BV HVAC company is inexperienced and does botchy work. BV replaces a 1990 HVAC in a renovation of mine . The new unit kept tripping the Breaker Box and shutting down the HVAC . HVAC 101 is to know to call a Licensed Electrician . (which I had my own electrician on standby and they never asked for assistance)
They charged me to replace electrical parts at the Breaker that were out of their field. Had to come back to my Renovation 4 times before I call my licensed electrician aboard.
Then the condensation pump they installed the drain line , but they didn't join with a pvc pipe and just truncated the copper pipe and burned it with heat,* At the Elbow the pipe starts to leak ,I had to re-open the wall and have then come out... BV's solution was to put Gorilla Glue on a copper elbow. This isn’t holding either.
I am going to call a licensed plumber and have the pipe corrected and send the bill to BV.
I am a fair person so before writing this review I allowed them to come out and fix and then gave them more work on another condensation pump, he didn't want to go into the attic to see where the condensation drain line was draining to and told me that he can't accept responsibility if the new drain leaks in the future- BS your hand touch it you will be responsible. Then thought he was going to charge me the full price of the new install.

The owner of this company has been to my home 4 times in 1 week. Because my until keeps freezing up. He just keeps thawing it out and adding freon when there's an obvious leak. His name is John and he does not handle business professionally. First time he said don't put ac below 70 now he says don't put the schedule below 75. He has yet to check for an obvious leak.

Mike and Camilo were very professional and did a great job !!! On time and very patient.

John and his Team was very professional in the installation of my HVAC in Grand Prairie. They arrived on time and performed the work as promised. They installed a 5/Ton A/C unit for downstairs with a 4/Ton A/C unit upstairs and they completely reconstructed the HVAC in the attic. This business replaced unneeded parts and misdiagnosed my AC problems. The owner assigned an unlicensed technician to work on my AC, he burned my original part (electrical shock) and I had to pay to replace the part he burned. After they left 2 hours, AC stopped working, I called, and the owner blame it.... old AC, I said since it's old and having problems that why I needed a service. I called another technician to check out, the later technician reported that BV A/C worker replaced unneeded and wrong parts and misdiagnosed issues. I ended up paying for their mistakes. I want this company to be responsible for their service. By charging excessive prices to parts and performing wrong service... It is very unfair to homeowner
Additionally, the owner said he would come to my house to take the parts out. I told him coming to my house without my consent it would be a trespassing. I do not have confidence to do business with this company

We had our AC unit replaced at our home, with a new room addition. John and his team did a phenomenal job. They're punctual and work very clean. We're very happy with the work they did and I highly recommend them.

Our AC as not turning on, and we had had problems with our AC since we moved into the house in 2018. We had the air handler replace once and A coil replaced twice (the second time under warranty). The air conditioner was draining my pocket. I told Mr. Voung about all the problems that we had had, and that I was certain there was a leak. He listened to me patiently and went to check the unit. When he came back he said: "Freon pressure is fine, no leak. Bad wiring." I said I was doubtful but that I would go along with his assessment, and we struck a deal: If his fix lasted I would give him a good review. And so, Here we are!

My AC unit needed to be replaced. BV Air headed towards my home as soon as I got off the phone with them. They showed up earlier than the expected appt. They gave the best price and was able to change out our unit within the next day. I highly recommend their company.

John and his install team are awesome professionals. Jessica and i couldn't be happier with our choice..and a whole new system in less than one day. Truely impressive.

I am 62 years old and I have not seen a company this impressive in a long time! They respond quickly. They are very professional with "yes sir" and "no sir". They wear uniforms. I had a complete AC system installed and their price beat the competition by a wide margin. During the installation they used drop cloths on my floor and cleaned up when finished. I honestly can't think of one single thing that they could have done to impress me more! They have earned a customer for life with me! Great job John!

Update: To the company’s credit, they did quickly respond to my original review below, seeking additional info. An office manager apologized via email and discussed the steps taken to address my concerns and the actions of their staff.

Original: Not a customer of BV, but I did recently call to report one of their employees for what I viewed as reckless driving and was met with audible laughter by a company representative.

The driver of a BV service vehicle crossed over the solid white lines of a freeway exit, without a blinker and very nearly collided with my vehicle. As a Dallas driver, this isn’t new to me by any means, but I felt it was pretty blatant and careless for someone driving in a company-branded vehicle. Enough so that I felt it worth reporting.

When I relayed the matter to a representative over the phone , they just laughed and said they’d “take care of it.” Didn’t ask a single question or attempt to collect any information about the driver or location.

I called them out for their obvious lack of concern and was again met with laughter. I’ll admit to using a few choice words after that, but their attitude was outright dismissive and rude.

Certainly hope the driver and customer service representative I encountered treat other folks better in the future. If not, BV will continue to carry the liability of having a potentially-dangerous driver on the road.

I have 3 restaurants and one of the AC from my restaurant has a problem since last year, I got John's number from my customer and I called him and explained my situation and he sent a someone and within one hour he fixed the AC , John the owner is honest person and he has a knowledge about AC, not like the others company try to rip off your money

I have replaced two AC systems with BV now. John is very professional and patient. I usually ask a lot of questions and do tons of research before making a decision. John did not push me to make a quick decision but instead provided me with all the detailed information I requested. Their work quality is also very good, and they keep my floor clean. Highly recommended!

I am a first time customer with them who did my homework and searched for the best company. I found them highly recommended on Nextdoor and decided to call them. I'm glad I did and boy were they patient with me. I had a bad experience with a different AC company and so was hesitant to believe anything I was told, but John from the company was very detailed and was easy to talk to. We had frequent communication back and forth for several days and he answered all my questions, detailing the service and pricing. John responded to me during the weekend on both Saturday and Sunday!

I had my 13 year old AC system replaced by the crew yesterday and they were punctual, professional, and very considerate. They laid out a tarp all the way up the stairs to my attic and swapped out my indoor and outdoor AC system. It's true what other people on the review say, they do clean up after themselves. They even turned on the system and waited to make sure the entire system was working and fine tuned.

Later I checked on my system's warranty and found that they had taken care of all the paperwork too!

I am extremely satisfied and happy with the quality of the system and the thoroughness of the service. BV Air Conditioning & Heating has gained a loyal customer and I will rely on them from now on for my service needs.
