We have been working with Juan Rodarte for the past 4 years (formerly General Tree Service). I was concerned when they merged with SavATree and my only and first thought was, I hope I can still work with Juan. He has been a trusted advisor, is great to talk with, and has provided us guidance on what to do and when over the years. I look forward to seeing him, chatting, and getting things taken care of on this property that we love. He educates us about the things we are concerned about and helps us make informed decisions. The work crews always do an amazing job, are courteous, and leave things looking nice and clean. Can't say enough good words. I was relieved to see and work with him today as we once again prepare our trees for fall and winter. Highly recommend.

Update: Aaron and Juan have completed service for us today on many trees, some of which are quite tall, and they look great and did an exceptional job and were very friendly. We appreciate the walk through's of the work at completion. Thanks guys! We value and appreciate your very hard work.

I had used this service in 2021 when it was Northwest Tree Specialists and was very pleased with their service. And when Jacob came this year to give me an estimate, I was impressed with him and decided to use them again. I wasn't disappointed . . . they were fast, efficient and cleaned up well before they left. I would definitely recommend them to anyone looking for their service.

We recently hired SavATree to, in addition to other work, remove a large failing tree – part of which had already fallen into our yard. Franco and his crew of two were amazing to watch in action. Very efficient, but also were willing to do additional “tweaks” as requested. Franco also did a nice job on a Japanese Maple that we are hoping to save that had been damaged by the falling tree. He had a good eye for how to shape it – working around the damage. And Jacob, who was the arborist and job manager, was great. He was very involved on the actual day the work was done and then returned a couple of days later to address one final concern. Our yard is looking so much better after their combined efforts. As president of an HOA, I have a deep appreciation of the working relationship with Jesse Martin of SavATree Tree Service. I met him when we were seeking bids for a tricky tree removal. His bid was great and his explanation of the process and steps needed was by far the most thorough. The crew did a great job. Since then, we have used Jesse to help maintain all of our trees on the fourteen acres of grounds. Give Jesse a call, you will be happy you did.

Stay away from this awful, corporate company who uses fraudulent business practices. Serv pro brought them in when a tree fell on my home. They decided to drag tree limbs across my decking vs use gravel paths simply because they were too lazy to walk an additional three feet. Then after stringing us along with their “claims department”, just another corporate company they use to harm their customers, they deny responsibility, sorry for them as we have proof of what they did. It’s pretty horrible to treat people like this after a tree falls on their house and then the tree company further damages the property. I had just had the decking power washed and now my deck is scratched with orange dirty stained on it. My this company says “someone else did it”. They also will show up to your home unannounced and walk around your property without scheduling a visit. There are some amazing small local companies, go with Oregon Tree Care, stay very far away from this company.

Update: the owners response you should know is completely false. One other crew, a roofing crew, accessed our property only using gravel paths. No one else was outside the property. The third party company they force you to talk with for claims, Gallagher Bassett is known publicly for denying responsibility for their clients such as this company. I provided them the invoice for the power washing which occurred right before their work, and they claim someone else created all of the orange dirt right after their job on the decking which is still stained, no one else used the deck for access. We vacated our property due to the tree falling on our house. It’s interesting as they had their claims person claim a 15 day notice, now here the owner claims a 30 day notice. Do they even know their own policies? It’s unprofessional conduct to treat customers this way when a tree falls on your house to then have a company damage your property and put the blame on others. Gallagher Basset did nothing to “investigate” other than harassing the decking company that provided the bid for repair and then denying responsibility. Oregon Tree Care is amazing! Go with them.

It was time to take down our beloved Maple tree. It had become structurally unsound. We received multiple consultations and bids. Jacob their arborist came out, explained in detail what was going on with the tree and how they would approach removing it. The cost of the project was very competitive, the communication was beyond expectation, they arrived on time, worked in a professional and safe manner. They contacted our power company to insure that there would be no issues when doing the stump removal. They even added root grinding at the last minute to accommodate our wishes. All in all the experience was flawless in every way. I am generally very critical and rarely review. We would hire again and happily refer Jacob/SaveAtree Lake Oswego in an instant. 👍👍👍

I work at YMCA's Camp Collins. During a winter storm a very large tree fell. We did not have the equipment to deal with it. We also had 11 trees that were on our list to cutting down. I called a couple of Loggers that I found online. They were not interested; I came across Apex Tree Service by word of mouth. Kyle responded quickly with an estimate. He and his crew showed up, on time and got to it. I was amazed at how quickly and accurately the trees came down. We have some tight spaces, buildings, fences, sheds to contend with and they worked the space like a seasoned professional. There were no upselling or changes to the estimate. He did exactly what we talked about and what was in his estimate.
I would highly recommend Apex Tree Service to anyone that needs serious tree work.

