I have been a customer of Stan's Heating & Cooling for over five years and have faithfully participated in your maintenance program, receiving tune-ups twice each year. Unfortunately, due to my recent experience, I will no longer be a customer.
My concerns began when a technician diagnosed my upstairs damper as faulty and recommended replacement. I approved the repair; however, when the technician returned with the replacement part, he informed me that he could not perform the work because the damper was welded into the wall. This raised an obvious question: why was this not identified during the initial assessment?
Rather than completing the repair, the technician stated that the damper appeared to be working at that moment and suggested we simply monitor the situation. A few weeks later, my air conditioning system began running continuously and would not shut off.
When I called Stan's office on Friday to report the issue, I spoke with Denise. She informed me that there would be a $89 dollar service charge and that the earliest available appointment was the following Wednesday. What was most disappointing was not only the delay, but the way the conversation was handled. Denise was rude and unprofessional, and even suggested that I contact another company for service.
I explained that your technician had previously stated he had struck the side of the damper and that it should no longer be an issue and if there was to call in and ask to have a damper manager come out. Given that information, I found it unreasonable to be charged again for what appeared to be a result of the previous service visit and failed diagnosis. As a maintenance program member, I also expected a greater sense of urgency regarding an issue that could potentially damage my compressor if left unresolved.
I requested to speak with a manager and was told that someone would contact me on Monday. Amanda (the manager) subsequently called, but unfortunately that interaction was equally disappointing. As I was explaining the situation, there was complete silence on the line. After repeatedly saying "hello" and receiving no response, Amanda suddenly replied that she was still there. It appeared that she may have been distracted or multitasking during the conversation and had the phone on mute.
At that point, I informed her that I had already contacted another HVAC company, and they were actively addressing the issue. My intention in taking the call was primarily to report on the unprofessional customer service I had received from Denise. However, after my interaction with Amanda, it became clear that the level of customer service I experienced was not only staff but management as well.
After more than five years as a loyal customer, I am extremely disappointed that a misdiagnosed repair, a lack of accountability, and poor customer service have led me to take my business elsewhere.

We've used Stan's in the past without issue , but we will not use them again . Tried to get them to come out to check our AC unit that was leaking . They can't give you a window of time they will come - just that they'll call 30 prior . After multiple phone calls , and reassurances they would show up they didn't . They called at 6pm to reschedule- used the wrong phone number even though we had several conversations verifying our number, and then failed to call or show up the next day .

Three years ago, they had a two-person crew come to clean my air ducts with a vacuum and brushes. It was a great quality service and I called them again this week.

On Tuesday, a guy named Ron from Clean Air Pro came with a drill-powered chimney sweep kit that costs $40 online.

He refused to use the proper equipment, claiming a chimney drill power kit is how they "always clean air vents."

The online statement on clean air pro specifically says "we use specialized equipment - vacuums and rotary brushes, among others-to complete our tasks." And it was very different from the top notch service I received 3 years prior...

Their office first said they'd get back to me in a day, but then the owner, Ben called and did his best to make it right. Ben managed to find a team that could make it out the very next day (which is very short notice, so was much appreciated)

A crew including Alex from Houston came to do a "fix" - and they did a phenomenal job!

They not only put plastic to cover surfaces and protect from dust, they washed the registers and primed them, they vacuumed (see pic) with the proper equipment, got so much dust out , they sealed off the sides of my register boxes since attic dust was coming out (such great attention to detail!), they even cleaned out the box under my AC that I thought was beyond hope!

So grateful to the company for making it right, to Alex and crew for the hard work, and to Ben (who's following up with more training to ensure his team follows exact same procedure as Houston).

    UPDATE 2 DAYS LATER
Stan's scheduled for our last 6-month inspection today. No window of time to come. We waited all *%$ day. 6:20 PM the guy calls, says he's running late, can he reschedule? Nope. That's the end with us, dude.

I hope this review deters people from using Stan's. It's the only small satisfaction we'll get.

What an AWFUL company. Since this company was sold a number of years ago, the service has quickly gone down hill. They will take your thousands of dollars for a new system, but then you are "nobody". They want you to have regular checkups, and they want you to schedule and confirm appointments, BUT then they don't show up and are just full of excuses. I scheduled my appointment nearly two months ago. They have checked with me a couple of times to get me to confirm the appointment, which I promptly did. However, they have kept me hostage in my own home ALL DAY. They will not provide an estimated ETA, and they will not respond to text messages. It is now after regular work hours, and I still have no ETA. When I just called, they just passed me around from one person to another and made multiple excuses for not coming out yet. What a joke of a company. DO NOT DO BUSINESS WITH STAN'S!!! I wish I had not.

Radiant takes advantage of its customers and charges exorbitant rates. We paid $4,700 to have our hot water heater replaced, and later learned this is at least double what we should have expected to pay for the appliance and service.

We had a newborn baby at home at the time, which the tech knew and even chatted with us about. So when our hot water heater suddenly sprung a leak, we were determined to get it fixed as soon as possible. I guess Radiant saw an opportunity to take advantage of the situation and make a quick buck. In our exasperated and sleep-deprived state, we trusted the tech and assumed the estimate he gave us was in good-faith.

