Had a great experience with Sunset Heating and Cooling. They installed a new outlet for our new dryer. Bryan's communication was excellent. He checked to see if we had any other electrical concerns while he was here and gave us quotes for upgrading our electrical panel. He also confirmed that our dryer was operating correctly before he left. I would highly recommend Sunset and Bryan in the future.

I called Sunset Heating and Cooling (whom we’ve used for years) early this morning as our furnace had stopped working. They had a Technician out within a few hours. Eric is very knowledgeable and friendly and explained in great detail all of our options. We made the decision to have the furnace replaced and They will be here today to put in our new furnace and clean the vents. We are very impressed with their promptness, pricing and staff. We would highly recommend Sunset Heating and Cooling to anyone In need of HVAC. There is a reason this company has been in business for over 100 years!

Jacob was amazing! So friendly and approachable. Explained what he was doing clearly and suggested other services without being pushy. Still cannot believe how quickly Sunset was able to get him out here. Hard recommend.

Overall I am now happy with them, and they made it right but it was a long road. Thankfully Jake and Scott got me sorted and Corey helped see the issue that others had been missing.

I originally had ductless put into my home in 2021 and it has never worked great. I finally called to have them come out this fall to see if it needed a tune up. The original sales person had been kind of crap and it never worked the way we were told it should and I have just put up with it since 2021.

This fall, I had three different techs come out over three different days to try and figure out what was going on. Hayden, Manny and Corey were all helpful and professional and it was not until Corey realized that I was sold and had installed two splits that need X about of power each but was sold and had installed a unit that only could provide about 75% needed.

Corey was able to talk to his management and they replaced my whole system with the correct sized units and splits that work together correctly and are working well. It was frustrating because again, I had people come out on a Thursday to fix it only to find issues they were unprepared for, and then a new crew the next day who started from zero again. This fall I had their team at my house on 6 days, on five of those 6 days it was different people and it was as if they never spoke to the previous teams or had access to files.

Finally Jake and Scott actually got me sorted, they came out on a Friday and saw again, new issues and figured out a plan to solve them. Then they came back on Monday and were able to accomplish the plan and get me sorted.

I recognize the company replaced my system for free but I am annoyed it was sold and installed wrong to start with and that without being a squeaky wheel I would still have a poorly functioning system.

When my old furnace failed, Humberto, Billy, and Dan came out the same day and saved us! They were professional, efficient, and friendly. My new furnace was installed before the end of the day. My options were explained clearly, and the work was clean. Outstanding emergency service — highly recommend!

Tammy in the back office was also extremely helpful with the financing part.

The technicians James and Jesus did a great job with our install. They had an unavoidable late start to the day but still got the job done before nightfall. They were clean in work area and did a thorough job explaining what they were doing and what to expect during and after install. House is cozy warm again!
We appreciate the service/sales team providing several options for us to be able to replace our 23 year old furnace with a new one and pay for it in a reasonable timeframe.
Also like the service support we’ll get to make sure it runs smoothly for the next 25 years.

Haydn did a fantastic job of explaining our options for a new thermostat and discussed all the features well. He did a comprehensive look over our systems and was very knowledgeable. Would gladly have him work on our system again.

Matthew S did a great job, was timely and I got the heads up text and phone call which I always appreciate about Sunset. He gave me several options based on discussions we had about work to be done moving forward. I have used Sunset for close to 8 years now and there's a reason I always go back. Great service and their technicians have always been super reliable and professional.

I was able to get scheduled easily the next day. The technician Jason, was extremely nice and informative. He fixed my initial issue and gave me quotes for future projects. I never give reviews but I was so impressed and pleased with his service I felt I had to let others know of my great experience. I will definitely be using Jason for any electrical project I have In the future.

Cory was very friendly, professional, and respectful of our home. He took the time to explain everything clearly and made sure the work was done properly. We really appreciated his positive attitude and professionalism. Highly recommend him and the company

Eric was super friendly. Even my shy dog liked him! Very knowledgeable and equipped to fix several issues, plus made recommendations for future safeguards.

New furnace works great. The tech worked into the evening to finish the install. However, my whole experience with Sunset was extremely disappointing & frustrating. I had to call the technician back to repair minor installation damage, a missing 3" plug for the cabinet, & to connect safety power cutoff wires for the condensation pump he initially tucked beneath the pump & failed to wire to the furnace. Kinda important ya think?

