue for Bryce. He was able to get it down in a couple of hours and that area of our yard is ready for new plants. We highly recommend Very Good Stump Grinding.

These guys were amazing! Bryce and his team were so good at removing our stumps and they even cleaned up their mess. Bryce also had 12/10 communication which was a breath of fresh air. He called the day before and 2 hours before he arrived and sent us photos after the job was done. Had 3 Douglas Fir stumps needed to be grinned due to the ice storm and they absolutely crushed it! Literally! Will hire again if/when we ever need more stumps removed.

Very Good Stump Grinding should be renamed "The BEST Tree Service & Stump Grinding". They removed my Cedar tree including grinding the stump and root areas, Gone. My property was clean when they departed. The 4 Man crew was EXCELLENT! "The Best Tree Service & Stump Grinding" in the Portland Metro area!

I can’t recommend Bryce and Very Good Stump Grinding enough! Don’t waste your time renting a stump grinder from Home Depot—I did, and it was a nightmare. The machine was weak, couldn’t get the job done, then broke on me. Even with the insurance, they didn’t refund the rental.

Luckily, I found Bryce. He made everything so easy. His worker came out the very next day and got the stump out in less than an hour. The best part? The cost was basically the same as renting that cheap, useless machine from Home Depot.

If you need stump grinding done right (or tree services now that they offer that too), go with Bryce. Fast, professional, and stress-free.

Bryce was excellent at the job he did for us. We had some weather challenges for the job to be done. He communicated with us constantly about when it would be possible to get the job done. He had to maneuver his machine in a very tight space along the side of the house and 5th wheel trailer. He did it with care and precision ( amazing) he completed the job for us with excellently and cleaned up the area when completed. We highly recommend him. They did an outstanding job! Jack did a great job communicating during the quote process and before the appointment date. They also did an excellent job with the cleanup. I would highly recommend them for all tree services.

We are very pleased with Jack and Bryce with a tree that fell through our roof. We called them at 5am and they were at our house at 9:30 with a crane and crew. They alway came back and ground down the stump.

Bryce and Jack are great to work with. They are responsive, experts in trimming and removing trees, leave the space tidy, and communicate throughout the process. Oh and they also have some pretty sweet equipment! Which is not only cool but helps to limit potential risks of falling limbs etc.