Don't expect integrity from this business--they care more about price gouging their customers than securing repeat business. We will not be using Radiant again, and will be warning all our friends to stay away from this business as well.

On July 29, 2026, at approximately 6:00 p.m., I contacted Radiant to repair my air conditioning unit. I had already called two other HVAC companies, but Radiant was the only one that could come out that evening, so I chose them.
I was hoping the issue would be a simple repair, but I understood when the technician determined that both the blower motor and fan needed to be replaced. I asked if the repair could be completed the following day because I didn't want my children to go without air conditioning any longer than necessary. The technician told me he believed the required parts were available locally and that getting the repair done the next day shouldn't be a problem.
The following day, I waited to hear back but eventually had to call twice before anyone could tell me what was happening. I was informed they were still waiting for the technician to write up the estimate. Around 3:00 p.m., I finally received the estimate, approved it immediately, and was told that dispatch would contact me to schedule the repair.
After another hour passed without hearing anything, I contacted Radiant again to ask about scheduling. That is when I was informed that the necessary parts would not arrive until the following day.
What I don't understand is why it took until late the next day to prepare the estimate and order the parts. Had the estimate been completed earlier, the parts could have been ordered much sooner. I've experienced this exact repair on another air conditioning unit in the past, and a different company completed the entire repair in a single day--and for roughly half the cost.
Because of the delay, I may not even be available when Radiant is ready to schedule the repair.
    (Addition)
I eventually had no choice but to use Radiant because I couldn't find anyone that was available. I had called around and found other AC companies that would do the work for $400-$500 off if I could wait a day or two, however I have an autistic daughter who was getting agitated by the heat.
They did the service on Friday and 10 minutes after they leave, the tech calls me to say I need to pay immediately (I'm assuming because they don't like critical reviews). So the following Monday (today) I get an invoice and 30 minutes later a copy of that invoice saying it was past due.
Very unprofessional company. Will not use again.

So glad Stan's was able to help with electric & plumbing! What a fantastic group of professionals! The electrician lead was amazing and so detailed! Julian and the plumbing team were great and so caring! They explained everything- provided options to project and guarantees. Loved the photos and work progress reports provided to be able to view work. Had a question at one point and the office / dispatch was very responsive! Great info in the bid / quotes as well. Appreciate the Stan's team!

Ivan was outstanding. He diagnosed a failed run capacitor on our compressor immediately, explained the problem in clear terms, gave me real options instead of a single expensive one, and had the house cooling again the same visit. Expert, professional, and honest. Ask for him by name.

    TLDR:
I scheduled an appointment, confirmed this with someone on the morning of the appointment, and was then told when I called again in the evening that this was all a lie and Stan's did not intend to fulfill the appointment for another 5 days.

    ---

I was away on vacation and my AC went out during a very hot several days. I was worried about my cat's safety.

I called Stan's since I had a Gold Service Club card. It routed me to the weirdest AI system that was actually pretty good at pretending to be human - fake call center noise in the background and everything. It looked up my account and said I had an appointment for the next day.

I got a confirmation email and text - my appointment was scheduled for the next day.

In the morning I called Stan's and got a human. I let them know I was out of town and gave my card since I would not be there to directly pay (my friend would be at the house). They noted this down on the appointment. I asked about what time *that day* they would be out for the appointment. I was told that they could give no estimation more than some time that day.

Around 4/5pm I called again. I got a human again. I asked for an ETA. They transfer me to another person who handles scheduling.

That person then tells me that everything I was told so far was a lie. I had no appointment for that day, despite getting 2 confirmations and talking to multiple other people about the appointment. The soonest they intended to get someone out to my house was 5 days later.

I want to share my personal experience with Radiant Plumbing Service so my neighbors can make an informed decision.

Unfortunately, I had a very disappointing experience. In my opinion, the problem at my house was presented as much more serious than it actually was, and I was not given a clear explanation of the proposed repair or its cost before the work was completed. I was then charged on my credit card an amount that I believe was completely disproportionate to the work that was performed.

I felt misled and overcharged, and I regret choosing this company. Based on my experience, I cannot recommend Radiant Plumbing Service and would encourage neighbors to carefully review estimates, ask for a detailed explanation of the work, and get a second opinion before authorizing any repairs.

First off, the good: Super easy to schedule, nice website for tracking the tech on their way, were available next day, and they waived their trip charge when I scheduled.

Now the bad. I don't know their rates, but they must charge close to $1,000 per hour. I received a $701 quote to replace a slow drip faucet in a new construction home with a faucet I had picked up from Home Depot. I had gotten a few quick quotes on yelp and saw prices from $200-$400, so I expected ~$300 or so given Radiant's overhead.

$701 to spend 30 minutes replacing a faucet feels predatory and hoping that the homeowner has no idea about the market. Either that, or Radiant has overhead costs 3x their competitors.

Radiant is probably great in an emergency when you don't care what the cost is.

