Unreliable. They Installed a new system into my house I purchased a year ago. Refrigerant leak last night in the attic caused unit to ice up and fail less than 24 hours before I leave the country. Meanwhile my house is to be occupied with pets and pet sitter with no AC. Tech from Baileys heating and air (who we thought did the install but further research revealed it was performed by Reliable) identified a bad solder joint on one of the lines. Call Reliable and spoke with the service supervisor who said they are a week out from performing any work and had zero compassion or understanding the aftermath of possible sloppy mediocre install work on their end. So they don't actually have 24/7 emergency service nor do they care.

Excellent experience. We recently moved into a house in North Chattanooga that had a 20 year old air conditioner upstairs, which failed as soon as we moved in. Reliable was super responsive - they came out the next day to provide an estimate on a new 2-ton 15.2 seer Armstrong split heat pump. Reliable’s quote was a little higher than the others but the higher seer qualified for a $500 rebate, which Reliable submitted on our behalf. They were also able to install within 2 days on a day that was in the upper 90s. Everyone was very courteous and professional. They even followed up 2 weeks later with a visit from a technician to ensure everything was working properly. Highly recommend.

These guys are so nice. I was dealing with another company that made me feel like i was dealing with used car salesmen. Will came in with an explanation about the company and showed me what needed to be done without trying to sell me Canada as well. The team was in and out and everything is running smoothly. Will even let me know about two rebates that will help with the cost; the other company didn't even mention this. Thank you so much guys. I will be using Reliable from now on.

Everyone we came in contact with at Reliable was polite, professional and knowledgeable.They replaced two units at our home and our house has stayed the perfect temperature ever since. They gave us multiple options from which to choose , along with the pros and cons of each option. The workmen were punctual, efficient and friendly - plus, they left the area clean at the end of each day. I would recommend Reliable to anyone looking for an honest, trustworthy and top-notch heating and air company.

The Best Customer Service ever!

$1400 down the drain. September 2024: Reliable came out to service our A/C. Billed $394 for the repair. No issue there. My wife was pregnant at the time and A/C was necessary for her comfort. Two days later our A/C was again not working properly. The technician came out again and without consulting us about the work (or cost) to be done and began to attempt to repair the unit. When he finally came to the door he had an invoice for $1,064 of additional costs for parts just to test the system. And then let us know that it would probably also need ANOTHER $2000 worth of parts to complete the repair. Had we known that he was going to install a furnace control board, transformer, and capacitor, and then still need a new motor, we would have just considered buying a new unit. The technician left with our unit completely non-working and another $1,064 of our money. I spoke with reliable on multiple occasions about the lack of up-front communication. They expressed regret. The sales rep was very kind, but offered no recourse other than to take $1,000 of the cost of a new $11K unit. No option of a full or partial refund. $1,400 gone and nothing to show for it folks. 2 stars, only because the tech and the sales rep were kind people, but this was a fully unreliable and frankly, hurtful experience otherwise. I truly think they care more about their customers than this, but this was our honest experience. Reliable actually walked away with $1,400 of our hard earned money and left the unit worse than they found it.

Purchased a heat pump from Reliable in 1993. It finally gave up the ghost this spring. Was still running but just not getting the job done but I guess 32 years was a good run. Contacted Brent McNamara with Reliable and he came out and went over what we needed and scheduled the install. Justin, Kevin and Ricky arrived on time and got everything done in just a few hours. They did an excellent job on the install and cleanup. I highly recommend Reliable Heating & Air to keep your home both warm and cool.
