This is the 3rd time in 3 weeks I’ve had to call them and my ac is still not working. This last time he said it was a clogged drain and he added Freon to my unit. We had an ac installed by Affordable AC & Heating by Shane in Corpus Christi at the end of June 2021. I usually let a couple of weeks go by before I review a big purchase to make sure there are no issues or problems. 2 weeks have passed.

A nearby relative had both her inside and outside units replaced by Shane about a month earlier. I checked out the work, looking at both units and it was a clean and neat installation. No insulation, wire strippings or other junk that contractors sometimes leave behind. Things that needed wrapping or insulating were done neatly and cleanly. About once a week for four weeks I checked with my relative to ask how her system was functioning. The answer was always very positive....cooling well and working great!

So, in June I called to have Affordable look at an outside unit I had been told needed replacing from another company. It did ok except when outside temps got about 95 - then it could not keep up. Shane, the owner showed up. He did a system check on both our upstairs and downstairs systems. He agreed that it might be time to replace the one outside unit, but did not push a sale. He came up with a well-priced high efficiency unit that was compatible with the 18 month old blower unit for that system. Installation was the following day. Clean and neat and over 2 weeks in, the system still works great.

Conclusion: I will continue to call Affordable AC & Heating by Shane for problems, and I will have them do annual or semi-annual checkups and maintenance on our system.
