Very thorough and transparent. Will definitely call them again. The blower door test they did was super interesting. I recommend to anyone who cares about air leaks in your house.

I waited many months before the proof was available. Now it is. It's the dog days of summer. Normally the electric bill would be in the $400s. Just arrived. $277. Furthermore, the house is often too cool and I have to override the thermostat.

I can't give 100% credit. I also had to replace the main pool pump and sprung for the variable speed unit. Surely, keeping cool is the larger part of the equation.

Bill, with Green Collar Operations, is amazing. After his thorough inspection, he provided me with a list of any and all options. Some of these I could even do myself! Then, he showed me all the rebates the city would provide, which was a very nice perk.

If you have an AC that isn't doing what you want, call Bill.

The best money saver I've run across ever.

I'm very happy that I wasn't sold things I didn't need. The auditor came out and we crawled around the attic to check the insulation and duct work. He didn't try to nickle and dime me or convince me I needed something I didn't. They installed a solar fan and the installation looks professional. I recommend getting a consultation from this company.

I hired Green Collar via a sub contractor AirCo (who installed a new AC system - loved AirCO btw)

1. Long story short, one of the guys dropped a bucket of sealing mastic on our carpet. They sent a guy out to clean it, it didn't work. They mailed me $150 check but now the carpet I have in about 1,000SF needs to be replaced.

2. The doors were not sealed properly, I can still feel the air flowing

3. The cheap clear caulk they used around the inside windows has fully dried and looks horrible. It was applied too wide and thin, and now becomes a permanent dust collector.

4. When a performance "test" was completed, it wasn't clear to me that anything was really being tested. I might be wrong here but I would think a before and after test would have meaning.

All in all a horrible experience, I really liked the owner but bottom line, a bad company to work with. They have a great website but don't get fooled. Also, the owner is very marketing savvy, thus I wouldn't put it past him to stack his own reviews.

We can't say enough about the quality of the workmanship, materials and the professionalism of the workers. Rob, the owner, came by several time for quality control issues and to ensure that we were happy.

The additional blown in insulation will reap rewards for years to come. We are already telling the difference in less than a week in the comfort of our home and the acoustics. Three thumbs up for this operation with only two thumbs.

Job went very smoothly. They did what they said they would do and cleaned up after themselves. I am very happy I used them I feel confident my attic space is well insulated. I can feel the difference and the AC doesn't cycle on as frequently.

GCO performed an energy efficiency audit of our 100-year-old home. They made practical, cost-effective recommendations and didn't try to sell us anything we didn't need. We appreciate their friendly, honest service, and would hire them again.

These folks were easy to work with. I have little to no experience hiring people to do this kind of work. I had a raccoon ravage the entire attic, ruining the insulation and ductwork. Green collar showed up when they said they would, were very patient with my million questions, and helped me with paperwork I needed for my insurance company. I would recommend these for folks in a heartbeat.

Prices are fair and the salesmen are no pressure. I was expecting to get pushed into buying more than I needed, but Adam was so easy to deal with.

The crew was running a little late but called to tell me and once here they busted their backsides to get everything done quickly and well.

I'm very picky about who works on my house after some bad experiences and I watch contractors like a hawk. I couldn't have asked for a better experience.

*****The day of, I caught the guys that blew the insulation on camera looking through my fridge for food to eat, and just walking around my house for no reason. I keep finding proof they used my personal tools to finish the job. They used my shop vac to clean up and didn’t empty it (which I discovered months later) and they dug through my tool box to use my drill and bits.

These guys were AWESOME and my house is ten times more comfortable. They answered all of my detailed questions and helped me pick the latest technology for the system. The did not try to oversell. Their front office made the loan process easy. I did almost nothing. They left the house immaculately clean. I'd hire them again!

I love Green Collar! I've used the to insulate several properties, and I chose them to replace the air conditioner in my home when it went out. Green Collar is "no muss, no fuss." They know the City's energy efficiency rebate system inside and out. They schedule the "before" and "after" inspections with the City, and if there's any problem, they will make it right. I trust them completely.

I have saved sooooo much money from doing just half of what these guys recommended in their audit. I wish I had done it years ago. The 2 attached pics are my usage from 2017-2018 (before audit work) and 2018-2019 (audit work done in January). You can see how drastically the summer usage dropped. We did not even do insulation or crack sealing - it was all rerouting ducts, adding intakes, relocating the thermostat and balancing airflow. I thought it would take years for this to pay for itself, which would be fine, but it will pay for itself very quickly. And my home is much more comfortable - it used to be freezing downstairs and sweltering upstairs. The audit was free, no pressure to do more than we could afford, and they gave honest feedback about what the issues were. I'm so happy I called them.

We just had Green Collar put in new duct-work and insulation. What a great company to work with! They got the job done and even took care of minor cracks in the ceiling that occurred during the project. The best is that the owner comes out and inspects the project once it's done.

From Alison to Rob to Dayson to Matt, I am really happy with this team! The home where services were rendered was originally built in the 70's(and probably not touched up since then) and they came out to bring our attic to R-44. Sealed all duct connections in the attic with mastic (was not done from previous/different HVAC installation) and replaced batting on a knee-wall. They are super punctual, and timely. I really enjoyed working with them and looking forward to seeing the savings on my energy bill for months to come.

Oh and they are coming by within the next week to perform Quality Control. Love the passion and attention to detail. Now when I look out in my attic it is a lot brighter and all you see is sea of white. Terrific company to work with!

We had them do an energy audit and then make all the indicated improvements in our insulation and air leakage issues. Now we have noticed that the house stayed warmer this winter with less furnace heating, Also on the few warm days lately we have noticed that the neighbors on both sides have been running their AC units whereas we have not need to turn our AC on. Great results from a very competent and friendly company and people!

Bill and team were quick to respond as well as schedule the appointment. They worked through our needs and let us know the work they could do as well as potential Austin rebates. When they did the work they were very professional and courteous. They had several follow ups to make sure everything was done properly and we passed all inspections.
