They were amazing, very detailed and did a fantastic job of getting a tree off our house. They were super fast, and really did an amazing cleanup after work. Would recommend to anyone looking for some tree work.

We were referred to Monkeyman by a tree nursery supplier. The told me that Monkeyman were the people to take care of our large residential property. The gave me pricing options from hourly to day rate. We went with the day rate and they scheduled me that day for work in 2 weeks. The crew arrived when they said they would, did more then what I expected and worked extremely clean. We are already planning on bringing them back for another batch of work and ongoing pruning of our trees.

It is hard to find a team that works so well and with a passion for trees, but with Monkeyman you have all of these things.

We've used Monkeyman's Tree Service three times now and we have been extremely pleased each time. Their workers are friendly and professional, they don't disturb anything which is not associated with the work, and they clean up the work area very well. Their work is impressive and thorough. You can trust them to do excellent work.

Monkeyman’s Tree Service were very professional and very polite. And very nice to talk to. They let me sit out back on my deck and watch them do their work. I was able to take some cool videos and photos of which, which I will share on this review I give them a five star review, they came in. They knew exactly what they were doing. They left and everything was nice neat and tidy. If you’re looking to get your tree service done don’t look anywhere else.

Super easy to work with. Efficient on from the first visit, to the bid, to completing the work. They also helped me navigate some of the Portland permit questions I had because I didn't want to have to replace the tree I was removing. The crew that removed the tree was safe and took the tree down without any damage to anything, including a small rhododendron that lived below the big tree they took down. They cleaned up all the debris and were friendly with clear communication at every interaction. I'm super happy!

Crew of five worked great as a team to climb and clear dead and overhanging branches from our Douglas Firs, cottonwood and maples. We received a full assessment of the work needed along with photos and all the official paperwork and the quote. The crew were fully briefed and prepared when they arrived. They confirmed their actions along the way as well. We are extremely happy with the work and the clean up and highly recommend this service. Everything was very professional and the pricing was competitive.

I was impressed from the gentleman giving me a quote to the end of the project. I received three bids and for the explanation and pictures of what they would do, to the quote for the job, MonkeyMan was my choice and they did not disappoint me. Excellent work and great clean up. They also mad sure after they were done that it met my approval. I highly recommend MonkeyMan for all your tree needs.

Monkey Man’s three person crew worked on our trees for two days and our garden now looks like a perfectly groomed arboretum. This is the best experience that we have ever had working with arborists over the last fifty years. We will definitely hire them again in the future.

We have a giant oak tree that, while healthy, needed some TLC. Monkeyman's Tree Service was efficient throughout the entire process. We appreciated how quickly they were able to come out and take a look, the estimate and scheduling was quick and easy, and they communicated efficiently throughout.

Brooks and his crew came out and did the work and WOW! Beyond doing a great job (which they did!!), their energy and enthusiasm was infectious. Each crew member was kind, respectful, and genuinely hilarious which is something I didn't know I needed of a tree service crew -- but now I expect nothing less :)

About three weeks ago a large tree limb fell about 50 feet at two in the morning and just missed taking out a door and windows. That's the third limb this winter.
Matt (with Monkeyman's) stopped by and explained how his crew would shorten more than a dozen limbs and remove debris from the trees. The crew arrived last week and two climbers went up the trees, roped off, and shimmied out on the limbs to make their cuts.
They are professional in how they treat the trees and their own safety. They did a great job of cleaning up.

We have 14 tall (well over 100’) fir trees in our yard that needed to be deadlimbed. Our yard is not very large and there is limited space for limbs to drop without causing damage. The Monkeyman crew that did our work did an outstanding job - great communication, showed up on time, worked safely and efficiently, and left our property looking better than it was before their work. They took great care to remove all dangerous limbs/debris but were careful to only remove what was necessary, leaving as much of the healthy foliage in place as possible. I was impressed with their focus on a balance between the health of the trees and the need to minimize safety risks. Not cheap but reasonable given the quality of their work. Check them out!

We received the Monkeyman's Tree Service flyer in our mailbox. It was perfect timing because my husband and I had discussed getting 5 of the trees around our house trimmed and pruned. We had the work done within a week. Patrick came to look over the trees, we received an estimate the same day, signed it, and Marcus and his team were here to do the work within a few days. The process was quick, and smooth. Marcus was very professional and answered all the questions that I had about certain trees that we were concerned about. His team trimmed all of our trees within the same day and cleaned up so well you would never know that they were here, other than the wonderful work that they did on all of our trees. I'm so glad we received the flyer and gave them a call. I would highly recommend them to anyone who needs tree service work done.

I have used Monkeyman’s in the past and was happy with them so I called them again for a different property. David came to bid the job and I found his bid to be reasonably but the thing I liked most is, they have an office team that actually answers the phones and I could get answers to my questions quickly and easily. My crew was Brooks, Andrew, Donald and Charlie. The team showed up on time and all of them were respectful and kind. They went over the project with me prior to starting and then we did a walkthrough when they were done. It was important to them that I was 100% happy and I was. I recommend Monkeyman’s for your tree maintenance/removal needs.

We just moved into a house with an enormous Sequoia in the backyard in need of pruning as well as work needed on a few other trees. David came out and quoted it as a full day of work, then on the day of, Brooks and his crew showed up and were so enthusiastic to get up in the trees and start doing the work. They made it look fantastic, took a few extra steps to ensure that trees wouldn't interrupt comms lines or come close to our house or neighbor's house, and cleaned up after themselves wonderfully. A great experience all around.

Kept me well informed of arrival time etc. My MASSIVE stump was about 10 ft in diameter and had roots going out that were the size of average tree stump. Had been previously ground down but soil erosion brought it up again. Was very uneven and sloped surface making that area of the yard non-usable. His monster remote controlled grinder had no problem chewing it up to a depth of about 21”. Took maybe 3 hrs for it to be gone.

In our Lake Oswego project we had several large Douglas fir and some maple stumps . VGSG DID A FANTASTIC JOB FOR US!!! We look forward to using them again. Very professional and thorough.

They are just great workers and people. Very good communication, did the job exactly when they said they would. Great pricing and no surprise factor at any point. I got exactly what I expected, A+. I would hire them again in a minute!

Wish I could share a pic… these guys were awesome! We had about 90 feet of hedge- we took it out with chain saws, and Bryce and his team came quickly and ground it all out in a few hours. Right up against a fence with no problem!

Had a massive laurel bush removed two years prior. By a different company,They poisoned the multiple stumps and told me it would die. It didn't it kept resprouting the laurel.evrywhere even on pieces that looked to be completely cut through. This company came in and ground the stumps for a reasonable price and solved the problem. In in a single afternoon.
