WOW....how disappointing!!!!We have been with this company for years and even signed up for a yearly service contract.
Not sure what has happened to them but firstly, I never got the reminder call to book the scheduled service and when I called to make an appointment, I had to wait about 3 weeks to get one.
Finally, the day came so I took the day off work. I waited and waited. Around 2:00 pm I called the office to be told "yes you are still on the schedule" So, I waited and waited.....at 8:00 pm that night, when it was getting dark, I got a young lady standing on my door step with her bag. I answered the door and said "you have to be kidding" to be told "It wasn't my fault" !!!!!! Yes, I felt sorry for her but for goodness sakes, how unprofessional can you get?????? How can you service something in the dark???? And, why would anyone want a technician to come to the their home at that time. I immediately canceled the contract and will never, ever use this company again. Too bad that nothing ever stays the same.Official response from representative 07.09.2026 12:46We apologize for the scheduling failure and late arrival. This falls short of our standards. Please call us at (512) 200-7614 to make this right. -
I had an appointment for today that was booked a month and a half ago. The time window they provided was 8 AM to 12 PM. It is currently 1:15 PM and no one has arrived. I called Stan's, got bounced around to a second call taker, who said they needed to transfer me to a third person to handle their particular issue of not showing up today. You can't run a business this way. People take their time off of work expecting that you are going to show up when you say you're going to show up... So now I am going to have to find another day to take off of work just to get my AC serviced. Not a single person from Stan's called or texted me to let me know of any delays. How are you guys going to make this right?
Official response from representative 07.09.2026 12:44We apologize for missing your appointment and the lack of communication. Please call us at (512) 200-7614 so we can make this right. -
Not impressed at all.
-Took literally 10 minutes on the phone just to book a quick appointment, as the woman that answered the phone took her sweet time entering all of my info and making me repeat it over and over again.
-Was given a 12 hour window (8am-8pm) of when the tech would arrive the next day, which was frustrating, but was told to call in the morning to get an ETA.
-Called in the morning and nobody was able to give me an ETA. Told me they'd call me back shortly.
-I never heard back, leading me to have to call again 4 hours later
-When it got to be too late in the day, I called to cancel - receiving their AI bot answering machine. The bot made me repeat all of my information just to cancel, and then ended up transferring me to a live person who asked for the exact same info!
-After the appointment was cancelled, I still got a call an hour later from the tech saying he was on his way.
Stan's has a lot of work to do to provide decent customer service. Take your business elsewhere.Official response from representative 02.09.2026 16:14We apologize for the frustrating booking process, long wait, and communication failures. I am so glad we called Lady Bird Air. Omer came and did a stellar job. What we thought was only going to be a cleaning turned out to be a much bigger job that desperately needed to be done. Omer worked quickly, efficiently, and thoroughly. I cannot recommend this company highly enough.
Official response from representative 01.09.2026 18:28So glad you gave us a call, and even more glad we could help once it turned out to be a bigger job than expected. We’ll make sure your kind words about the quick, efficient, thorough work get shared with our team. It means the world to us. Thank you so much! -
Stan's is more than happy to take your money for a new subpar ac but when it comes to standing behind the sale and installation work they miserably fail. The ac tech who installed my ac was so lame they couldn't even tighten a hose clamp which caused the system to leak and eventually flood the house. This leak could not be detected by the switch that's supposed to cut off the system bc water leaked out on the floor first. Thanks Stan for your Unreliable service, followed by not responding to multiple phone calls asking for help with this mess. Oh and yes, leaving me to absorb the damage cost of replacing flooring and paying movers . Shame on your pathetic and nonexistent customer service. Oh and I'm telling this to anyone I know thinking about using your ethically bankrupt company.
Official response from representative 02.09.2026 16:15We are concerned to hear about your experience. Please contact us at (512) 200-7614 so we can address the installation issues and damages immediately. -
Extremely disappointed!
