Green Collar Operations did an excellent job fixing up our attic insulation. Reasonable pricing, great service. Rob, the owner, showed up and did great work. Will definitely use them again in the future!

We have a two story house built in 1983 that gets very hot during the summer. We called Green Collar Operations because of their strong online reviews.

We received a quote from Bill, who was very knowledgable, professional and friendly. The quote appointment took about 30 minutes. In general, the quote process is low pressure... we waited nearly 7 months before moving forward with the work and we didn't get any spam emails or calls inbetween.

Once we decided to move forward (attic insulation, the cool aide package, etc.) the team made it out to our house the very next week. This was awesome.The crew arrived on time and thoroughly weather-proofed our home. When it was our baby's nap time, the crew went out of their way to work silently, which was even more awesome.

It took the team 2-3 hours to complete the work and we could tell that evening that our upstairs was much cooler than it had been before. Rob, Green Collar's owner, then came out two weeks later to inspect the work. Rob stayed an extra 20-30 minutes to help us problem solve our noisy air conditioner, and even offered to personally bring the needed part to our house the next day.

My wife and I were incredibly pleased with the work of Green Collar Operations. If you need help, call these guys. Not only do they do good work, but they're also nice, professional cool dudes.

I saw the work on my neighbor's house and had work done on mine. The service was excellent- fast, efficient, good cleanup. I had insulation put into my attic. Since then I have noticed a real difference in ease of maintaining house temperatures- stays warmer in winter, cooler in summer. Indeed, with the AC off, the house stays about 10 degrees cooler than outside in summer. My bills have reflected the better insulation. This seems to be an honest, well-organized, friendly small business that I heartily recommend to others.

Had need for ducts replaced and insulation as well. They did a great job. We also added solar exhausts. Pricing was reasonable. communications was great. crew was efficient and quick. great clean up. They did the paper work for rebates with the city. I highly recommend them.

Green Collar Operations came to assess an issue with our above garage room that was much too hot in summer and cold in winter. They advised beefing up the insulation in the attic and upgrading some of the ductwork. The diagnostic was 100% right, the temperature in this room is now on par with the rest of the house. Another well-rated local company had blamed the fiberglass insulation in the garage ceiling and attic which they deemed worthless - quoting 10 times the price to replace with foam insulation not including fixing holes in the plasterboards... so I am indeed glad I asked for a second opinion from Green collar. The team was very nice, punctual, left no mess (wearing shoe protection) and the whole process was very straight forward and the price was very low considering it solved this issue for us. Highly recommended.

I had a great experience with Green Collar. They helped me reduce indoor humidity by consolidating my two HVAC units into one. The initial visits involved proper planning and design for the duct work replacement. There may be some room for improvement on the testing that they do after the work is done, which in my case had to be done twice. All in all I am happy with the result and would highly recommend Green Collar for any duct work related project.

I called Green Collar Operations based on their reviews and this company does not disappoint! They are very professional, provide exceptional customer service, are detailed oriented, extremely knowledgeable, and performed a great job. I had a new HVAC system put in and because I did not have a smooth, seamless experience I decided to give my business to Green Collar for duct work and add insulation. Bill Cook came to my house and conducted a full inspection. What an exemplary employee to represent the company - professional, thorough & very knowledgeable; took the time to check the work that had been done by the HVAC company and provided recommendations they had overlooked. He calmly answered all my questions, and created 2 quotes with budget options, one that included how to obtain energy rebates from the city. Bill worked it all out and help me fit in what I needed within my budget. He was prompt and returned my calls - very customer centric. Jacob & Troy came to install the insulation, performed the duct work, & replaced vents. They were respectful, meticulous and did an excellent job - they ensured everything was cleaned up and took pictures to send to the main office as part of the quality check process. Here's where the company stands out from all others: the owner of the company comes out to perform a quality inspection. That's speaks volumes and exemplifies the importance of not only exceptional customer centric practices but someone who operates with integrity, stands by the work, and leads by example. I highly recommend them.

The Green Collar team installed new insulation and sealed gaps in my attic ducts. They were honest about what needed to be done and did not oversell or overcharge. I’m very happy with the results and highly recommend them.

I purchased my first home last March (which was built in 1986), and I could tell right away that money was flying out the door with my energy bill.

My neighbor recommended Green Collar to come out and take a look, and they put together a thorough plan that was affordable to help make my home more efficient and comfortable.

They came out yesterday to do the work and I was blown away by their service and customer service. Two guys worked on my home, and one of them was the owner, Rob. Pretty refreshing to see the actual owner of the business getting out there, interacting with his clients and getting his hands dirty!

Not only was Green Collar affordable, but they also coordinate with The City of Austin for inspections and permits to ensure everything is done correctly and to ensure that I receive every rebate possible.

I HIGHLY recommend Green Collar to anyone who is looking to save money and also have a home that is much more comfortable during the hot summer days of Austin!

