Our 11-year old Whirlpool refrigerator failed during a long July heat wave. We were amazed that Luke at RAD was able to come to our house the same day we called. Most other repair places we called had long wait times. He quickly diagnosed the repair (a broken fan motor), had the part in his truck and fixed it quickly so our fridge was working and we did not lose any food. Luke and his colleague Tom were friendly, answered all my questions, gave us good tips on maintaining our fridge and solved our problem for a very fair price. We will use them again if we have an appliance to repair.

Highly recommend if you want to work with people who charged a lot to replace a part on my washer that then malfunctioned causing my water bill to sky rocket. Extra points for being condescending.

After going to the trouble of having my property assessed for water leaks because RAD claimed the washer couldn't be using that much water. I had someone else replace the part and now my water usage is back to a low normal. I don't recommend working with people who won't at least acknowledge a mistake.

Appliance repair is unfortunately generally pretty costly but I feel strongly that things should be repaired and not replaced. As a newer, first-time homeowner, I searched online for a reputable appliance repair service in SE PDX. I won't lie - I definitely chose it because I liked the RAD business name, but having great reviews helped, too.

Luke's service was exceptional. I texted him Tuesday and he was responsive and straight forward and scheduled an appointment for Friday. Come Friday, he texted me updates in the morning letting me know how many clients he had and an ETA, and arrived on the early end of the window he provided. He and partner-man were clean and extremely polite. They assessed the problem, showed me the breakdown of costs for parts and labor on his tablet, and took care of the issue within 20-30 minutes. They even took the time to level my dishwasher better. As far as I can tell, the costs were equivalent with other services in the area, but with the great communication, promptness, actually having the parts on hand, and liking my calico cat, the value is above and beyond. I hope I never see them again, but if I need any other appliance repair, RAD Appliance Services is gonna handle it.

I highly recommend Luke at RAD for anyone experiencing an appliance disaster. He helped me repair a washing machine with a stuck door. His speedy response saved my soggy laundry from getting molded. He also diagnosed a leak I had with my dishwasher and was honest in telling me that the repair cost would nearly outweigh the cost of a new washer. I’m definitely going up use RAD for all future appliances repairs.

Luke and Tom at RAD Appliance Service are true professionals and a total joy to work with. Luke was able to make an appointment to service our refrigerator much sooner than I expected, and was prompt and clear in his communication. I appreciated that he was willing to take the time to explain what was wrong with the unit, and he was even able to repair it the same day, with assurances that if any follow up work was needed it would be covered under their warranty. Our fridge is still running like a champ weeks later with no issues.

After some really disappointing and frustrating experiences with appliance repair services, I'm so pleased to find a prompt, honest, and respectful service provider. Will definitely be calling Luke and Tom for any repairs we need in the future and recommending RAD to friends!

Luke is the best! So nice and actually cares about his customers. Our fridge/freezer stopped cooling and when Luke and his colleague came out the first time, it was working again so Luke told us to keep an eye on it and didn't charge us for the visit. Then of course the next day it stopped working again and he came out right away and fixed/replaced all the parts in 30mins. The fridge has been working great ever since and I love that Luke followed up with us is always available to answer any questions or concerns. 10/10 would recommend! The team is highly professional, acts with integrity, and gets the job done no matter the challenge. We had an EVIL dishwasher. The team worked tirelessly to determine the needed repairs, locate the best parts, and get the job done. They kept in tight contact with us. Plus the team shows up with an awesome orange leather toolkit, dressed professionally, and with years of experience. At the end of the experience I knew two things. This team was all about quality and integrity. This team stood by their work. They assured us that if anything wasn't right, they would be back to make it right. Second, their prices were fair and their work ethic unmatched. Don't shop around anymore. This is the team. We'll be using them for life.

Excellent experience all around. After another repair person charged me over $300 for a failed "repair" and then told me I should just replace my dryer, Luke came in and diagnosed and fixed the problem within an hour. He communicated clearly and was even able to be flexible with the appointment window to accommodate my work schedule. In person, he was friendly and professional. When my next appliance goes on the fritz, I'll be using Luke again for sure.

