I am so happy with the work done by Rick Hartman Plumbing. Nick was quick to respond to any questions. As a first time home owner, it was reassuring that Nick was listening to all of my questions and explaining things in a way that made sense! Nick and his team were professional and cleaned up after al the work was done. I've already recommended Rick Hartman Plumbing to friends and family!!

Had 5 copper pipes with pinholes so, after a year of changing to PEX each time, we decided to have all the plumbing changed. No more surprising leaks! The 2 men, Steve and Nick, met all our expectations…knowledgeable, neat and very respectful. So pleased with their work ethic… top notch!

I had an old outdoor hose hookup break on me, and Nick from Rick Hartman was out within a day to get me fixed up. They also were able to come out earlier than expected which is always amazing. Cindy from reception was also a delight, getting me an estimate and appointment super fast. The total repair took less than a half hour and was extremely reasonable. Nick was easy to talk to, explained what he was doing with each step, left no mess and everything works perfectly now! I highly recommend this business to anyone!

Excellent professional service and personal attitude. Dan did a great job fixing the leaking valve, took time to answer questions of a newbie homeowner, the office was very patient and at the same time quick to respond, overall great experience. And very reasonable pricing. Highly recommend.

I would absolutely highly recommend Rick Hartman Plumbing! They have done plumbing work for me several times over the years, and they have always delivered high quality work in a very timely manner, and they have been both professional and friendly. Their customer service has always been great, and I want to say that Nick takes customer service to another level! I recently had a very tricky issue with my master shower drain that Nick was able to completely resolve. He took the time to explain everything, and answer all of my questions to the point where I completely understood the situation. It felt very good to understand exactly what Nick was doing to fix the problem! He recognizes that he is not just performing plumbing work to get it done, and move on to the next job, but that he is doing the work for somebody’s home, so he treats each job as I believe he would if it was work he was doing in his own house! For my most recent issue, Nick spent much more time than anticipated, but he did not charge us any additional. fees It was clear that he was more concerned with ensuring that all was right, and that we were completely satisfied!

Updated yet again 2026 - I have once again had a great experience with Rick Hartman Plumbing. Had some pinhole leaks spring up overnight and Damon was here in the morning to take care of the issue quickly and professionally. Updated Review - Dan & Nick completely replaced my sump pump within just a few hours of my initial call, which was during a torrential downpour. My basement was taking on water, but these guys got everything taken care of with ease. This company is great to work with & is the only plumbing company that my family calls.

Hats off to Rick Hartman Plumbing and plumber extraordinare Dan Carpenter! I'm sure he probably didn't want to come out on a call on a rainy Sunday afternoon during the Steelers game any more than WE wanted to have to call a plumber, but you'd never know! Dan was courteous and THE most knowledgeable plumbing professional we've EVER had in our home over many years. Efficient and got the job DONE right! SO happy! Alright, Dan!!

Excellent service. I called this morning with a clogged basement drain and there were out ina few hours, fixed the problem and left the area spotless. All this and cost much less than a national company I contacted first. I highly recommend Hartman Plumbing!

We had a unique and time sensitive situation. During a traumatic family emergency, the HVAC and sewer line needed to be replaced. Not only did Nick take the time to answer every question we had, but he went above and beyond to make certain we were given the care needed.

Nick was great. We wanted a mini split installed in our upstairs. He came out and did an estimate for us and was extremely informative and helpful in breaking everything down. He then quickly scheduled the install and completed the work. He did a great job. The work was very clean and presentable. He took the to explain how the unit operated and answered the questions I had. I would highly recommend for all of your HVAC and plumbing needs!

I recently had an urgent issue with my kitchen sink backfilling and not draining at all. After initially contacting them for estimates a week ago, Cindy came to the rescue by accommodating my request to move the appointment a day early due to the kitchen sink issue. Nick's punctuality and professionalism were outstanding—he not only arrived within the hour but also took the time to explain his approach thoroughly. What I appreciated was that Nick said he starts with the least aggressive approach first, then increases as necessary. Thanks to his expertise and diligence, the sink was draining like new after just a couple of rounds of air and drill snaking.

