Plumbing reviews in Portland, Oregon
-
Yesterday, driving through Scappoose on Highway 30 at around 5:25 PM, a lunatic driving a Cascade Plumbing Company van tailed me so closely I thought he was going to hit my car, put his brights on the entire time he was behind me until the other lane was clear and he swerved over with no signal on. I was going 10 over the speed limit the entire time, and it was rush hour so there were plenty of cars on the road. Sometimes you can’t pass the second you want to. I’ve read the other reviews where the ONLY THING people have to say about this company are things about the unchecked psychotic behaviour of someone employed by them. I had my CHILD in the car with me. I understand road-rage if people are driving crazy slow, but that wasn’t the case here. Whoever drives that van is out of their mind. I have told everyone I know in Scappoose, Portland and everywhere else local to stay away from this company. Shame, maybe the plumbing is good, who knows. But with insane behaviour like this being so common, it overshadows anything else.

It was fantastic how quickly we got help. Calvin did outstanding work on our plumbing - getting our disposal to run and unclogging a bad plugged sink. He was a delight to talk with and taught us so much! We will absolutely be requesting him and working with D&F for all future jobs!

Ozzy was communicative, answered questions and offered options, did excellent work, and was very timely. I'm grateful for his help with our water heater replacement and additional insights about other plumbing issues in the house.

D&F plumbing dispatcher & Robert were very professional and easy to work with. Robert communicated well and did his best to figure out our rainwater drain issues. The downside, I haven’t called a plumber before, but the price was a bit shocking. At ~$400-500/hr, $1250 for 2-3 hrs seems steep imho. Maybe that’s normal. Professional & helpful service overall.

Nate was very professional and found and repaired the leak in the toilet - also reviewed one other plumbing concern and developed a solution for me. He was calm and considerate and explained everything that needed to be done- I would absolutely use D&F plumbing again!

Riley did a great job clearing our clogged kitchen sink drain. And he is a nice guy and helped us out. Thanks to his manager, too. Also, both of the people I talked to in Customer Service were so pleasant to talk to - Danielle & Jasmine! It makes a difference to call a company and have nice people answer the phone, try to help and behave as though they value the customer.

Would use Matthew again and highly recommend him and D&F Plumbing to others.
Matthew replaced our toilet with a one-piece ADA elongated toilet, and a bidet. He was easy to talk to, had excellent workmanship, was on time, strong & capable, and left a clean work area. We would definitely use him again and highly recommend him and D&F Plumbing to others. -
I used D & F plumbing to replace my shower valve cartridge because my shower head was leaking. Eddy was our plumber. He was wonderful! Eddy was professional, courteous, and knew what he was doing. I would recommend Eddy for any plumbing job. I had a great experience!

D&F Plumbing and Calvin Illa, our plumber were amazing! Found the part (we thought was unfindable btw according to research and looking around) and was back to do the work in 20ish mins. Both showers working in about 30-45 mins of work. An absolute breeze. Only complaint, why does it cost so so much lol but I don’t blame the company or Calvin for this, it’s just the way of the world unfortunately! 10/10 would recommend company and plumber.

We had a stellar experience with D&F plumbing who repaired some plumbing issues in our home’s crawlspace. They explained exactly what they would do. From quote to scheduling to arrival, communication was seamless. We had such a great experience with Frankie and D&F we are having them back to install a utility sink in the garage. Highly recommend!

Eddy was so wonderful! I had a leaking and slow draining kitchen pipe which he fixed in a timely manner. He was very kind and explained everything thoroughly. Also he did not try to sell me anything I didn’t need, which he says is a standard guideline for D and F Plumbing. What a great employee and company!

GOAT!! Nobody likes to call a plumber when your toilets overflow and start raining down front the ceiling into the kitchen and overflowing the downstairs bathroom and the mud sink in the garage. So Calvin spent hours working his butt off. Tried all the tricks. He had to pull a toilet to get auger and camera access. Ho found the clog but it would give up. Calvin took a trip into the crawlspace (no rhanks), he banged, wiggled, and broke it loose. I'm so glad I called D&F plumbing and I'm glad they sent Calvin. Top notch work and very friendly. Definitely will call again.