Their duct cleaning service was ridiculous. The first time, the 1st tech showed up almost 2 hours late. I had to call Sunset to find out where he was. When he finally showed up, he only took an hour which I thought was odd so, later that evening I hand checked some of the ducts after removing the vent covers & the ducts were still ridiculously dirty. I demanded a refund. Sunset refunded the duct cleaning costs & sent another tech out to attempt the cleaning on another date. The 2nd attempt went much better.

Lastly, during the furnace installation, I was told by the tech a Sunset folder containing furnace information had been left behind at the office. He advised the duct cleaning tech would bring it with him. When that 1st duct cleaning attempt finally arrived, he didn't know what I was talking about. I then called the office and was told the folder info would be passed on to the install managers & a folder would be forwarded to me. Nothing. I asked the 2nd duct cleaning tech when he arrived. he didn't know about the folder either. Still, nothing.

I was told my furnace purchase receipt was going to be emailed. No email receipt ever received. I checked both "mail" & "spam". I had to call the Sunset office again & the email receipt was finally emailed to me while I was still on the phone. During that same conversation, I again asked about the folder. Still, as of today, nothing. I'm not asking again.

I'll never use this company again, & will not recommend Sunset to anyone.

Haydn did a very professional job inspecting my home (and he's also a very pleasant person). He found a few items that need to be addressed and gave me immediate estimates. Also we detected a potential problem with the roof and it's always great to find these kinds of things before real damage is done.

Regarding my periodic maintenance and inspection of my heating and cooling systems (that Sunset installed a few years ago), he did a great job there too (especially since I hate changing the filter myself). I hope to see Haydn again in 6 months for the next filter change.

We recently had the pleasure of working with Cory at Sunset to fix our air conditioning and replace our thermostat housing, and we couldn’t be happier with the experience. From start to finish, Cory was the epitome of professionalism—he arrived right on time, was incredibly knowledgeable, and even though we were his last appointment of the day, he was still energetic and completely on his game.

Cory took the time to walk us through the new thermostat, making sure we understood how to use all the features. He was friendly, approachable, and patient with all our questions, which made the whole process so much less stressful. It’s never easy having to call someone in for a major repair, but Cory made it easy and worry-free.

We had Sunset install a new HVAC system for our house. The installers were great, did a really nice job and we are super happy with our decision. A special shout out to Brenden for helping coordinate the job.

Great experience with Taylor! I was a little late to appointment and he waited patiently. As I got there he Wea very professional and friendly. Very knowledgeable and not pushy at all. He was quick to get me quit on the spot! I absolutely excepted and signed up for Sunsets maintenance schedule. We are not scheduled yet )my choice) but am looking too it.

I was having a very rough week. I called several to come and give me a quote. The only one that came out was Sunset and their prices were great, financing great and I had a new furnace in by the end if the day thanks to Justin. I have another house for which I will be consulting them again. They actually give you a book of all their promises so it is all in writing and easy to understand. They also indicated that because I will be utilizing them again, they may be able to work me a deal which was great to hear. Everything about Sunset was great!!

Our tenants let us know. We had a system problem with our central heating system on a Sunday morning so we contacted Sunset and they sent a technician to examine our heater on the same day and determined we did need a new heater (rust inside). They installed a new unit the next day our tenants report that it’s working perfectly. This has to be the fastest diagnostics/fix I’ve ever seen for this sort of issue. Amazing! And the technician was very open with his results, showing our tenant the inside of the system via camera and detailed explanation to us, the owners on the phone.

Angel & Alex were amazing, very friendly, professional, efficient & prompt. Excellent work, they explain everything as they go so you understand . I would totally recommend this company to anybody who needs any kind of electrical assistance whatsoever. They came out diagnosed my heaters in the unit I am renting, they got my kitchen heater fixed and usable. Then a short time later they made it back to replace my bedroom heater and living room heater . Both guys are very friendly and do amazing work.

Shane completed a duct cleaning and did an amazing job. I was able to continue to work at my desk while he went from vent to vent without disturbing me. He also gave great recommendations and answered all my questions. Highly recommend.

Eric came out and gave our furnace a tune-up. He was friendly, polite, detail-focused, answered all my questions, and went over the results of his inspection, in great detail. He even shared data from the EPA and other reputable sources! Which I really appreciate. I bought a Sunset annual membership plan -in large part- due to Eric's work ethic and style. He's a real professional, who goes above and beyond. I hope he's well-rewarded by Sunset!
