A few months ago my son came over to eat one night and was down in our basement where are heating unit was. We had noticed every since our heating unit was installed a few years ago that there was a smell in the basement but we were told by the guys at Ted Fugent, who install the unit, that it was just a smell that the units that were dual-fuel had. My son said we had a gas leak. We called Our gas company to check the unit and when they came out they said the unit had been leaking every since it was installed because it was installed improperly. So for several years our unit had been leaking gas all the time because the installation was done wrong. At any time we could have had a disaster because the unit was leaking gas. We paid over $7,400 for this unit and it was a top-of-the-line Carrier unit. For this to have happened is beyond anything we could imagine. We would never recommend Ted Fugent to anyone.

Ted Fugunt Heating and Air Came out to service my unit. They serviced my unit and found copper wires rubbing and fixed them for free. Also they found my contactor burnt pretty bad and my capacitor bad. They had the parts on their van and didnt have to go anywhere to get the parts. For the service call and the parts it wasn't expensive at all. Also they had a coupon and mentioned it at the time of service. Highly recommend giving this business for any of your HVAC needs

Top quality work. They explain our issues well and helped us to find the perfect replacement. Extremely professional and cleaned up all traces they were even there. I would highly recommend them to anyone.

I was having a problem with my air conditioner not cooling my home so I contacted Ted Fugunt Heating and Air. A gentleman by the name of Charles came out diagnosed the problem and let me know what the cost would be upfront in order to take care of the problem. He was very courteous and prompt. The problem was fixed the same day!! Will definitely use Ted Fugunt again. Nothing like walking into a cool home when it is 90 degrees outside in Tennessee!!

My A/C was broken when the heat index was in the upper 90s. Their receptionist and on-site crew were polite, friendly, and easy to work with. They came out and serviced my house within hours and got the A/C going again. HIGHLY recommend using them for any of your A/C needs. They have my business as long as I'm in Chattanooga.

Sadly after 21 years our Carrier unit blew a compressor. Called Ted Fugent that I have used for same 21 years. They agreed time to replace with a new unit. Blake took care of our needs and Preston did a great job on the install. Thanks guys.., hopefully another 21 years.

These guys are the best at installation and maintenance of our heating and air unit. We purchased a carrier unit from them. The install went very smooth. We have them out twice a year for maintenance. I highly recommend them for you HVAC needs.

They installed a heat and air unit 3 to 4 years ago. In the meantime, the company went under new ownership but is still using the same name. I think there is a new owner. The unit is still under warranty. The unit stopped working recently. There was an issue with how the unit was installed initially. They said they would not fix it under the warranty because the warranty only covers the unit not their shoddy installation or workmanship. So if their installer doesn’t install it properly, the warranty doesn’t cover repairing the issue that they themselves created. What an awesome company! 😉

I have been a customer of Ted Fugunt Heating and air for over 20 year's
They replace unit's at two different houses and maintained the one at my current house for 10 years. Never had any issues with the company. Always charged a fair price.

We have used Ted Fugunt for a decade for seasonal HVAC maintenance. The unit started having some issues a week before the scheduled fall service. We called and they got us rescheduled for the following morning. Charles Brown was super friendly, respectful, and professional. He got us all set up and good to go until the next maintenance is due. Thanks Charles.

I do the maintenance contract where they come out twice a year to clean and check my air unit. There service people are always on time and friendly. On this call they discovered a capacitor going bad and replaced it. Much better than having my unit go down during the hot summer months.

We have always had seasonal checks on our heating and air and were having great service until last year when our repairman was replaced with another technician. That man said we needed a new air filter but would have to order it and would get back with us. It's a year later, they skipped our winter check-up with no contact from him. Last month our unit froze up with a big ball of ice on the outside pipe and to later learn that a thick slab of ice had also formed inside. This is a result of a bad filter that was never ordered and delivered. When we realized the problem and the same technician came out, I was disappointed. He, of course, said I needed a new filter, which when he pulled it out it was sopping wet and falling apart! He said, again that he didn't have a filter and would have to go get one, and to also let the unit "defrost". He did come back but charged me an extra $50 for coming back to put the filter in, in addition to the $175 service charge and another $175 for the filter. The next day I received my electric bill and the result of the bad filter, causing the unit to freeze up, caused our electric bill to go up an extra $100 dollars. His excuse for missing the winter check was that he was the only one doing everything and they were so busy. It's the extra $50 that added insult to injury realizing it was their fault that the unit got in this condition. Seems they're too busy to follow up on important issues and then charge extra for their mistakes...not a happy customer...and that is my recent experience with Ted Fugunt.

Hot weather is near and if anyone needs a recommendation of a heat and air service company I would highly recommend Ted Fugunt heating and air.
Several years ago in July our air conditioning unit stopped working and had to be replaced.
We contacted Ted Fugunt and he promptly had a new Carrier unit installed which has performed great for our family.
Ted’s team has serviced the unit twice a season for the last several years and kept it working perfectly.
Their company has always consistently gone above and beyond to help us with our heat and air when needed.

They suppose fix our heat. Last less than 3 months and did the exact same thing. I wouldn't recommend them. All he wanted to do was upsell. Go with any other contractor, you'll have a better chance.