Our installer was very nice and hardworking. One thing to beware of is in our case, they had to tear into our wall to replace the pipes for the new toilet, no problem, that was listed on the quote, but what they didn't explain is they would be leaving the holes in the wall that they had to cut, I felt for the price charged, they should have mentioned repairing the wall wasn't included. But, next time I'll try to be more diligent on checking all that's covered.
Again, the repairman man was awesome and that wasn't his fault. -
Was very happy with Eddy Strands service from D&F Plumbing service. He was on time, very friendly and pleasant. Kept me informed and updated with everything he was doing and why. Detected what the problem was and made all repairs in a timely manner. Most of all he seemed to enjoy my sarcastic sense of humor.🤪 Would recommend both Eddy and D&F Plumbing.

Nate is great! He was professional and efficient. I appreciate how he explained what he would be doing and he was also a big hit with our cats.
Their customer service team was also fantastic. Friendly, helpful, and available 24hrs/day. I liked that they send a text message alert when the journeyman is on their way with their name and picture so you know who to expect in your home. -
Ozzy was such a delight to work with. Fast, efficient, and helped me with so much. Went above and beyond to show me and teach me some things. Will use this company again and specifically ask for Ozzy Next time I have a plumbing issue!

Jason Reid was very helpful. Was here early and got straight to work. Found the problem right away! Was mindful of no shoes in my home and wore covers over his shoes, which I appreciated very much. Would 100% recommend him!

UPDATE: Manager Brad sent a fantastic plumber over, Nathan, who completely cleared my list of plumbing needs for a very reasonable price. He was practical, neat, everything I like in a plumber. I do appreciate that they resolved the problem. We will definitely use Nathan again.
I called to schedule an appointment with a specific plumber for a list of plumbing issues and a minor drain issue. Some manager called the day of the appointment and said they were sending someone else as the fellow I requested wasn't available. The guy they sent, while pleasant enough, was NOT a plumber - he ONLY did drains and we were charged $500 for a slow bathroom sink drain, which could have waited. While the guy who came said plumbers don't do drains, this is absurd as I should have been told that before the guy came. NONE of our plumbing needs was addressed (including replacing part of that drain). -
Ozzy was great to work with! He was very helpful in understanding our issues and explaining his planned approach. He did a great job installing our garbage disposal and was a pleasure to have in our house. Would definitely reach out to Ozzy for any future needs!

I have to update and lower my rating. I called about a clogged kitchen sink drain which after paying $850. just for that seemed to be cleared. However 2 days later it was clogged again and also now there was no hot water in the shower since there was debris in the shower cartridge from the main being turned off and back on during replacement of the kitchen shut off valves.
When I called about having D and F return to clear the drain for no additional cost, I was ghosted. I called RotoRooter then and for under 500. had the drain clog completely cleared (with a 6 month guarantee) and another 500. for the shower cartridge debris removal. It took 3 calls over a week to D and F to finally get someone to talk to me. They did apologize for not returning calls and explained their gentle approach to drain clearing with old pipes. I would rather have had them tell me that they could 100% clear the drain but with some risk to pipes. I would have chosen that option. Also, if there is a risk of debris being loosened from turning off and on the main, why wouldn't you check the showers and faucets after? I would have paid more if needed to clear it out. My whole house repiping job is now going to another company. -
Eddy arrived at early end of time-window provided. He was informative and professional. He discussed each finding in depth. Work got done in one visit, and within 3 or 4 hours. There was more to be done than a simple leaky pipe as my tenant tried to fix problem himself and that didn't go well. Eddy provided photos, and I'm happy and confident with explanation of work needed.
Price surprised me, but promised discounts were applied as requested at onset of work. He repaired the work the tenant did, and snaked the plumbing which had years of debris. $1900 was price after discount. I have nothing to compare it to...but, am satisfied with work done and Eddy's part in it.
Good work!