Chris and his crew did an outstanding job. He came well under another estimate I received and he made me feel way more comfortable with how he and his crew would handle the job. He was knowledgeable, caring, took time to educate me about proper maintenance of the tree, and gave me a more than reasonable quote on the spot. The crew showed on time and finished the job sooner than originally thought. Chris walked me through the work they had done and it was outstanding. Thank you guys. I can now feel confident that my family is safe from the overgrown branches over our house as well as the neighbors’. You will be my first choice hands down for any future job. They also left the property looking cleaner than before. Even blew the leaves off the roof!!!

Monkeyman's crew did a great job trimming up a large Oregon Ash, and in terrible weather on top if it! They were very attentive to avoid any damage to surrounding landscaping and garden area, and did a fantastic clean-up afterwards. Highly recommend.

I highly recommend this company. Crew 1 did exceptional work on my property at 7/21/2025. Crew 1's Brandon Weaver is extremely knowledgeable, skilled, and great. He took time to listen to me and did extra ( very dangerous) work for free. If you want great service, please contact this company and ask for crew 1 with arborist Brandon Weaver. I also very much appreciate arborist David Krone; David Krone talked with me and prepared the quote. Well, if you need any help with old trees, tree cutting down, tree trimming, dangerous tree, you should definitely contact this company as this is a very good, kind, dependable, respectable, knowledgeable, and highly skilled company. The crew did an excellent job trimming my Spruce. They completed the job quickly, cleaned all the debris from the trim (and even cleaned the pine needle graveyard on my roof), and communicated every step of the process. Very professional. Will use again.

Came out promptly and gave us a fair quote and very understanding of our complicated situation. Got us scheduled within a week, the crew was on time and very knowledgeable, thorough and pleasant to work with. They did a great job!

I had two odd requests: cut the dead top forty feet of trunk from an alder near my house and remove a "widowmaker" limb hanging down from a fir tree directly over my river dock. The guys from Monkeyman's were professional, enthusiastic, and fun to talk to. They figured out how to get a spider lift into my back yard and completed the work while avoiding any damage to my flowerbeds. Highly recommended.

Excellent service I had a 25-30 ft tree removed to open my yard more. The guys arrived as within the hour were done cleaned up and stacked the firewood nicely for me to put away when I got home. I have a few more projects in the scope for the near future and I’ll certainly be using them again!

We had a tall fir tree that was dead on our property removed. They were friendly and quoted a fair price. They did a great job removing the tree and cleaned up everything nicely.

Thanks for great service. David Krone is the arborist who estimated and bid our project. His advice helped in making decisions (like whether to remove or trim overgrown trees, and how to aesthetically preserve those that we thought were problems). I have a huge Laurel hedge that runs the length of my property. Monkeyman’s was here today taming it into a beautiful private wall of green. The team was great from start to finish. They’re my go to from now on

Nelson and his crew were on time, friendly and knowledgeable. This was the third and biggest job we’ve engaged MM. Full day tree pruning, removal, vertical mulching, treatment, and ivy skirting. For the first, Chris answered our emergency call and quickly had a crew out to safely remove a Maple that took out our electric during a storm. The second was tree and shrubs pruning and treatment with vertical mulching. Down to earth folks who get the job done right, fair prices, and wicked smart service.

Their service is greatly appreciated. They work very hard and are dedicated. Take great care when pruning branches to protect other plants in the garden from being affected. Despite the wind and rain, they still worked efficiently and flawlessly. And finally clean up the garden. Very good!

I just had Monkeyman out to remove deal branches from a huge cedar tree. The entire crew was friendly and super knowledgable. They don't just know trees, they know the microbiology of soils. They did a good job and their cleanup was impeccable. 5 stars!

Monkeyman's cut a dead hemlock in my backyard, in a very hard-to-access area. They did a fantastic job -- they had the equipment and experienced crew necessary to get the job done safely and efficiently. They get my thumbs up.
