Very clear explanation of charges during initial call. My dishwasher door was half off. James arrived the next day exactly as scheduled. He went above and beyond my initial request and I now have a better dishwasher than ever! I couldn’t be happier and I will definitely call them again in the event I should have any other appliance issues.

Amazing service! They were the only company I called that was upfront about pricing. Very flexible with my work schedule, great communication and excellent service. James was very easy to work with. I appreciated his transparency and feel like this is a very trustworthy company. Will defiantly use them again and have already recommended them to family and friends!

While I wasn't thrilled to have to have my refer/freezer repaired, I was very happy to have James at Knapp's Service & Appliance do the job. He was repairing a neighbors refer and the neighbor sent him my way. He came in took a look, gave me a price and set up an appointment. He was friendly, knowledgeable, clean and did the job in a timely manner. Will use him again.

My gas dryer quit heating. Knapp's came out the next day, diagnosed the issue, ordered the part and returned to install it the following day. Also vacuumed years of dust out of the inside of my dryer. Fast, knowledgeable and pleasant service!

James is experienced, knowledgable, easy to talk with and will take the time to answer questions (in laymen’s terms!). The service fees were straightforward: a flat fee for the service due at the end, when the repairs are installed. The initial site visit to diagnose the issue was included in this overall fee, and they were able to quote me the total final cost that first day (when the replacement parts were ordered). Scheduling was quick: leave a message, get a call back that day for scheduling, and the evening before site visit receive a call confirming your service appt time window. Even with some wonky appliance issues (multiple parts failed in succession), they helped me deal with it in a prompt & fair manner. I appreciate supporting a local, family-owned business, especially when I feel like I’m getting the great service Knapp provides. Glad to have my refrigerator working again so quickly!

Several years ago, our gas dryer died, and we called Knapp. He brought us a nice used dryer that worked perfectly for a long time, until it finally stopped heating. We called Knapp again, and although he tried to fix it, he had to break the news that the dryer was beyond repair.
He quickly arranged for another used dryer and, with his helper, wrestled it into place (no small feat in our old basement). Unfortunately, that one turned out to have an issue too. At that point, the laundry was piling up, and we even had a wedding coming up, so it was definitely stressful.
But true to form, James came back with yet another dryer, hauled the faulty one away, and installed a beautiful used gas dryer that has been working like a dream. Through all the hiccups, he and his assistant stuck with it until the problem was solved, and we couldn't be happier.
Best of all, the cost was very reasonable. I'm certain any other company would have charged more and been far less persistent about getting the dryer into the small, tricky space we have. If I could give Knapp 10 stars, I would. Thank you, Knapp!

Nikkia was very professional and helpful. After he diagnosed the problem, we decided to buy a dishwasher. I stayed in contact with him and he was able to get us on the schedule and the dishwasher was installed immediately. I would definitely call them again. I like to support small businesses like Knapp's so I hope you will remember to do the same. As you can see from these reviews, a family business would quickly resolve any issues that were in the pass.

I have known and used Knapp's Appliance since 2010.James & his son Junior are top notch in their field. Every time we needed him, he has very prompt. He is very honest about repairs and pricing. They are very knowledgeable about every type of appliance. I would definitely recommend Knapp's to everyone.

Very helpful on the phone when I inquired about their services they offer for my friend's new bar he just opened up. He is leaning very much towards them to handle his Co and walk ins.👍👍👍

Can do a good job, just be careful. While having them fix a two door fridge, another part was broken and they are refusing to fix it.

Tried to get them to show up in 2021 and it was a 3 week wait and tried again 2 weeks ago and it's a 2 week wait. How can you wait 2 weeks for your walk in beer cooler?

Not a great commercial refrigeration experience. Purchased a new 1800# ice machine storage bin from third party dealer, Commercial Refrigeration Inc. was subbed for the installation in Portland. All phases of said installation went bad. First they improperly installed the drain resulting in a leak. Secondly they placed the unit darn near flush against the wall resulting in extremely poor ventilation, ultimately causing the high/low limit switch to flip. Needless to say we called them out to fix the issues.. So what does Commercial Refrigeration Inc. do, well they decided to charge us an additional $900 for the repairs.

This was the first and only time I've done business this company at any of the three businesses I operate in the greater Portland area. Do yourself a favor, use a different refrigeration company!

Really needed a fridge looked at and ran into Pete in a parking lot. He took the time to take a quick look at my problem, grabbed a few tools and came to my rescue. Fixed the problem on the spot with a smile and a very reasonable charge. This is the essence of great customer service. Commercial refrigeration is highly recommended. Ask for Pete for your service tech.
