We were enrolled in American Comfort Experts' annual maintenance subscription. When we noticed a persistent "dirty sock" smell in our home, we were told the additional duct services were needed. This cost us an additional $870.

However, during the duct cleaning service visit, the technician informed us that coil cleaning was not part of this additional service because it was supposed to be covered under our existing yearly maintenance plan. It became evident that the coil cleaning was never performed during any of the previous maintenance services.

The duct cleaning technician called the technician who had previously performed our annual maintenance to visit our home and ask him about this. In front of my husband, the technician who performed our yearly maintenance acknowledged that the coils had never been cleaned during prior maintenance services because they were difficult for him to get to. You would think this would be mentioned to us instead of pretending to perform coil cleaning for several years. Because the coils weren't being cleaned, there was a dirty sock smell, which we thought would be resolved if the ducts were cleaned. Finding out that this smell would have been resolved if the coils were properly cleaned​ is frustrating because we would have never paid the $870 for the ducts to be cleaned if this were the case.

We attempted to resolve this matter directly with the owner of American Comfort Experts, but they refused to give us any money back, despite not receiving services that we paid for (coil cleaning). Absolutely unfair and unprofessional.

Update Been using them for a few years, always knowledgeable, professional, and treat your home with respect. Never price gouging or try to talk you into things you don’t need. Fast Forward - Had a blower motor go out on system, 90+ degrees, ACE came out 30 minutes after I called them and remedied the problem promptly - Josh and Zach to the rescue !!!! They are the experts you want for all your needs.

We’ve used ACE a few times and they have always been great. Zach was a life saver today and got our AC up and running in an hour. He was super knowledgeable and helped me understand exactly what was going on and what needed to be fixed. 10/10!!

A big thanks to the technician Nick Rodriguez! Very professional and quick considering it was in the evening. He was thorough and explained everything that was going on. I intend to make this company my main POC when it comes to my AC maintenance.

I suppose I "inherited" ACE when I purchased my home last year and the previous owners recommended them to continue with my routine A/C maintenance. I'm so glad they did! From the first phone call to the service technicians it has been an extremely friendly and efficient process. I highly recommend this locally owned company!

Second time having a tech come out to my home to service my ac unit and furnace after another power outage in my area and they have always shown up early, quick to get the service done, informed me on the how's and why's, get a bill that doesn't make me tense up, and they're out. A bonus is that the phone operators and techs are incredibly friendly. I'm a combat veteran and it makes me incredibly happy to support a veteran owned business that does so extremely well. Thank you guys again.

We have been customers of ACE for 16 years, and could not be happier. Their service is top notch. Their responsiveness is second to none. And their techs are always professional, respectful & knowledgeable. Our first experience with ACE was 16 years ago. We were in Las Vegas, the kids were home with grandma, and our downstairs a/c went out. We called ACE from Vegas, and Doug & his team were at our house the next day (a Sunday!). Fast forward to last night. One of the drains in the attic was clogged, which caused the drain pan to fill & signal the a/c to shut off. I texted Christie at ACE last night & Antonio was at our house today to fix the problem. Next time you have any HVAC needs, we highly recommend ACE. Give them a call!

From the first contact to the completion of the job, everything was seamless. They replaced my water heaters and handled duct cleaning with precision and care. I have used ACE for several of our air conditioning issues and they have always been great to work with! They are on time, very knowledgeable, quick repairs and the cost is reasonable. We will continue to use them for all our locations!

I called them at 10:30 pm on a weeknight in an A/C crisis. Temps were close to the 100's during the day so we needed emergency repairs. They answered the call quickly & made arrangements to have an on-call service tech out right away. So I was floored when he showed up in 25 min considering we were very rural and 30 min away from a major town area! Zachary was very nice, efficient, knowledgeable and had the issue diagnosed very quickly and repaired within 40 minutes! Their pricing for after hours was also shocking as it was much lower than other A/C companies. Am extremely satisfied with the experience and will use them in the future.

This was my first time using American Comfort Experts and I was VERY happy I decided to give them a call! I haven’t had good luck with AC companies and have been looking for one that I can actually count on, who is knowledgeable, not pushy to purchase anything, has good pricing and is nice….and I’ve found them!

During the initial call to ask for an appointment to be scheduled the woman who answered the phone was so kind. She walked me through my options and got me on the books for same day! Always a good start!

Then, James came out and I was truly blown away by his knowledge and the time he took to ensure everything was fixed and nothing else was broken. He walked me through everything and he was glad to do it. He didn’t talk down to me or sound annoyed he had to - I could tell he truly wanted me to understand everything about my system, how the parts stand at this time and didn’t leave until I felt comfortable with everything.

I couldn’t be happier that I finally found an AC company I can trust!

I called due to my air being out the night before and they showed up the same day.The tech, Nick Rodriguez fixed the issue within 15 minutes and conducted a service maintenance. Very professional and knowledgeable. I was a little Leary due to a past experience with another company. American Comfort Experts were amazing and I have already recommended them to my family members. Great job guys.

My downstairs unit suddenly stopped working. The thermostat still worked, but the outside unit wasn’t turning on. After some quick troubleshooting (resetting breakers) and no luck, I called ACE. They dispatched a technician and he was at my door within 2 hours.
Antonio quickly diagnosed the problem and got hour house cool again. He was very professional, efficient, and knowledgeable. Highly recommend ACE and Antonio!

Excellent experience yesterday with James Lewis from American Comfort Express. Our air conditioner had been shutting off every few days. He diagnosed the problem and explained how it could be resolved. He will be coming tomorrow with the necessary parts to repair the unit. Appreciate his skill and knowledge to correctly diagnose the problem and look forward to a continuing relationship with the company

Antonio came out very quickly and fixed my problem within 15 minutes of arrival. He was fast very thorough and knowledgeable. Definitely recommend American Comfort Experts they sre the best.

American Comfort Experts were very professional! They answered the phone after hours and it wasn't an automated press 1 for this 2 for that either. I spoke to a real person! They offered an immediate service at 7:45 pm or a lower regular hours price the following morning. I opted for the next day and our Tech Zach, called in the morning to inform me that he was on time and on his way. Zach was very professional as well. He did a fantastic job and diagnosed the problem in minutes, a bad capacitor. He replaced the capacitor, checked the refrigerant levels, the inside unit and was even able to do a soft start kit install that I wanted to get done. He was out the door in an hour or so. Zach, was very friendly and respectful and let's just say gave me hope for the youth and our future. Would absolutely recommend American Comfort Experts!!
