I requested dryer vent cleaning. They had listed $89. I called and told them there was a block. The person l talked to said they cover all for $89. However, the service personnel who showed up after checking the vent for 10 mins stated it needed a lot more work and cost $300 as he need to use router to remove the block. I told him my wife had others who had quoted $150-$180 and l would pay him for his diagnosis fees of $50, but he agreed to do it for $180. Then we worked of 10 mins. He didn't show any of the things that he routed out just a video of some sort. No debris of any sort. Really felt like a scam. We were very disappointed by this service call, but we hope the vent is clean.

My condo chimney was inspected and swept by Avi. He is great! He and his team were very professional, polite, and extremely thorough in their inspection of a chimney which hadn’t been used in years. I had no idea what to expect, but throughout Avi’s team visit, they showed photos of the condition and explained what they were doing as they worked. I’m very please with Avi’s work and punctuality. Highly recommended.

The job took a little while, but everything was done carefully and the work area was left clean afterward. Since the service, the house feels a bit fresher and the airflow from the vents seems stronger.

It was time for a chimney clean and Avi did a great job. He told me that the special price was only for up to 6 feet high and I have a 2 story home. He took care of the rest with a bit more of a cost, but I am pleased with the work. He even touched up the seal at the top of the chimney. He is his colleague were clean and respectful. Thanks.

My wood burning fireplace has never vented well since I had my house built. First fire this year, it smoked the house out. Found Greenwood, and gave them a whirl. I’m super pleased! Yes, they said $99 and it became $646. But I was home and here for the entire visit, am well-spoken in wood burning fireplaces, and honestly, expected the higher bill. I knew it would be more than met the eye. The techs were transparent as can be. Showed me everything in-person and with videos and pics. I expected soot everywhere, and that wasn’t the case! Not at all! I would not have been upset if that was what happened, because it’s a given. Not these guys! Massive wasp issue right out of the gate. They were flying down the chimney. I’m terrified and allergic. I gave the team wasp spray, but they just vacuumed them and the nest right up. Sealed all the gaps in the aging wood around the chimney, fixed the flashing and sealed it, used 2000F concrete fix to the cracked base of the fireplace, cleaned the entire flue from top to bottom, and left my living room as if they had never been there. And wasp free! It was much more expensive, but I anticipated some additional expense. They demonstrated the issues, fixed them, and gained my trust, fully. Now I can look forward to hosting on Thanksgiving with a working and safe fireplace. Highly recommend!

Try getting techs that respect your vehicles and brand they represent.

I called 5 times and got redirect. Then found out they close early. So if you live in Texas you are short an hour. Also if you own Carrier A/C there not compatible with the Nest or any other thermostat brand. You can't even use a cheap one. You have to buy carrier brand thermostat which cost $650 bucks. So my sisters thermostat messed up due to multiple renters not taking care of it. Now she has to cough up $650. Why wasn't she warned this pior to installing a Carrier A/C unit??? A heads up would have been nice like hey if you ever need to or want to upgrade its gonna cost you. So what I'm saying you CAN ONLY USE CARRIER BRAND THERMOSTAT.

I bought a house from Toll Brothers which specifies (must be a cheap price because the product is really bad) Carrier Heating & air conditioning units. I thought new heating and air conditioning units were to last about 20 years. Within 6 years of purchase, the 4 ton unit condenser and coils had to be replaced. Then at 9 years, my 3 ton unit had to have the same parts replaced on it. Then at 7 years after replacing the condenser & coils on the 4 ton unit, I had to replace these coils again. Now at year 14, I am having to replace the coils on my 2 ton unit. The total cost of maintaining my Carrier units is nearing $20,000. Carrier products are so bad that I heard a local school district will not allow Carrier products to be used on any new schools. How can Carrier get away with making such a sorry heating & air conditioning unit. If I bought another Toll Brothers house (which I will not), I would require them to replace the entire Carrier systems.

Whatever cost you think you'll spend getting a Carrier A/C unit, go ahead and add a $900 hidden fee to that.

That's how much replacing an entire evaporator coil costs, when theirs fails just 2 years after installation, causing flooding in your attic and water damage to your ceiling.

That $900 will not cover the cost to repair the water damage, of course. No, you're on your own for that because Carrier doesn't like to guarantee the craftsmanship of their products.

Go with Carrier at your own risk.

Every time I call a phone number for this company it goes to spectrum and they want to sell me internet.

I really like this Austin, TX, company. I've had two different technicians out to fix two separate problems, Daniel and Kyril. Both were quick and fixed what was needed. A couple of weeks ago, Daniel was able to connect my new ice maker, in a few minutes, so it would make ice. Kyril came today to reattach my dryer vent tubing which had come loose from the vent to outside. It was a very tight area with both washer and dryer and he had to pull the washer out to get in back of the dryer. He did the work quickly, attached it tightly with a clamp (which it had not had before), pushed the washer back in place neatly, all in about 30 minutes. Also both arrived on time! I would be happy to have either Kyril or Daniel repair anything in my home because both seem very knowledgeable..
And for both projects, the charges were very reasonable. I will definitely be using Tech Service First the next time I have a problem--great Technicians!

Had a dryer start to go haywire and tenants that needed a fix. Scheduling was easy and very informative, and most importantly had quick turnaround. They asked for the brand to make sure they brought the correct parts depending on diagnosis.

Amal N was very communicative with me and my tenants and fixed the control board issue very quickly. He took me through the pertinent info, and let know of the warranty associated with the work. Great experience all around

Dmitre repaired my refrigerator because water had began leaking out onto the floor frequently. He did a great job pinpointing exactly what was wrong, fixing it, & then checking the lines in the back of the frig as well. He was very thorough & knowledgeable about my brand & model of refrigerator.

The technician was professional, courteous, fast, and easy to work with. Fast and reasonable service.
