Don’t do it! RUN!!! Save your money and get another builder!! They don’t even deserve 1 star. This is the cheapest house I’ve ever lived in! They build with CHEAP materials! Everything is falling apart and it’s just been a year, and half of that I was deployed. There are still holes in my walls from where they didn’t complete their work, there’s cement grout on places there shouldn’t be, all light switches and outlets look sloppy with paint and bumpy putty, my sliding door doesn’t even lock because they didn’t measure the lock switch right, tiles had chips, my tub had chips because they would throw tools and tile in there while building, the paint outside my house is still patchy because they never finished like they said they would, not to mention every tile is uneven, and I never even got my address numbers!!! WORST BUILDERS IN EL PASO HANDS DOWN! Completely unsatisfied and I tell everyone to never even consider Casas de Leon! Including my military folks. I can’t wait to sell this house. These pictures are only a glimpse!

AVOID!!!!! Don’t waste your money like I did.
It’s alll lies since the beginning, we got promised a beautiful house and now we sit on an overpriced piece of trash. I’ve been fixing things myself because I got tired of waiting for them to show up and put bandaids like those foils on my roof that would probably last until the warranty is over. It’s been 2 months since we closed and I have fixed many many things, I can’t imagine what this place will look like in a year. Sad!! -
Absolutely the worst experience ever since day 1. So hard to get a hold of. When it comes times to repair it’s just a waste of time they never show up. We have only been in this house for 1 year and the craftsmanship is horrible. Security panel installed not even being wired water floods the garage amongst other things.

Casas De Leon has been great to work with. They understand that they are not only selling a house, they are also selling a home. The entire team was always very informative and friendly, making any concerns easy to handle. I love my home.

Terrible quality houses. I’ve had mine for 8 years. They use cheap material.
I reached out to them the first year I bought it to fix issues in the house. Sent me foreman and he just gave me excuses. Never fixed the issues, I had to do them myself and pay out of pocket. Walls are cracking, they left the tile on the toilet broken, left water hose messed up, did a terrible quick fix, the side door, everytime it rains, water comes in, damages structure . There’s so much that is terrible, but those are to name a few. I can’t wait to get rid of this house.
Update: tried to replace shower faucets, I can’t even take off the screw with the Allen wrench they decided to glue and completely flush the screw.
Oh and they use clear glue to do a crappy job
Another update: I had a water leak and plumber tells me” why would the builder put an outlet right under the shower valve?” I had no response but thought about how poor this house is built(picture below) -
I had an emergency this morning and called Julian ( Casas De Leon ) Julian and his staff were speedy, clarity, professional and went the extra mile to fix the problem I had at my new home. Their service is marked by efficiency and punctuality. The repair was done perfectly. Thank you, Julian and your wonderful professional staff!

Working with Casas de Leon was a great experience from start to finish. Their team maintained clear and consistent communication throughout the entire home buying process. Anytime I had a question—big or small—they were available and willing to help, which gave me a lot of confidence and peace of mind.
I truly appreciated their professionalism and dedication to making sure everything was handled properly. I would definitely recommend Casas de Leon to anyone looking to buy a home. -
As a top sales agent for CasasDeLeon, I can honestly say the incentives that are included with your new home far outweigh what the standard in the industry offers. I believe in this so much that I was able to get one of my sons into his 1st home. Great new homes, serving Far East El Paso and Horizon communities. If you're looking for a new home, stop by 14345 Tobe Davis. You'll be glad you did. Beautiful homes, come see for yourself.

The low-maintenance features are a huge bonus. Quality materials and thoughtful design mean you spend less time on upkeep and more time enjoying your home. Casas de Leon truly builds with the homeowner in mind.
Highly recommend to anyone looking for a beautiful, energy-efficient, and well-built home in El Paso! -
I've worked with other builders in this city but Carefree Homes really did a fantastic job bringing my vision to life and providing excellent service from beginning to end. Their attention to quality and craftsmanship is evident throughout our new home. Thank you, Carefree Homes, for creating our dream home!

My initial experience may have been good but that has changed. Within a year the water heater broke, cabinets broke, roof leaked, hole in the stucco, and missing tiles off the roof. We reported the needed repairs and we were told that they were behind but the repairs would be made. It’s been over 6 months and we haven’t heard anything about the repairs being made. Today our carbon monoxide detector went off and after some investigation from the fire department and the gas company there was a furnace leak found. The level of carbon monoxide in our home was 30 ppm which is extremely high and could have killed my family. The gentleman from the gas company said that if we had been asleep we would have died from the level. When I informed carefree of the problem they informed me that I was out of the year warranty and that I would have to have the problem fixed myself. The firefighters, gas company and even the police officer that came to the home said that there is no reason for the furnace to have a leak this soon. I don’t know if Carefree is using used parts or the installation is faulty but there have been way too many problems in less than a 2 year time. I would never recommend Carefree homes to anyone. They are not interested in providing good customer service or providing a good product.
My experience was great! Our design coordinator, Roxana, guided us through the experience which made it so much easier. The selection and quality was great. Would recommend to anyone looking to build a new home! We can’t wait for our home to be finished!! -
Go with a different builder. The NE subdivision crew is sloppy, unresponsive, and are all about finishing to move onto the next. Had to have them replace and redo multiple pieces of the framing due to bad wood being used. Good thing we caught it before walls went up. Their cleaning crew is HORRIBLE walked in on a lady and her young kids cleaning and they did a horrible job. Dust and paint still on floors, shower had grout stuck on the floors. Paint on door knobs. Just completely sloppy. Getting ppl to come out here to fix things after it was completed was a nightmare!! Fix things on a new build ridiculous!! Just go elsewhere! This is my second new build and I would never recommend Carefree! I've advised ppl to look elsewhere when they see us outside and ask us questions about how the process went. Advised all our realtor friends to not refer their clients to CF Homes. Would have canceled had it not been for such a loss of down-payment we had to put down.