We called Radiant Plumbing & Air Conditioning when our AC stopped cooling. By the time the technician arrived, the unit had started working again, but we wanted it professionally checked. We were told we needed an "immediate repair" costing $2,467 to replace the condenser fan motor/components and add refrigerant and that even after spending $2,467, it probably wouldn't make it through the summer. We were strongly encouraged to replace the entire system.
The next morning, Radiant sent a sales representative to our home, and we received a quote for $22,252 for a new AC system. We were made to feel that our existing system was essentially on its last legs and might not even make it another day.
Because we have a home warranty, we decided to get a second opinion. I intentionally did not tell the warranty technician what Radiant had diagnosed because I wanted an unbiased assessment. He inspected the outside unit and showed me that the fan was spinning backward because of a bad capacitor. He replaced the capacitor, checked the unit in the attic, and told us everything checked out and there was nothing wrong with the system that required replacement. Our AC continued working Thursday night, all day Friday, Saturday and beyond.
I am extremely disappointed with Radiant. We paid for a service call because we wanted an honest diagnosis, but the experience felt much more like a sales opportunity for a $22,000 system than an attempt to find and fix the actual problem. I'm thankful we got a second opinion before spending thousands of dollars unnecessarily. I would absolutely not recommend Radiant and will be reporting this experience. Get a second opinion before agreeing to expensive repairs or a new system. -
I am leaving this review only after exhausting all direct channels with management over the past four months to get basic installation issues and documentation resolved. In May 2026, I hired Stan's for a complete HVAC system replacement totaling over $12,000. Within the first three months of operation, the brand-new system suffered two complete shutdowns due to installation defects:
May 22: The system completely powered down due to loose wiring at the thermostat.
July 25: The system failed again in peak summer heat. A technician discovered loose high-voltage wiring at the disconnect box that caused the wire to overheat, requiring the wire to be cut back, a shorted contactor to be replaced, and refrigerant to be adjusted.
While technicians responded to the emergency calls, the follow-through and quality control have been exhausting. The post-installation quality inspection failed to catch these wiring hazards. When official service reports were generated, critical details were omitted, photos of the outdoor unit were copied into unrelated checklist fields, and technician summaries were left completely blank. Management acknowledged in writing that operating refrigerant pressures were missing after the July repair and promised a technician would return to complete proper diagnostic testing, but no one was ever dispatched. Written requests for official labor warranty paperwork on company letterhead were also left unfulfilled.
When you invest in a premium system, you expect dependable workmanship, thorough documentation, and reliable follow-through. Instead, this has dragged on for months with unresolved safety and technical oversights. I would strongly suggest looking elsewhere for a major replacement.Official response from representative 02.09.2026 20:40Thank you for your feedback. If this issue is still unresolved, please contact our office directly so we can assist. We appreciate the opportunity to help. -
Just used Fireman Dryerman for the first time (my appliance guy recommended them.) First, I love the concept. I immediately felt more comfortable having a male walk into my house. From the time I contacted them til the job was finished was a couple of days. He did a great job and I highly recommend this company to anyone - now I can't even touch my clothes coming out of the dryer now that it's cleaned out and is now drying amazingly well - had not realized it had gotten so bad and that was the culprit!!
Official response from representative 27.08.2026 14:32Hi Lynne, Thank you so much for taking the time to share your wonderful feedback! We’re thrilled to hear that you had a great experience with us. This a great service to have done! Just had my a/c ducts, a/c unit and dryer vent and dryer cleaned by this company. Dan and his helper did a marvelous job! Sparkling! House smells wonderful! They cleaned everything up after too. The price was very good and fair! Definitely recommend!
Official response from representative 27.08.2026 17:21Thank you so much for the wonderful review! We’re thrilled to hear that Dan and his helper did such a great job cleaning your A/C system, ductwork, dryer, and dryer vent. Knowing that you noticed the difference in cleanliness and even how fresh your home smells means a lot to our team. We truly appreciate your trust in Duct X and your recommendation. We look forward to helping you again in the future! -
My two experiences with AAA have been worthy of every bit of the five start ratings I have given them.