Throughout the process, Nick maintained a high level of professionalism, ensuring that he left the area cleaner than he found it! While we were testing the kitchen sink, we switched over to discuss the other estimates I had requested. His willingness to address all my 100s questions and concerns with patience and expertise was very much appreciated - it never felt as if I was asking a dumb question. While there may be some lead time for projects, Rick Hartman and Nick's exemplary service and dedication make them well worth the wait. From start to finish I had an excellent experience with Rick Hartman Plumbing. I had a few dripping and corroding copper pipes and fittings in my basement that needed to be replaced with PEX. Communication was great, Rick arrived on time, was very kind and detail-oriented, he explained everything to me in terms I could understand, and I’m very happy with the craftsmanship of his work. He was in and out of here in less than 3 hours and my problem has been resolved. Pricing was fair and upfront, and I was able to pay with a debit card online. A very nice experience given the circumstances.

Nick is one of the most professional, reliable, and qualified plumbers that I have ever came across. The entire customer experience from the initial walk down, detailed estimate , execution, testing, labeling of the lines, clean up of the work etc. was 10+ for the large scope in the multi family home (2 apartments) including running new water lines, adding drains for each bathroom, kitchen, washer and dryer and adding new gas lines was exceptional. I cannot recommend enough Rick Hartman Plumbing for all your plumbing needs regardless of the size and scope of your project. Reliability, quality, excellent communication and completion of work at fair prices is what you can expect at all times from Rick Hartman Plumbing every time!

Yesterday, Nov 13, all of a sudden, I needed a new hot water tank. My previous plumber was out of business and a neighbor recommended Rick Hartman Plumbing. It turned out that that was the best ever recommendation. Their service was quick, professional, polite and respectful. I highly recommend them.

Had a leak that was getting worse quickly. Dan and Nick found it and fixed it. They were polite & professional. They cleaned up and all is good now. Reasonably priced. We have used them a couple of times in the past. We highly recommend them!

I’m approaching the finish line of a four-day major plumbing repair at my home that included concrete excavation and sewer line reconfiguration/replacement, and I have had a phenomenal experience.

Absolutely 5 stars for Steve, Nick, and Adam! These guys have been nothing short of outstanding. From the very beginning, their customer service has been top-notch — professional, responsive, and always willing to explain things clearly and patiently. Their knowledge and experience were immediately evident, and they brought a level of confidence and calm to every step of this job. It is obvious that they take pride in what they do and actually care about the customer experience as much as the finished product.

What really stood out was their pleasant and respectful demeanor — they were friendly, courteous, and made a messy, complicated project feel manageable and even stress-free. Despite working in an incredibly dirty and demanding environment (not to mention rainy), they kept the worksite as neat and organized as possible, which I truly appreciated. It’s rare to find a team that checks every box: skill, communication, cleanliness, and a great attitude.

As a sidenote, I have Homeserve insurance and had the option to make a claim in order to have this issue partially paid for (since they only pay for foundation to utility). I had such a positive experience with Steve and a previous furnace-related issue that I opted out of a significant financial savings due to the level of trust and faith I had in Steve, in particular.

Lastly, I work with clients and employees as part of a 5,000+ employee team organization and routinely teach customer service and customer experience principles. It’s hard to impress me, but these guys did. I wouldn’t hesitate to recommend your company — and especially Steve, Nick, and Adam — to anyone looking for a plumbing contractor.

Steve and his co worker came to my house sooner than expected which was awesome considering we had no water. They were courteous, professional and hard working. They explained everything and why it needed done. I feel they charged fairly and did a great job! They will be my new plumbing company for sure! Thanks Guys!

Hartman plumbing removed my old concrete sink and replaced it with a new smaller sink. They added a standpipe for my washing machine, rerouted vent lines and installed beautifully done copper water lines and valves. Steve did an excellent, professional job. He answered my many questions thoroughly. Steve arrived on time with the owner, Rick, right behind him to look the job over. Nick, had given me the estimate the same day he came out to look at it and the final cost was the same as the estimate given. Clean up was done very thoroughly. I would use them again without hesitation.

Dan Carpenter of Rick Hartman Plumbing was at my house this week to replace my hot water heater. He was here most of the day as it was a difficult space where the water heater was located. He worked hard for hours never taking a break. He discovered additional problems that I wasn’t aware of and fixed them (leak near my laundry area, possible leak in bathroom pipes, toilets continuously running). He is returning next week to replace my shower head that is leaking as well as install isolation valves for the shower/ toilet.

During his time at my house he heard me on the phone and realized that I was possibly being scammed by fraudulent people asking personal questions. He told me to hang up and call my bank. The bank advised me to take my computer to Geek Squad at Best Buy for a malware scan.

I commend Dan for his integrity and work ethic. He was amazing during a difficult day.

Going forward I will be using Rick Hartman Plumbing as my go to plumber.