We hired Green Collar Operations to help ensure that our house was operating as efficiently as possible in terms of HVAC. After performing a free audit, the recommended sealing ducts and can lights, upgrading some vents, and adding insulation. We had a number of hiccups on our end, including a need to pause the project when they encountered evidence of raccoon activity in our attic. The team was extremely communicative, accommodating, professional, and friendly. I recommend them without reservation. Thank you!

After all these years I'm still cleaning up from using Green Collar. Yesterday I removed all the old calk from the last window they worked on.

I hired Green Collar via a sub contractor AirCo (who installed a new AC system) BTW, this reputable AC company no longer works with Green Collar.

1. Long story short, one of the guys dropped a bucket of sealing mastic on our carpet. They sent a guy out to clean it, it didn't work. They mailed out a $150 check but now the carpet I have in about 1,000SF needs to be replaced.

2. The doors were not sealed properly, I can still feel the air flowing - even after inviting them back to fix the problem.

3. The cheap clear caulk they used around the inside windows has fully dried and looks horrible. It was applied too wide and thin, and now becomes a permanent dust collector.

4. When the performance "test" was completed, it wasn't clear to me that anything was really being tested. I might be wrong here but I would think a before and after test would have meaning.

All in all a horrible experience, I really liked the owner but bottom line, they hire kids who don't care about your house, thus a bad company to work with. They have a great website, Green Collar is a very marketing savvy group but don't get fooled into allowing them into your house. Additionally, I wouldn't put it past them to "stack" their own reviews..

We needed an overhaul of our ductwork. Green Collar took out all the old ducts, rebuilt the plenum, installed new ducts as well as jumpers to all of the bedrooms, they tuned and balanced the system, weatherproofed the whole house, and then blew in a bunch of new insulation. Our AC has been running less during the hottest month of the year and we couldn't be happier.

We were really impressed with their communication, the workers were wonderful, they did great work, and didn't leave a mess when they were done. Hopefully, we won't need any more HVAC work for a long time, but if and when we do, we will definitely be calling Green Collar again.

We got bids from three local insulation and weatherization companies, and I was impressed with the comprehensive nature of Green Collar's proposal. It was itemized so that we could prioritize and chose, if we had wanted to do that.All the recommendations were clearly explained and questions answered. The actual installation was on-time, quick, and easy. Everything was done in a professional manner. We felt that we got great value and outstanding service. I would gladly recommend Green Collar to anyone looking for insulation and weatherization services.

Contacted Green Collar Operations and immediately received a phone call back for an in house inspection and assessment. Adam Eastberg was prompt, called in advance of his arrival and listened to my concerns about several of the trouble spots we had along with areas of the house we were losing temperature. Also had them review our AC distribution flow and vents, along with the vent plates throughout the house.

Adam was kind enough to break out all elements of the job to fit our budget and explain what work needed to be done, materials used and time/labor. He even drew out our current vent and distribution flow and explained what the new flow would look like to better serve our house. Green Collar was quick to get the work scheduled, showed up on time and promptly completed the work on our house. Upon completion the business owner came to our house to review the work to ensure it was done to the highest standard. Was very impressed by the quality of work, the competency of the explanation.
This group was a pleasure to work with and I only wish that more contractors operated the way this team does.
Air Distribution Flow, Insulation, Crawl Space covers - call this team and give them a five star. I've already seen a tremendous difference in our heating and cooling costs and only wish I'd called them sooner

A friend recommended this vendor and I am thoroughly happy with their work quality and professionalism. Everyone, from the admin staff, to the owner, to the fellows who actually did the work, were respectful, intelligent, and extremely generous with their time, to explain things and to make sure I was satisfied, which I was. They made the process of working with the COA very easy. A+ experience.

I had the Green Collar team replace all of my ducts, diffusers, plenums, insulate my attic and seal all doors and sweeps. This team is professional & efficient, they were in and out in two days. They worked super clean and were conscious of the environment around them. I was informed of all steps ahead of time and they were super organized. This is a small business with a family like structure, most of the team has been there many years and that's what you wanna see. The job was completed in late September and I noticed immediate results, in the hottest of days my AC would cool faster and cycle less. During that last two freezing weather events the heater cycles less and maintains its temp. Green Collar filed all the rebate paper work for us and got us our rebates from the city quite quickly.

Bill was super helpful in helping me understand how our AC worked and why our home wasn't cooling/heating the way we wanted. Also, as a female doing home projects I really appreciated the level of respect I was treated with as well as never feeling talked down to or treated differently than if they were talking to my husband. Other than the service and communication being great, the prices were so much more reasonable and affordable than any other quote we got from other companies. They did a great job on our duct work and would highly recommend!!!

I spoke to a few contractors to help with my duct work/attic insulation to receive the Austin Energy rebate and GCO was my top pick. The whole team including Rob, Cord and Gene were great to work with. They handled all the work with the city to ensure I would get the rebate which made things super easy. The work itself was done professionally and extremely clean. I would recommend them to anyone looking to take advantage of energy rebates.

I'm on vacation but one of our rentals units had their AC go out and was pleasantly surprised on how quickly and efficiently they came out to take care of our AC problem. These guys will be my go to air conditioning repair company in the future for all my ac repair needs.
