Hired them to put a furnace in 2021. Had serviced since. Just noticed shoddy vent work leaking exhaust in my garage. They put too big of an exhaust flue on the fitting causing the leak.
I called and asked for the following:
a refund of my inspection
Reimbursement for a 3rd party inspection
To repair the vent properly
I was offered tape. I declined and then was offered it to be fixed properly with the correct adapter.
I was upset with this offer and declined any services, because I can't trust they're going to do it properly.
Mark was argumentative and rude, which didn't help. I asked him to leave because he took no accountability for his employees as owner. -
My experience with Jarrod and Heat Relief has made me a customer for life. Jarrod tackled our gas leak issue like his life depended on it. He addressed our issue with the upmost urgency, patiently explained the issues and resolutions at hand multiple times, and was courteous coming in and out of the house and cleaned up. Jarrod said that his motto is, “Do the right thing even when no is looking and you won’t have any problems.” 5 star experience and I will be a return customer. Thank you!

I have nothing but positive to say about Heat Relief! I recently purchased new furnace and air conditioning units and have had the first annual maintenance visit. The employees all are professional, timely, and knowledgable. The products are high quality and affordable. Can't go wrong with this company. Just completed year two maintenance and am just as pleased. Highly recommend!!

Everyone at Heat Relief were super friendly and helpful. Nancy who took my first call was amazing and our service was scheduled for the following day. Matthew, our technician, was super informative and quick with the diagnosis of our furnace issue. There was no upsell pressure and he clearly outlined our options. I would highly recommend Heat Relief. Job well done!

Shawn Johnson at Heat Relief Heating and Cooling is a dedicated Service Technician at Heat Relief. He is exceptionally bright and a man with various applicable skills. My furnace was challenging and unsafe. He arrived on a Sunday (non-workday) only to return again on the following Friday after several hours of other work to make certain my furnace and air conditioning were operating safely and properly. I was very fortunate to have him service my heating and cooling and will always request his services. Heat Relief is a solid company I trust them. They made a good decision in hiring such an able technician.

Jarrod was super helpful and explained the gas leak, repair scope, pricing and timing quickly and clearly. He showed up on time and was a pleasure to deal with. I’d work with him again for sure.

I enjoyed everything about working with Heat Relief. I received next day call back to my evening voice message. We scheduled a service time. I had an emailed reminder. The service window is the typical 4 hours, but Keenan called that he was on his way with an ETA of 24 minutes. Efficient and neat, and great work on our 3 mini splits. I would unreservedly recommend them.

Fantastic service! The service engineer was running behind, but we were contacted with updates. The engineer was so helpful! We just moved into the house and he showed us some of the basic maintenance items, gave us quotes for potential issues, but didn’t push us into buying or upgrading anything. Extremely professional. We chose Heat Relief to maintain our heating and cooling system when we bought our house in 2022, on the recommendation of the prior owner. In the three years since, Heat Relief has given us no reason to regret our choice. They have been unfailingly competent, efficient, prompt and courteous, and I would highly recommend them to anyone.

We found a random old pipe coming into the house while installing an egress window. I contacted NW Natural, and they put me in touch with Heat Relief. Heat Relief was able to squeeze me in pretty quick, which was good because of the gaping hole in my front yard. Jared quickly figured out that it was an old gas line that was basically already deleted from the system. He was fast, efficient, and courteous. Just what I needed!

Heat Relief Heating & Cooling was great! Everybody from the office personnel who did the scheduling for our convenience to the installers who were on time, professional, and finished the job in less than 6 hours! We will definitely think of Heat Relief first when it comes to all our HVAC needs.

I had a great experience with a service call from Heat Relief. It turned out to be a simple fix but one only someone who knows what they’re doing would recognize. The tech looked everything over and pointed out a couple components that may be the next to go on my aging furnace. He was patient and took the time to explain what he was doing and what he was checking. I would definitely recommend them.

Not a fun expense to have to handle, but we interviewed 3 companies for this job and Heat Relief was the best from the moment we contacted them. They gave us a very respectful education about our situation, options, what they would do in various scenarios. We are super pleased and our unit is ridiculously quiet and efficient. I felt bad, our neighbor has the same new unit, different company installed it - it whines! He heard ours and his jaw dropped at how quiet it was because it was installed better. I highly recommend Heat Relief Heating and Cooling. They will give you all the options and not try to sway you to extras that mainly benefit them. Super thoughtful, kind, competent, professional.

