I had been using J. Halligan & Sons for years for maintenance and repairs of my home oil heating system. They kept my oil heating system in good running condition for years until I replaced the oil unit with a new natural gas unit. They've also maintained the HVAC units at our church for years. Just this past summer they did a phenomenal job installing a new HVAC unit in the main sanctuary of our church. Mark Halligan handled everything and the Halligan HVAC installation team was the best. If I have any say in the matter, J. Halligan & Sons will continue to receive our repair calls for years to come.

Hieu from J Halligan & Sons serviced my oil heater. He was very professional and nice. He gladly explained everything I had question about regarding what he was cleaning and replacing. He was meticulous with his work and when he was done servicing the oil heater, he cleaned it to spotless. Thank you Hieu for your hard work and patience to explain things to me. I would love to do business with Hieu again.

We have been 20+ year customers of Halligan Oil. They have been reliable, skilled and responsive. Using oil for heat and hot water is expensive, Halligan understands this and works with us to keep our costs in line. When we have a problem--weekend or holiday--someone is always on call and responds. Many Halligan service providers know our home and have come to know us well. And with the occasional lapse--when we run out of oil, something repaired is not working properly, something is still broken that should have been diagnosed--they have the right skills, respond and fix it, quickly. We recommend Halligan Oil.

I have been dealing with J. Halligan & Sons for over 50 years. They have provided the HVAC services for the houses I have owned and I have always found them to be a reasonable and responsible contractor.

Beware! After paid in full for service on a new boiler, hot water tank and gas line, there was a small seeping drip from one of the unused return lines which should’ve had a cap on it. Called the owner who acted like I was bothering him and told me not to call him again on his phone. Both the owner and the office want to charge a service fee to come out to look at this tiny issue for a few hundred bucks. This is not very good customer service. I’ll go with other companies for future service on heat or AC. They will not honor their work and will charge you if they have to return. Good luck taking your chances with Mark.

If you like to pay a service fee for work that was just done last month then go ahead.

I can’t speak highly enough of J. Halligan +Sons, Inc and the tech Auge. The entire experience from the moment the tech walked into my house was fantastic. He was friendly and efficient. He was not only knowledgeable but also took the time to address all my questions and concerns that I had. When he left my house I was feeling confident with the work he did on my heater. I have a nearly 100 year old home and for 20 years, would put in and remove window air conditioning units. This has been a nuisance and was damaging the windows. Because of the age of the home, it has limited closet space and plaster walls. Neither is ideal for central AC with large duct work. I finally decided to go with the ductless Mitsubishi mini splits system and chose Marvin E Kanze for installation. From the day I called the office, the process was easy! Joff called me right back and came out to go over EVERYTHING. While mini splits are the perfect cooling solution for my home, this company made my final decision! The process began in mid-November and with winter weather snags, installation happened in early January. I haven’t been able to use the cooling part of the system but the heating worked beautifully - it was a nice addition to the bedroom warmth on a few super cold nights. The team at Marvin E Kanze did a wonderful job with the installation! They were courteous, respectful and finished the job in 5 days, as expected. Since installation was in winter, someone will come out to do a quick service check in May to make sure all is well with the cooling part of the system. I am thrilled to no longer need window units and can’t wait to use my new AC!! Thank you to Joff and the whole team at Marvin E Kanze.

This summer our air conditioning went down just hours before we had guests arriving for a party at our home! We called marvin e kanze and their service tech had it up and running just in time to save the day! It later turned out we needed a new furnace and condenser and the Kanze team stepped up once again. Our salesman, Joff Barbash, offered us several options and helped us find the right equipment for our home. The install team was prompt and courteous and left our home clean and comfortable. I would highly recommend marvin e kanze to anyone looking for quality, honesty and affordable heating and cooling solutions.

The entire process from start to finish was smooth. We were very happy with Joff and the team. Joff was professional, knowledgeable and personable. Harry (Team Leader) was extremely knowledgeable. He was also personable and understanding of my Mother's needs (her house is 50+ years old with no prior system/duct work). The team was efficient, and worked very hard to get the job done right and in a timely manner. Joff oversaw everything and checked in with us constantly to make sure our needs were met. Our water heater wasn't working on a Sunday night in the middle of the winter! I called Jonathan Kanze from Marvin E Kanze HVAC on Monday morning to have him come out to look at our unit. He was at my house within two hours and we had a new 50 Gallon hot water heater installed the following morning . The customer service was outstanding. Jonathan is professional , reliable, friendly and courteous. His staff who installed the unit was great. I highly recommend Marvin Kanze inc. We had a phenominal experience .