In August, 2026, with the temperatures in the 100s, my Carrier had a coolant leak that made the unit unusable. AAA sent out Sonny to evaluate the problem. Sonny deserves every cent they pay him for both expertise and customer service. On that Thursday we were told that it would be the following Tuesday before they could get a coil and crew together. While we were debating what to do, Sonny told us that the office people had found a crew and coil and that they could do the work the next day, Friday. Jason, the company owner, had apparently become involved and had also come up with a temporary fix for the AC that would allow us to stay overnight at our house with the AC working. The repair crew headed by Eliezer arrived right on time on Friday, and they were done by noon. Again, I was greatly impressed by the AAA team.
Sometimes things work out. Sometimes the right vendor makes the extra effort to insure that things work out. I am sure that there are many good AC vendors around. However, for my money, Alamo Austin is at the top of the list.
tbOfficial response from representative 29.02.2024 14:18Wow, Tom! We are incredibly appreciative of thoughtful customers such as yourself and truly enjoyed working with you on the installation. We hope you are satisfied for many years to come and please do not hesitate to give us a call should the need arise! -
Green Air Duct Cleaning Austin did an incredible job cleaning out our return ducts and vents! Scheduling was smooth, and the tech arrived right on time, courteous, professional, and thorough. They took care to keep everything clean while working and explained what they were doing along the way. You can instantly feel and smell the difference in airflow and air quality. Highly recommend them if you want quality work and great service!

Michael M was absolutely outstanding! He was knowledgeable, professional, and kept me informed throughout the entire service call. He took the time to explain the problem in detail, what was needed to fix it, and how long the repair would take. I always knew what was happening and what to expect.
What really stood out was Michael's genuine focus on customer service. He was friendly, personable, and clearly cared about keeping my family comfortable. While the repair was being completed, he even brought in portable units to help keep us cool.
Michael did exactly what he said he would do and completed the work when he said it would be done. His communication, professionalism, technical knowledge, and commitment to his customers were exceptional.
Great technician and an excellent representative of the company! I highly recommend this company for any HVAC service needs. -
I really hate to say it, but my experience with this company was extremely disappointing and, honestly, borderline felt like a scam.
Their customer service was great, but the technician they sent out spent maybe five minutes looking at my AC system before telling me that the entire system was gone and needed to be replaced. I was told there was nothing they could do and that replacing the system would cost somewhere around $15,000-$20,000. They didn't even check the refrigerant level before making that recommendation.
I decided to get a second opinion from another HVAC company. They actually took the time to properly inspect the system and found that the issue was simply low refrigerant. After spending about $800, my AC is working like new.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend this company. It really felt like the technician was looking for a reason to sell me a completely new AC system rather than properly diagnosing and repairing the problem. I strongly recommend getting a second opinion before agreeing to an expensive replacement. -
I had some water leaking out under the closet in my garage where my furnace and hot water heater were. I got 5 or 6 companies to come by and look at it.
As it turns out, I had the original HVAC system that came with this house, which was 28 years old. Our single story 3BR/2BA house had two air returns right in the middle of the house and it was the one feature I didn't love about this house because of how loud it was. You could hear it go on in any room of the house and especially in the living room when watching TV. I have decent surround sound and the noisy system was quite annoying.
Price came over the next day and after I got prices from a couple of other places I decided to go with Stan's. They had a good price and I needed the work done quickly, as not having A/C in the summer isn't fun. I gave them the job on Thursday afternoon.
Friday morning two teams of two came. They took out my old system (which was working) and removed my hot water heater. Then they replaced the shelf both were on and determined the water was coming from a slab leak (the second we've had in our house over 15 years).