After 3 days, and as someone who never writes reviews, I can say I would not attempt business w/ this person unless you either value having your time wasted, or are retired and stay at home 24 hours a day.

Luke is *awesome*. I had three troubled appliances: a clothes washer that stopped draining, a dishwasher that always had a lot of water in the tub after a wash, and a range burner that wouldn't light. Luke looked at all of these, correctly diagnosed all of them, found parts for the (15-year-old) units, and fixed them quickly. In all cases, the fix was fast and correct the first time. Honestly, I have been living with some of these appliance problems for years, and have even had techs out to look at them before. I wasn't sure some of them could be fixed, because other guys would kind of shrug and say, "Gee, I don't know, maybe buy a new one." Luke looked at it, figured it out, and fixed it promptly at a fair price. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!

I am incredibly grateful to RAD Appliance Services for their professionalism and expertise throughout what might otherwise have been a stressful dishwasher repair. Luke responded quickly to my initial text, and we set up an appointment for diagnosing the issue. Luke and Tom arrived on time and discovered the machine had been quietly leaking for some time. They pointed out the damage to my floor and made good suggestions for how to fix that problem. They ordered the replacement part and came back to replace it as soon as it arrived, but we were all disappointed to find out that the manufacturer had sent the wrong hose. (oh no!) Luke took on the responsibility for reordering the part and then came back again without delay once it came in. The whole experience was made less frustrating by Luke and Tom's friendly and knowledgeable demeanor, the way they kept in good communication with me, and the up-front (and very reasonable) pricing. They saved me from having to replace the machine, and I am thrilled to have operated it without any issues several times since it was repaired. I now have RAD listed as a contact in my phone and consider them my first choice for any service they offer. I trust them to find the problem, fix the problem, and to treat me and other customers with honesty and respect.

Luke is professional and prepared. He asked for the make and model of my dryer in advance and had the appropriate parts (motor and blower) with him for a full repair in a single service call. This is my second great experience with RAD.

I recently had the pleasure of using the services of RAD Appliance to repair my freezer. My freezer wasn't keeping a low enough temperature, so I called the company and was able to get someone out the next day. Luke arrived on time and diagnosed the issue within 10 minutes. He was very knowledgeable and professional, and took the time to explain the issue to me and answer my questions.

I received a repair estimate same day, as promised, and then was immediately scheduled to come out the next week to install the replacement parts. The communication was incredibly prompt and done via text messages, which made the process very efficient.

Overall, I was very happy with the service I received from RAD Appliance Services, and I would definitely use them again in the future.

I am so glad to have Luke and Tom around the corner from my house! Their professionalism, courtesy, honesty and efficiency are absolutely superlative amongst the service businesses I've worked with as a home and property owner. After a miscommunication led to inspecting the wrong wine fridge while I was out, they came back at no cost to inspect the right one. They will be the first ones I call when I have issues with appliances in the future.

When our Viking cooktop chose to misbehave before dinner, we called this company and they were lifesavers, really. The technician was punctual, had the correct knowledge of what they were doing and got the cook-top repaired earlier than we had anticipated. They told them all without all the technical rubbish and even gave hints on how to make it run. Professional, efficient, and, in fact, pleasant to work with super professional, would definitely recommend if something in your expensive appliance is not working.

I had Viking oven repair because of meals burned one after another. I believed that I lost cooking skills. It turns out that there was an issue with the oven. The technician was also understanding and fixed it on the spot. Cooking becomes fun again, and my self-confidence in the kitchen has returned.

The failure of the Viking burner to heat sufficiently meant that it was hard to prepare a small gathering at home, as soon as I needed to cook. I was looking forward to making cancellations but the fixing was done earlier than I assumed. The stove was great on time, rescuing the evening.

The biggest feature in our kitchen is our viking range aptops, hence we were disappointed when our burner, which is of the high-heat range, failed to light. The service technician had a lot of experience and without any trouble repaired the spark module. He also professionally cleaned the entire unit so that it shines. Quality service (of a high product) indeed.

The stove began to heat unevenly, so cooking multiple foods was challenging. Had it repaired and the repairman tested all the burners before fixing it. It now heats up evenly, making cooking less of a hassle.