Not only did I receive excellent customer service when I called with a heat emergency, but everyone I dealt with was kind, courtious, and so wonderful. I immediately felt at ease and as though I could trust this company to offer me the best quality service and product. I needed a new HVAC and they were able to get it ordered, installed, and working within one week of diagnosing my problem. The installers took time to explain everything to me and to teach me how to use my new system. They cleaned up after themselves and were really great to work with. It was an excellent experience working with the Marvin E. Kanze's team from initial contact for consultation all the way through post installation follow-up; HIGHLY RECOMMEND. I wanted to add to the many great review this family run business has earned. We were looking to replace our 1999 HVAC system with a new high efficiency system. Joff is professional, very knowledgeable and through. Instead of just caring about the sale and selling as many and the most expensive equipments, he instead inquired on what our HVAC goals were, did through research, analysis and came up with a best fit proposal. Joff identified (confirmed previous assessments) that our furnace was under sized and designed a system that addressed our comfort issues. He also advise against additional equipment I inquired about because he explained why it wouldn't be cost beneficial. I am a techie and appreciate the time Joff took to discuss and educate me and my wife on many questions we had in order for us to make an inform decision. Among multiple proposal we evaluated, Marvin E. Kanze proposal was very fair. Harry and Marty the technicians that did the installation were also very professional, through, and explained in detail all that they were doing. They take pride and care in the quality of their work! The project was started and completed as planned and on time with minimal disruption.

Marvin Kanze provides excellent and timely service. I’ve needed work done on my heat pump twice in the last 6 months and they came out to look at it within 24 hours. They are also honest and affordable. That same heat pump later needed replaced. They helped me choose the best one for my home and had it installed less than a week after doing the evaluation. The installation crew was knowledgeable, worked quickly and was considerate. They took the time to explain how my heat pump works and how to properly care for it. I would recommend Marvin Kanze to anyone. I tried 2 other HVAC companies and there is no comparison. Call Marvin Kanze!

Brendan deserves full marks (and a hefty holiday bonus, please!) for the remarkable work he did for us today! Not only was he able to get out to us on the same day of our request, but he had the problem diagnosed within minutes, and all fixed shortly thereafter without even having to order parts or schedule additional repairs. Thanks to him, we will not have to go through the weekend without heat! And as if that weren’t enough to earn our gratitude, he was a true gentleman and flexible with our work schedules to make sure it got fixed right away. Top-notch service and top-notch expertise! I just first off want to say how satisfied we are about the exceptional service we received from both Joff and everyone at Marvin E. Kanze, Inc.! My wife and I have lived in our townhome for two years, and knew we would need to replace our HVAC system at some point. We were hoping to get another summer out of our AC unit, but the unit had other plans. I had other companies come in to give me a quote prior to contacting Joff. He was able to come inspect my HVAC system within a day of calling! They were also able to give me a better and more reasonable price then the other companies. He was very informative of the issues he saw and provided extensive detail of everything. In the end, we decided to get everything replaced: A/C, Furnace, and water heater. Knowing we did not have working A/C, Joff was able to squeeze us in very quickly to have the job completed. The workers did a fantastic job during the installation process and followed all of the guidelines in connection with COVID-19.

Upon first meeting Joff, you'll love him. He's personable, understanding, and a delight to talk to. He listened to our needs so well and came up with a plan that fit our family needs right away. Not only that, Joff took into consideration our future home renovation plans and strategically worked to accommodate any foreseeable changes. He's a charming and effective leader for his team.
All the workers and specialists that came to our home were great. They were courteous and professional. They made sure that we knew each one of their names, even if it was just for the day. They laid down the tarp and wore shoe covers when in the house. The two main workers, Brendan and Ross, spent most of the time with us and we really enjoyed having them in our house. They worked tirelessly, even on the hottest days, in the 100 degree attic, all day to finish the work they needed to do. Brendan was super knowledgeable and skilled. He was so patient in answering all of our questions, walking us through the process, and running things to demonstrate for us. He would be here past a normal work day hours just so he could take care of all our needs, all very pleasantly. It seems that he really enjoys what he does.
Joff dropped in constantly to check in with us, hear our concerns or questions, and made sure all of them were addressed and satisfied. We also just really enjoyed chatting with him. A big bonus with Joff is that he is very resourceful and well connected in the field of home renovation. He was generous and kind enough to share connections with us that he had personally encountered and approved. We really appreciated that.