I decided to go with the most expensive system, a variable speed system from Carrier. They assured me it would be a lot quieter than my previous system. That was very important as we're planning to stay in this house forever or until we die, whichever comes first.
Roger and Ruben installed the new system. Aaron and Armando installed a new hot water heater (my old one was 11 years old and it didn't make sense to put it back in). By 2 or 3 in the afternoon I had hot water and A/C. The slab leak was capped off and I didn't have hot water to my kitchen sink for the moment.
I could not believe the difference. I had had no idea such quiet systems were available, I'd have replaced it years earlier if I knew.
On Monday Aaron and Hugo came back. They lined the inside of the crawl space under the shelf with foil coated foam and that quieted the returns even more. They ran a new hot water line into my attic and down through my pantry wall to the sink.
My wife and I are THRILLED with this new system. The two people I've showed it to (including a neighbor) were also astounded at how quiet the system is. It's like we're living in a totally different house. Instead of coming on at 100% and blowing really hard, this system runs at a lower pace more regularly. It also keeps the temperature much more consistent throughout the house.
Stan's will be doing all of our HVAC maintenance and plumbing as well. We're very happy clients!Official response from representative 02.09.2026 20:40Thank you! We appreciate the review. -
Wouldn't be able to tell you anything about their technical ability. Scheduled them to come out and they just didn't show up. Absolutely zero communication. They told me they'd text at 9am with my maintenance window, but they never did. I had to call them and ask what was going on, and they said that the tech wouldn't be able to come and then tried to reschedule a couple days out. Garbage. How are you not going to let your customer know that you won't be able to provide service? Terrible customer service, won't use this company again.

Andrew S. Came out and was thorough and did a great job explaining issues with our HVAC. Radiant has only done us right so far!
Official response from representative 16.08.2026 15:44Hi, Matt. Thank you so much for leaving us a stellar review! -
I needed someone to help me quickly resolve a condensation issue that was detected by our buyer's inspection. McCullough was able to come out the same morning and do an inspection. My technician Ryan Lake was able to quickly find an unsealed joint between the duct and drywall at the moist register and sealed it for me. He completed this service and thoroughly inspected my HVAC equipment (per my request) while tidying and cleaning behind himself everywhere he went. I paid less than $150 for the entire service. I told him I was happy to pay more for the value of service I received but he politely declined. Ryan could not have been more professional and polite. A massive thank you to McCullough and Ryan!

Overall Alamo was responsive, good service, and fixed the issue. They showed up within 15 minutes of when they said, which is hard to find these days.
I basically knew what the issue was, (a bad capacitor), but they did their due diligence and checked both the indoor and outdoor unit anyway to make sure nothing else was going on.
They were able to swap out the capacitor and were in and out of the visit in less than an hour.
The only negative I'd cite is the price. Every business needs to make money which is great, but I found their pricing to be higher than most, so keep that in mind as you are looking at options.
The capacitor I had changed was ~80$ part and they charged $500 to swap it, so essentially 400/hour for labor. I also had them quote me replacement for a $200 fan and they quoted $950, so you get the idea.
If you are looking for someone competent who can do the job right I think Alamo is solid. If you are more cost conscious and don't mind shopping around you can get things done a lot more reasonably IMO.Official response from representative 17.08.2026 15:04Darrell, we appreciate you taking the time to leave a review. It's great to know our team was prompt and thorough. We understand your concerns about pricing and value your input. Sincerely, Alamo Austin Air - Service, Sales, Maintenance and Installation -
Extremely responsive. Scheduled me within 24 hours. Their billing was super easy and they came and did the work in a fast and respectful manner while my mother in law was home.

It has been 5 yrs ago and never forgot how incompetent they were in a house water leak. They good by experts in water leak and destroyed a wall when they couldnt justify what they would do when its open. Dug for hours and days with no equipement. The tv commercials annoy me, saying they'd be better than your husband, why i am writing now. I was better than the guys senr. Avoid at all costs
