They Came, They Saw, They Conquered! Very Good Tree Service absolutely lived up to their name. Bryce and Jack run a well-oiled machine — truly top-of-the-line equipment, incredible teamwork, and zero wasted motion. Jack (who’s the one up there doing the actual cutting!) handled our massive tree with absolute professionalism and skill.

For context: this wasn’t a simple job. We had a single stump that split into two full-size trees — 46 inches at the base and about 80 feet tall — with significant bark inclusion, which is a structural weakness where bark grows between two trunks and makes the whole thing more prone to failure. These guys handled it safely and efficiently, and they took the entire thing down in one day.

On top of that, they cleaned up and reshaped my backyard maple and juniper, leaving everything looking intentional and beautiful.

They were kind to my kids, easy to have around, extremely respectful of the property, and the pricing was honestly amazing for the scale of the work.

As a full-time Realtor, I meet a lot of arborists — and most simply don’t have the capacity, experience, or equipment to take on a job like this. Very Good Tree Service is truly top-tier in Portland. I’ll recommend them to clients, friends, and anyone who needs expert tree work done right.

I highly recommend Very Good Stump Grinding & Tree Removal. I first used them in September for a yucca stump, and the owner, Bryce, provided a quick, fair quote and did a great job.

I reached out again in December when some arborvitae trees began leaning toward my power lines. Bryce was incredibly responsive, coming by in person to give me a quote on the spot. His pricing was excellent—in fact, another local company quoted me double what Bryce did!

His crew arrived today and removed the trees quickly and safely. If you’re looking for a professional, responsive, and reasonably priced tree service, call Bryce. I’ll definitely be using them again!

Great experience with Urban Timber in Lake Oswego. Communication was excellent from the get-go; their crew arrived early to get started. They worked efficiently and they left everything clean like they were never there. These people are experts in what they do. Wouldn’t hesitate to contact them again to remove our tree stump.

Had a pretty big oak tree removed from my backyard last week. Crew showed up on time (actually a little early which was nice), and got right to it. Took them about 5 hours total, I was kinda worried about the fence getting damaged but they were careful and nothing got hit

We had several very tall cedar trees removed and this work was done excellently.

They removed a 70 ft spruce from the back corner of our yard that was hanging over the fence line and partially over the roof. Access wasn’t the easiest (tight side yard and overhead lines nearby, so I was expecting it to be a headache but everything went smoothly.

My front walk and patio look excellent after Pure Clean’s pressure washing. The technician was able to remove 99% of three years’ accumulation of moss, etc. I will definitely call them again when I need pressure washing.