We purchased a new system in "23 and were very happy with the installation and service for the first year.
Still paying on the system we are (and would be whether we still had a balance or not) concerned with on-going maintenance of our new expensive system.
This year service calls have been abysmal. They schedule and They cancel. The second time they tried to cancel the service call I asked why again and upon finding out that they had cancelled before they went ahead and sent someone out.
Somone without the filter (which they replace twice a year) and unable to complete the service. That was over a week ago.
We were promised that someone would call and come out first thing Monday.
To date no call no service no satisfaction.
I would not recommend this company to anyone.

I have never left a negative review, but my experience with Radiant was extremely disappointing.

To begin with, Radiant canceled three scheduled appointments. I was very understanding each time, as I know unexpected things happen.

When a technician finally arrived, I was told I needed a new UV light for my system. I was told the part would need to be ordered and that I would be contacted once it arrived to schedule the installation. I was also told that I would only need to pay half upfront, which was not an issue. However, I later noticed that I had been charged the full amount. While I wasn't happy about it, I chose not to make an issue of it.

The day I received a text message that the part had arrived, I was dealing with a family emergency and was at the hospital. About an hour after receiving the text, I noticed on my security system that a Radiant van was pulling into my driveway. I immediately called and explained that I was at the hospital and would contact them to schedule once things settled down. I never scheduled the appointment; the person just showed up.

Two days later, I called to let them know I was still at the hospital and would need to postpone. Four days after that, I called to schedule the installation and was shocked to learn that my order had been canceled. When I asked about receiving a refund, I was told I would need to speak with a supervisor and that, because I had missed the appointment, the situation was my responsibility.

When a supervisor finally contacted me, she told me she would call me back once her computer "unfroze." Unfortunately, that call never came. After waiting four hours, I called again and was informed that it would take 7-10 business days to receive my refund.

I have never experienced customer service like this. Between the repeatedly canceled appointments, being charged the full amount upfront, and the difficulty obtaining a refund for a canceled order, this experience was incredibly frustrating and disappointing.

We will also be canceling our maintenance contract with them.

I hope Radiant takes this feedback seriously and improves how it communicates with and supports its customers.

Save the headache and avoid this company. Scheduled an appointment and then they missed the appointment window they confirmed, then missed the later time they gave us also. Our tech was knowledgable and friendly but the company overall is a hassle you don't want to deal with.

If money is no object for your HVAC system install or repair project, Alamo Air is the company for you. If you are a working person, or a person fighting a rare form of blood cancer like me, with its related expenses, they may not be your best option.

I am giving them 2 stars, because their techs are professional, technically skilled, and product knowledgeable. It kinda' stops there, if you don't have major bucks for their work. I do find them, unsurprisingly, rapidly responsive after they submit a quote.

Then, there are the coupons, with the fine-print disclaimers. In my case, a $150 "special" promotional discount vanished when we removed a short run of basic flex duct from the scope of work. No explanation was given about the discount's removal. It just vanished from the quote.

Awesome HVAC company, if you can tote the note, and navigate the, sometimes disappearing, morass of their special promotions, discounts, and coupons.

Jim, Thank you for taking the time to share your feedback. We're glad to hear you found our technicians to be professional, knowledgeable, and responsive. Regarding the $150 promotion, it was offered as a discount for completing both scopes of work during the same visit. Once the estimate was revised to include only one scope of work, the promotion no longer applied. That said, we understand how the revised estimate could have been confusing without a clear explanation of why the discount ha…

The technician Diego B. was promptly on time, very courteous, informational and an expert at his job. We had Stan's service for many, many years and have always been satisfied. But Diego really is tops in his field. Thoroughly explained each task and answered any questions. He is definitely a 5 star technician with upper management capability. We are expecting one of Stan's top plumbers to arrive on Monday.

We had radiant install a new system 4 years ago, and there was a manufacturer defect that caused our system to lose refrigerant. While the parts would be covered by warranty, the labor to replace it was in the thousands. We feel like we spent significantly more money for a premium service and now we're being held hostage because of a manufacturer issue on a product that was recommended by radiant, and we now have to pay thousands more. We intentionally spent more so that it would last up to 12 years, yet at 4 years we have to pay essentially 20% of what we paid the first time, we're simply being left holding the bag. While I understand that there is no contractual warranty on radiant, we feel like we've been robbed. We do not expect to ever use radiant again.

McCullough installed our H-VAC system about 3 years ago. We have had to call them out various times. We had them out a couple of weeks ago when the "fixed" the problem. Our system is now off line and we cannot turn it on. We are extremely uncomfortable and annoyed. McCullough says they cannot send someone out until tomorrow and we will be charged again. That is very poor business. They say they are "open" 24/7 but the only answer you get is an AI voice.

Right now if I could give negative stars I would! Very upset whole new HVAC system put in house just 10 days ago. Today part is out and company cannot get it. My house is over 80 degrees inside and nothing is being done!!! System cost me a ton, I just bought my house and need help! The service manager called once and has not gotten back with me. I asked for hotel or something as I have health issues. I am angry to say the least. Owners need to get involved and help with this!
