Rick was awesome. So nice, knew his business and left our basement spotless. I needed him to fix another plumber’s mistake, and when he was done, it looked great and was up to code. I will definitely be having Rick do my plumbing projects from now on.

I highly recommend Rick Hartman Plumbing. We have been using them for years and every single person has provided exceptional service, been very professional and personable.

Please consider another plumber if you have older plumbing
They came to repair a bath tub knobs that wouldn't shut off
He replaced the stems on the knobs and only after fixing it, he said there's no warranty on his work.
The job was done, 470 dollars, used it 4 times and doesn't shut off completely
Called Nick , he read my receipt to me! Kept over talking me reading the receipt, then accussed me of over talking him

The plummer that was here, never said he thought it would continue dripping, he did say no warranty AFTER the repair was done...not signing the repair receipt wouldn't have changed that fact

We had a full repiping of our home. The company attended to pin hole leaks, promptly provided estimate and scheduled the work immediately on our acceptance of the bid. Before the work could be done, they immediately attended to a new leak, which took two techs, two hours, at no charge. The company did the job within the projected two days and promptly addressed punch list items. The workers were very polite and respectful. We are extremely pleased with the experience and would highly recommend them.

My original plumber bailed on my project to convert from a power vent gas water heater to a hybrid electric. Reached out to many plumbers and Rick Hartman came through.

The original quote was $595 which I thought it was a great deal. I sent the pictures of the current set up and everything was ready to go. Then the technician came through and said it was more complicated and request to delay the project by 2-days. Then on the day, they requested another 2-days due to staffing. Also since it was more complicated, they wanted to change the pricing to labor hr + material.

On the day of the work, the first technician showed up at 9 and the second technician 9:30. It was a two man job since the 65 gallon hybrid is heavy.

So the final bill was ~$1000, 4.75 hours + ~$215 material. The physical work was done at 1:35 pm. I am not surprised by the invoice amount but did not get a list of material used.

In short, if you have a simple water heater replacement at the flat rate, I think Rick is a great resource.

Included pics of the draining pan and the piping. I supplied the expansion tank, pvc 3 inch cap and draining pan.

The owner contact me and provided an updated material list and cost. Other than the traditional markup, the material cost is reasonable.

After using the unit and the installation for a couple of days. The condenser tube was cut too short and does not reach the floor drain. No job is perfect.

Called because of all the great Google reviews and I’m so glad I did!! I called on a Sunday night and got a call back Monday for a Tuesday appointment. Damon came out and literally stopped the rain from coming through my aunt’s living room ceiling from a broken pipe.

He had to cut the ceiling open to find a cracked pipe that’s was from 1950. He didn’t have the part that day but promised to be back Wednesday morning—and he was right on time. He fixed the pipe and even reset the toilet my husband had moved trying to track the leak.

Damon was super professional, friendly, and just a pleasure to work with. Pricing was very fair. We grabbed their cards because they are officially our go-to plumbing company now. Highly recommend!!

Had them out to do work at my grandparents house and they did a great job! The technicians were very friendly and helpful. They had the issue resolved very quickly and did amazing work! I will definitely be using them again in the future.

I recently lost my husband of 61 years and as often happens immediately after a tragedy something breaks and you need help. Major water line. I called Rick Hartman plumbing and was able to quickly get an appointment. Very fair price. The service and kindness of Dan and Caelin was outstanding. They made a very difficult time much easier. I would highly recommend Rick Hartman Plumbing.

I contacted Hartman because my main line was backing up. They came out and attempted to clean the line, and found my house trap had shifted and was no longer attached to the main line. The next day they returned and got it replaced. I've had no issues since, and they even explained how to check the trap, if I have issues down the line. Great company and great people! Wouldn't hesitate to call them back for future repairs.

Can’t thank you enough for all of your help. Technician was very professional and knowledgeable. Was able to open up my clogged main sewer line and determine the cause for the sewer line back up. I would highly recommend your company to anyone that needs plumbing service.

Richard replaced a toilet for me. He was very cordial and efficient. He removed the old toilet, as well as all the packaging materials from the new one. He provided the necessary materials to complete the job. He already had what was needed on his truck. I also got several estimates for some other projects from him and I definitely plan on using him again. I highly recommend him, he’s good people!

After the job was finished there was a backup in my upstairs bathtub and toilet and there was flooding in the basement bathroom where pipes were replaced and repairs were done from what sounds like a leak in the wall from newly installed pipes. I can hear the water dripping but I don't see where it's coming from and I had to put drop cloths on the floor to soak up the water. So I can give a good review after all of this.

Absolutely outstanding work. Sean and Jay were great to work with and did a tough job on time and at budget. I'll definitely be working with them again and I'd suggest the same for anyone reading this review.

Rich came to our house around midnight, to check on our hot water heater. The pilot light kept going off. After further inspection of the tank he concluded that there was a sensor malfunction and would have to order parts and come back in the morning. He reassured us that it was safe to go to sleep. After talking on the phone, we determined that just replacing the parts on a14 yr. Old hot water tank would eventually malfunction again and probably would only last another 2-3 years. We decided to just replace the whole tank. He installed it in a short time and went on to go above and beyond. I would recommend Rich for future work. He was very kind, professional and thorough . Very nice and professional, great experience and fixed my clogged sink

Had a mega gross backed up sewer drain, called in the morning and had an appointment for noon. Jay and Dakota came out, diagnosed the problem and fixed it right away. They were friendly, polite, and professional. Will definitely call them again!

I noticed a plumbing leak just a few hours before I was scheduled for work and was scrambling to find a trustworthy plumbing company. Dakota at K&D showed up quickly and walked me through the repair allowing me to leave for work, safely knowing my house was in good hands. I came home to a professional repair and would recommend K&D to anyone in the Pittsburgh area.

I had 2 furnaces and a water heater installed by another contractor,that ended up causing both furnaces and water heater to be red tagged during a regular check up.
Knight & Day came promptly,diagnosed what the issues were and fixed promptly. So gas was able to be turned back on. Will do all my plumbing/hvac work them in the future.

Dakota and Jay did a fabulous job installing a new water heater. They were punctual, professional and personable. I give them 10/10. Knight and Day has my gratitude and my business in the future.

Absolutely amazing people! I had black water backing up in my bathtub and water leaking from my ceiling at 6am. I called all the bigger names first only to be told we can't help you until 9am. Richard came out at 7am explained everything that happened and fixed it all in 2 hours and SOOO much cheaper then what the bigger names were quoting me just to come out. Not even to fix it!
