HVAC reviews in Austin, Texas

The part was more expensive than online, but I walked right into the store and bought HSI I was looking for. No waiting, and I compared the parts.
-
This place has great customer service, and is pretty fast.
The parking can be bad at times. -
Only selling to licensed contractors, that's the same ridiculous policy adopted by hair product places... no real reason to do it, I guess they don't like to sell as much as they can...
-
I have only done business with them once but they were very helpful. They had the bearings that I needed and couldn't get anywhere else. Thank you Johnstone Supply!
-
I just dropped by only to be told they have stopped serving retail over a year now. Friendly guys will direct you to affiliated retail store on N. Lamar who can help general public. I hope this helps some people.
-
I thank these guys for helping me grow my business, and being as knowledgeable as they are on the front counter. When we call in for parts or to place orders these are the guys to go to.Great team and a solid structure.A good company starts with it's workers!

Not a good customer experience.
Was there for a motor to buy in scorching summer
But they refuse to sell an electrical item.
Why a contractor license for electric item? -
I went to buy a capacitor. On Amazon they run about $12-15. As a retail customer they marked it up an extra $100 +, total of $129.99. That is robbery. Be aware.

Extremely rude parts counter. I called to verify they had my parts in stock and the employee "assisting" me could not have been more condescending and rude. I was going to spend no less than $400.00 at your store this afternoon. You just lost a future customer. Taking my money elswhere.
-
Open on Saturday and sells parts to the general public.
The quality made-in-usa Amrad capacitor I got from them cost about $55, compared to about $43 direct from Amrad (including 2-day shipping). To me, that's reasonable, considering I was able to get it right now and on a Saturday. -
They are friendly but incompetent. I ask them to email me quotes of equipment for my boss to approve before buying. They always take down my information and say they will send it out in a hour or so but never do. Its like do you want my money at all. Am trying to spend thousand of dollars at your place and you cant even email me a Quot. I would not use them other than my employer is a tax free account with them, because we are part of a state agency.

This is the best hvac supply house in Austin. I love doing business here. Excellent employees. Ben is the man. Pat should buy him a lunch. Pat is awesome! Rad is very a great customer service oriented guy. Chris is very helpful. Great staff. I will continue to do business here!

I received great customer service from James McClelland at Johnstone Supply. He helped me find the right parts I needed and helped me save money by replacing only what I needed to. He took the time to make sure I understood the return policy so there would be no surprises if I had issues with the parts. He went through the connections I needed which helped a lot when I got home and took everything apart. All of the replacement parts worked perfectly and we were back up and running within hours instead of waiting on a service appointment and a parts run. This helped me save hundreds of dollars. I definitely recommend Johnstone Supply Company.
-
They definitely stick it to you if you're the general public. Charged me $85 for a part I could have bought off of amazon and delivered same day for $37. This is the second time this has happened. A couple of years ago they charged me $46 for the same part I could have purchased on amazon for $15 with free shipping. I hate feeling like I've been ripped off. And they have done it to me twice.

White glove service in action. The staff are always warm and friendly. They are very informative and helpful when I call and have questions about certain products. Best whole sale hvac/refrigeration company in central Texas

I've always had good service from these guys, I go there when they don't have a line of people to attend. I have questions and they have good answers, helpful, courteous. You do have to understand, they do business to the public, but can only sell at retail price. If your a/c needs a part and you can't wait for 3-4 days from amazon, this is your place.

Pretty disappointed with my experience at this location I'm a local DIY and call to this location early in the morning and asked if they were open to the public and they assured me that they could sell me duct work but other items you definitely would have to be licensed for coils or something like that more advanced. I came to the Austin location trying to get some duct board and the gentleman walk me through the warehouse show me the duct board but also said I could go to the Pflugerville location since I was from Round Rock and they would be able to cut it for me I called before I came to the Pflugerville location I spoke to Jason I asked him what I may need to know if anything I have the dimensions and everything he instructed me as long as I got there before 5:00 it was 3:50 at the time that I would be glad to help me out. As soon as I came into the office the gentleman said he wasn't sure if he could help me out since I was a homeowner and another gentleman I'm assuming was the manager overheard him and told me that the other location shouldn't have told me they were open to the public and they were contractor only pretty disappointed to be bounced around to finally be told that when that was my first question at the metric location over the phone when I had called earlier in the morning and especially since I called to the Pflugerville location at 3:50 just prior to going there to finally be turned away disappointed experience they should have sold me my duct work for my trouble and their error. I was excited to come here after reading all the reviews on how helpful this place was I'll make sure to get my contractor's license and never come to this place. Lost customer for life.

Responded quickly and took care of my AC issue.
-
Mark, the tech was on time, checked my hvac, and said- all good. Didn't try to sell me a whole new system!! Very professional and honest.
I would recommend Legacy A.C. and have. -
Legacy AC is owned by Brandon Faught. We have used the Faught Family for decades and are so glad Brandon started Legacy AC. We now have a truly local family owned AC company we can trust again! I highly recommend them!

Legacy did an outstanding job of replacing my HVAC system, all duct work and registers. Their employees were very knowledgeable, professional and honest, providing good advice when I asked questions and appropriately sizing the HVAC unit. They did a great job of cleaning up after changing out all the ductwork. When they were done, I had one room where the airflow was not totally what I had hoped for and they responded quickly and resolved my issues. I highly recommend this company for replacement as well as annual maintenance. Their staff seems to be much more knowledgeable than some of the other larger businesses!
