HVAC reviews in Austin, Texas

Found Atlas at CSIA website. Came out the next day, clearly had experience and training to know what he was doing, and was able to help on an odd issue we had, as well as doing a professional inspection and giving a clear explanation of what he found.

Chris and his crew were very knowledgeable and didn't try to sell me things I didn't need!
-
Chris and Walter came to our home to clean and seal our air ducts. Their professionalism and knowledge was well worth every penny.

Have used this company a few times and will use them again. Great service and price. Left the place as clean as they arrived.

These guys are knowledgeable about chimneys and fireplaces. They were on time and flexible with schedule. I'mean happy to have the piece of mind that my fireplace and chimney will be safe to use when fall and summer hit.
-
I would give Atlas Chimney 10 stars if the option was available. Chris an Kevin were very professional, fair in pricing, and very friendly. I will recommend them to everyone I know.

Wonderful having my 36 year old Earth Stove working again and not having smoke backing into my living room. Very professional. Left everything clean and working like new. EXCELLENT

I was very happy that Atlas Chimney Inc. provides service in Wimberley Texas. Chris Hess inspected the chimney and structure of the fireplace was able to identify the cause of smoke filling the room. I would definitely recommend Atlas Chimney to anyone needing quality service and expertise.

Showed up late for my appointment. Unresponsive communication. Didn’t respond to repeated requests to schedule follow up services, some of which were supposed to be but were not completed at the initial appointment.
-
Honesty. Integrity. Great work ethic. These are the qualities Chris and his crew at Atlas bring to each and every job! Highly recommend!

Chris did an excellent job with my dryer vent. Its working better than ever. The level of service and expert advice is greatly appreciated.

Tried to call and set up an appointment and spoke with Chris. All I said was give me a time to be home so that I can work my schedule around it. After a lot of back and forth and him telling me how bad traffic is in Austin and that he could be here at 3pm but it could be as late as 5pm I told him "so I will plan on being home at 3pm on Monday" he tells me "your not listening, are you". I'm a Little confused as to what I wasn't listing to? Either way I'm going with someone else due to a very bad first impression with this company.

I had an appointment set up for 5pm on Friday. I did not hear from anyone. At 6pm, I called and it went to voice mail. By 7pm, I called again and left a message that I no longer wanted the service and that I was disappointed that I never heard from any one.
I couldn't help but think, if that is the way they do business, what kind of shoddy job would they do? -
I highly recommend Atlas Chimney. Chris is very professional and helpful. He explained what he was doing and answered my questions. The process was very clean and efficient. I will be recommending Atlas Chimney and Chris to my friends, family and neighbors.

We have had our chimney swept and serviced by a couple of other companies. We were looking for a metal cap, and Atlas thoroughly inspected our chimney and noticed a few problems. I am a Texan, so when it gets “cold” I use the fireplace; and safety is paramount. So we had to have our firebox and flue replaced, and added the metal chase cap. The fireplace is stone so they had to remove the back for the new firebox.
We have a dog that loves meeting new friends, and Brian instantly bonded with him. Chris and Brian exceeded our expectations, and in the future we will most definitely be using them. -
Very professional, friendly service. I will never let my chimney go more than a year without cleaning seeing how much can accumulate in the flue. Quick, efficient process and they were diligent to contain the soot that was being knocked free.

Chris was available on short notice, and quick in diagnosing the issue. I felt the price was fair and believe the quality of work was good. I would recommend him to a friend.

I highly recommend Chris Hess and Atlas Chimney. He came to help with our dryer vent, was quickly able to diagnose the problem, was efficient and helpful, answering all our questions. Hope to not need him any time soon but will certainly call him first

I could not be more pleased with the work that Atlas Chimney performed on my fireplace. Not only was he kind enough to come out on a Sunday, but he took the time, after their thorough diagnostic tests, to walk me through the ins and outs of my fireplace. I asked a ton of questions that all received thoughtful answers and not once did I feel like he was in a rush to move on to the next appointment. I am now confident that my fireplace is safe to use and I will not hesitate to call Atlas Chimney when it is time for the next evalauation. If I could give him more than five stars I would!

Chris came out and spent literally 15 minutes at our house and charged $220 to do nothing! Please do not waste your money and call someone that cares. He said there was nothing wrong w the chimney, ran a couple tools up there, didn't clean up and never tried it to see if it worked- he's gone and we are out $220 so "he can pay for his 40k van" --- so disappointing!!!

I almost never post a review (good or bad), but my experience with Chris and Atlas Chimney was so disappointing and frustrating that I feel I must. On January 2 Chris returned my call, and we scheduled a repair for January 10 at 9:00am (his first available day). I texted him a photo of the problem, and he texted back that they could fix it during the appointment--no problem. On January 9 I called Chris to confirm the appointment; he assured me it was on their schedule. My husband and I drove 1.5 hours to arrive at the house at 8:30am to be ready for Chris's arrival. By 10:30 no Chris & no contact. Between 10:30 and 12:00noon I tried to reach Chris multiple times by phone and text--no answer, no reply. At 12:00noon I left a message that we could only wait there until 1:00pm, and we would have to leave if no one showed by then---which we ended up doing. A totally wasted morning and part of the afternoon; 3 hours' of driving; and we still had the problem. I never heard from Chris at all that whole day or evening. This morning (January 11) I received a call from Chris...but he didn't realize it was me who he was calling; he thought he was returning someone else's call. He listened to my frustration; he apologized by saying they had equipment problems yesterday; and he offered to try to make things right. But I told him that the lack of response all day yesterday was inexplicable & inexcusable, and that I had no confidence that the same thing wouldn't happen again, and thus I was going to try to find someone else to do the needed repair. I have no idea about the quality of work he might do, but this awful experience with him and his company was my first, and will be my last.
