Carlos Martinez was a wonderful technician that fixed my broken refrigerator in record time. He was polite, orderly, and diagnosed the problem very quickly. My first time working with Uptown Appliance Repair and the experience was great! Their office is very professional, helpful and i never had to wait long to reach a live agent/schedule an appointment. Only reason i’m not giving 5 stars is that i did not receive a “hey, heading your way” message when it was stated i would. Happy i was inside my home when Carlos stopped by but i know that’s minuscule in the grand scheme of things. I’d highly recommend.

Carlos Martinez was on time, professional, and was able to repair our built in Thermador microwave with equipment he had on hand. He was efficient, but he also took the time to show me why the burned out parts weren’t working and also how they should work. Scheduling was easy and I received appropriate reminders and advanced notice when he was on the way. All in all a very good experience with fair pricing. Uptown Appliance Repair gave me no reason not to use them again. Thanks, DJR

Unethical pricing, poor communication, and misleading repair practices.
I was charged over $700 for a refrigerator repair that failed almost immediately. The company later tried to charge another $1,100 — including a 115% markup on a part that wasn’t even defective. An independent, factory-authorized technician confirmed that my refrigerator is working fine and that the original diagnosis (claiming four failed parts at once) was completely implausible.

They also refuse to include part numbers or details in quotes unless you specifically demand them — a clear lack of transparency that misleads customers. I’ve opened a dispute with my bank and reported this to KitchenAid and the Texas Attorney General’s Office. Be very cautious before doing business with this company.

Very easy (but not inexpensive) process to replace my failed ice maker on my 8 year old KitchenAid frig. Carlos and Isaac quickly diagnosed the problem, got the part ordered and both returned a few days later for the install. Happy with these guys and the overall process.