Heat Relief installed my new furnace and tankless hot water heater.
I call them regularly to purchase filters and finally made an appointment
The technician was super! Very courteous and informative.
I also got a referral for duct cleaning. I trust their opinion
Thank you! -
I had a complex issue with my HVAC gas heater that required extensive troubleshooting and fine tuning. Bob Shores was patient and thorough and was able to resolve the issue. I also had communications with the owner and front office and both were excellent. Their team’s service and communications inspires trust and confidence.

This service was truly awesome! I got home after a lengthy travel stint at 4:30pm in cold Oregon winter weather to a nonfunctioning heater. I called this group first, and they had a technician scheduled to come out the next morning 8am. to 10am. He arrived mid in the range and got the job done same day.
I can't say enough positive things about the technician. He was friendly, efficient, and honest about things on 20+ year old furnace that could be issues in the future, that I could repair now, but realistic about need and/or weighing replacement of the heater itself which is probably nearing it's life and not the most economic sense to create Theseus' ship. I am glad to be starting the new heater fund instead of a repair that's not going to add too much long term value.
10/10 recommend this service! -
Our entire experience with Heat Relief Heating and Cooling was overwhelmingly positive. Our furnace had died and they had a new one installed for us TWO DAYS after we contacted them. Everyone we spoke to, from the office staff to the installers, were friendly and extremely helpful. This is a wonderful company and I would recommend them to everyone.

I called Heat Relief this morning and they assigned Jarrod to come to my house today (same day as my call) to assess my 'gas line job need'. When does that kind of same day customer service experience happen anymore.
Companies forget that employees are their company's face to the customer and I must call it the way I see it i.e. Jarrod was exemplary in every way possible. Not only was I very impressed with the same day service but I give Jarrod a 10 out of 10 score for his courtesy, his honesty, his technical knowledge, his technical creativity, his efficiency and his overall work ethic. Thank you Heat Relief and thank you for hiring the best people and most of all for sending Jarrod to complete my gas line needs today. Please add my name as an extremely strong supporter of the Heat Relief and Jarrod fan club.
Curtis Firstman - a very satisfied customer -
The folks at Heat relief installed a heat pump at my home and I must say that it is refreshing to have a company that does business that way it should be.
The 2 installers were very professional, cleaned up after the install, answered all my questions.
Had a minor glitch and the company took care of it right away.
If you need HVAC work I highly recommend this company! -
Mathew was really courteous and efficient. I had an inspection done and as a homeowner new to having a gas furnace, he was really helpful in explaining the process of what he was doing and how I can best keep the furnace maintained and running smoothly. It was a comfortable and educational experience having him at our home.
While noone was able to make it out on the original date that I had set the appointment it was rescheduled for the next week and I'm very happy with how courteous everyone I had dealt with within the company. I would definitely recommend this company from my experience and the great service that they provided. -
Heat Relief replaced my furnace in the middle of winter and seemed to do a good job so it was only natural we call them when our water heater was on the blink. They sent out someone to look at the site and they spent about a half hour looking at the job, took extensive videos with narration, then said they would get back to us with a quote. We got the quote a few hours later, then a few days later signed our acceptance of the quote. Two trucks showed up yesterday morning along with three techs to complete the job. One of the techs said they needed to talk to their boss because they didn't know how to do the job and said they don't work on houses with pex piping because they would have to buy a new tool and they would lose money on the job. They got orders from the boss to just walk off the job, which they did. The pex pipe was clearly visible in the video. The reasons given for not doing the job were very flimsy and I think it just came down to bidding on a job they did not actually know how to do. I won't be back next year when my gas furnace needs tuning.
UPDATE: There was never any talk about "code requirements" when the three techs were on the job. They only mentioned they would have to buy a new tool, they didn't know how to work with PEX pipe and they would "lose money on the job" if they completed it, despite taking extensive video and giving me a written quote which we both accepted. Another company came out, bid the job for the same amount, sent two techs out two days later, and the two had the job completed in about three hours, and without any difficulty.
