The Chimney Doctor came out to our place and began installation on our wood stove. When he started cutting into the roof for the pipe, he came across some badly wired electrical. He couldn't go any further that night, but made a call to an electrician for us and had it fixed that night. Even though he was booked solid, he took the time to come out early on Saturday morning to finish the work. Stove is in place and ready to be fired up!

They did an excellent job traveling 2 and a half hours to take care of updating the chimney for handling our new Lopi Cape Cod. I would have no reservations about using them to take care of my chimney needs.

They're drivers need to go back to driving school one of them cut me almost caused me to rear end him and then FLIPPED me off as if it were my fault. He needs to be reminded while in his work can he reps the company. I don't think he should be fired but he needs to know you can't drive like that. I'm sure theyre service is excellent but they're driver needs customer and driving skills

David and his staff did a great job taking care of fixing my 26 year old chimney. It needed to be re-lined and required quite a bit of work because of some cracks inside and some water leaks. He also replaced the chimney top with a better one to help keep water out. He was comparable in price to others for the amount of work done . His staff that came were friendly and stayed on task to complete the job. They even contacted me to return and fix a spot he felt needed more attention after viewing what they did. I appreciate him caring enough to come back because I wouldn’t even have known it. Thank you so much ! KM

I would not recommend using The Chimney Doctor for any fireplace-related services. I had a wood fireplace insert installed by them a year ago, and since then I've had nothing but trouble. The rain cap that they installed was the wrong size. Despite the fact that there was a change of ownership at the company, the new owner refused to warranty any of the previous owner's work, leaving me with no options for recourse. I'm extremely disappointed in the lack of accountability from this company and will not be using their services again.

Dave and his team put in a chimney insert for me. They did a great job and there's no way I could have done it myself. No way I'm going up a 40' ladder. They were always prompt and courteous, replying to my emails and questions promptly, and keeping me aware of any delays. I have used them before for chimney cleaning services and they were very good then too, capping off my gas fireplace and inspecting the flue. I don't know how their prices compare with others, but they know what they're doing.

This business is an absolute joke. I scheduled a consulatation/review for a simple chimney cap two weeks in advance. The lady in their office confirmed date and time. I took off work to meet Mr. Ellsworth (owner of Chimney Doctor) and he didn’t show up. The secretary called me 15 minutes prior to the scheduled time and said they would have to re-schedule. It would have been nice for a phone call a day or two ahead of time. They then went on to tell me that is would be another two weeks before Mr. Ellsworth could field measure and quote my chimney cap.

I would highly advise steering away from this company. I truly don’t know how they stay in business.

Chimney Doctor is top shelf service provider and I would highly recommend them. We had a traditional brick woodburning fireplace with elevated hearth and gas logs. For a remodel, we wanted to demo the hearth, lower the firebox to near floor level, modify brick surround, install a new efficient gas insert, repair and seal chimney, add metal crown and cap. I went to four contractors with specs and request for proposal. Chimney Doctor and David were responsive, timely, thorough and accurate with a detailed proposal, worked with me on design, met schedule commitments, professional and friendly, good crews, quality job for a fair price. What more can you ask? Job well done.

The tech that showed up was just about a dollar. He did not camera the inside of my chimney to see if it needed swept because in fact, it didn't. He showed me old pictures of the outside of chimney wen it had cracks before I even owned the property and those cracks where fixed. I know this because the cracks are not visible right now. So I was charged 55$ extra for a chimney sweep that wasn't needed and I can prove it. I will never call chimney doctor again because it is a scam from my experience and will be requesting my money back for the sweep that wasn't needed.

We have had our last fire of the season and it wouldn't have been possible without the repairs made to our fireplace and chimney. We had a chimney fire last year and was hesitant to use it until I had the chimney Doctor do a complete evaluation and repair. They did an amazing job using the technology of a camera inside the chimney to evaluate the problem and complete the repairs. The company performed the work with a professional crew and within the time frame of our agreement. It was well worth the investment for the confidence that it was repaired correctly for the enjoyment and beauty of our natural burning fireplace. again

I had these guys check out my chimney the checkup was $65, the work that they suggested was absolutely ridiculously $6-7k to put a heat shield in and new chimney cap. They were going to charge me $50 to cap my gas line it cost me $1.50, and charge over $1000 for a new chimney cap. Is my chimney perfect no it's not but it's in good condition It needs a little bit of mortar and some updated weather proofing simple stuff no where close to 6k.

I spoke with my neighbors and Chimney Dr Quoted him $10k. Long story short they have priced themselves out of the market. I can't see anyone paying those repair prices when we live in a moderate Mid-south climate.

I called several companies but the Chimney Doctor had the best rates and a real person answered the phone. They had the availability that I needed and the two young men were very professional and it was a great job.

Completely unsatisfied did a whole bait and switch told us one price over the phone and once they came out gave us a different price I would not recommend!!!

I had The Chimney Doctor come out to clean my Chimney. They charged $185 for the service but broke off 2 big pieces of concrete at the bed of the fireplace and then quoted me $800 to fix it. I took pictures before and after they did the chimney cleaning and advised them it was not broke before they came and was told that I needed to get someone else. I hired another chimney sweep to fix what they broke which cost $200. I sent The Chimney Doctor an email advising that I should be reimbursed for the $200 since they caused the issue but they would not respond to my email. THEY ARE A WIPE OFF!!!!!! If I could give them a zero rating I would.bad business

The Chimney Doctor cleaned out my dryer vent which runs about 20 feet to an exterior wall. They noticed that the sheet metal box that connects my dryer to the vent opening had come apart at a seam and was letting lots of lent accumulate behind the washer and dryer. Most dryers use a flexible dryer hose, but we have this box. Before I could ask, they were bending the metal edges around this broken seam to make them reattach and then added a strong silver tape to ensure it stayed sealed. They did this repair and would not charge me for it.

They did this extra service after they did a very clean job of cleaning out the dryer vent. When they were done the inside and outside were cleaner than when they arrived. I think this is important, because I have had others out to clean our dryer vent and they left a mess. It was the first clean job I had seen.

I know price is important and I can report that their price was better than others I called. A human answered the phone and that human actually worked for the company. One company I called was automated to the point I just gave up. Another had an answering service screening their calls. It was nice to talk to a person, get a better price, and then get surprised with better service, and a free repair.