If you buy a house from them, get a professional to test the quality and thickness of stucco. Also, go through your entire home and remove all the electrical outlets and light switches to make sure they arent a fire hazard. I have photographic evidence so just hit me up if you need proof...UPDATE. no surprise they didn't have records. They sold me a house under a subsidiary that was dissolved according to my attorneys at the time. This is apparently a common practice to swerve the ability to file after warranty claims which have a 10 year limit. Make sure you are buying from the parent company so you can hold them accountable when your house inevitably starts having major issues.

Our Carefree design studio appointment was fantastic and memorable. Jennifer Rodriguez did an amazing job and going over our options and helping with selection colors when needed. We were not rushed and felt like the time we needed to make these big decisions was adequate. This is our second house with Carefree and this new modified design center studio was a great improvement and experience. Wish I could rate it an overall 10 stars! Good job!

The craftsmanship in these homes is horrible. When they sent their representative to do the walk through for warranty work they denied most of the complaints! Cement is cracked from wall to wall in the garage, the back porch, the driveway, according to them that's to be expected. I know there is settlement but not to this extent. The baseboard looks like someone who knows nothing about cutting 45 degree angles installed them. That goes for door trim as well. Grout was missing in several areas. There is a tile installed that is a factory defect and they still installed it!! Blows my mind. But nope not their problem!!?? Not one, ok maybe one, but all the switch plates & outlet plates have big gaps and don't sit flush. all it requires is removing the plate making sure it sits flush and some caulk, but nope they cant do that. Sinks are not centered in the counter. Thats how its supposed to be 😆 Missing wood trim in several cabinets. Tape & texture was horrible in several.areas they did fix that. Whoever painted doesn't know how to cut the edges so you have a nice crisp line instead you see ceiling color on wall and vice versa. The list goes on but I'm sure yall get the idea. If you buy from them before you sign make sure you do a very good walk through and make sure you and them have it documented and they sign off on acknowledgment of the issues. There were several people that came that day and the Quality Assurance guy & the lady representative ate the ones that said everything was fine. I told him I would be ashamed to call all of these issues quality.
I guess Carefree homes are not what they used to be.
Oohhh I almost forgot it took 3 appointments to have the tile guy to come & let us know he was not going to switch the tile & to apply grout. These people have no consideration of peoples time. Work schedules were switched to be available when they said they would be here. No phone call or text. Until we reached out.
Be very careful if you go with Careless Homes!! I mean Carefree. -
I had been told and read reviews that the Carefree Homes Design Center was one of the best, and that the design coordinators were great at making the process clear and painless.
I was very happy when everything I had heard/read was absolutely true during my Design Appointment! This is the first time I've ever done anything like this and Mrs. Jennifer Rodriguez, the design coordinator who helped me during the process, was absolutely awesome to work with! There was an upgrade that I had in mind but was very time sensitive and she didn't hesitate to check on it to make sure it was still possible. Mrs. Rodriguez didn't push or sell me any upgrades, just presented the options and let me choose. She was very honest throughout the whole process and would offer advice whenever I got "stuck" with the design choices (I'm not a designer and sometimes its hard to visualize how an modification would turn out); again, she didn't push any extra upgrades, rather she understood what I was looking for overall and made suggestions based on designs she'd seen work before. Mrs. Rodriguez was fantastic to work with and so far my experience with Carefree Homes has been great!
ADVICE: Couple things I would recommend is to take pictures of everything during your Design appointment, even the standard choices or things you might be on the fence about, it'll help when you receive your priced Wish List. Also, if you're thinking about certain upgrades but aren't sure if it'd be cheaper to do it yourself after closing, add them to your Wish List so you can get a quote, but do all your research and find out the "do-it-yourself" cost BEFORE you get the Wish List with price quotes. When I received my Wish List with the quoted prices, I was only given a couple days before the final selections and money/deposit was due; so if you already had your own quotes, you're already ready to just compare and finalize. However, in my case, most of the quoted upgrades from Carefree were actually cheaper than if I waited and did them myself after closing. -
First, I like to share my experience about a recent encounter with Carefree Warranty. When I purchased my Carefree home and did the initial walk through of the home we opened the sliding doors. We immediately noticed the doors did not open easily and were very difficult to slide. We were told the rails had dirt and need some TLC. Then several months after we moved in one of the sliding doors got stuck and would not open. Carefree Warranty was contacted and they sent a company to check the sliding door. It got fixed. However, I asked one of the men that fixed the door, why the sliding doors did not easily slide. He told me that the rails had dirt. Well, I cleaned the rails on numerous occasions and I followed basic maintenance of sliding door rails. Then over this past weekend I dutifully cleaned the rails and then I noticed the doors were canted (all three) and were not level. I then slowly closed the sliding doors and I immediately notice the sliding doors closed at an angle. I further inspected the sliding doors and I then noticed drywall screws were used by the Carefree builder to install the latch catcher in the mortice and if I were to adjust the sliding door the latch would not line up with the latch catcher (not sure it is called this). I immediately notified Carefree Warranty and I was subsequently told my home warranty expired and I was further told these type of doors need maintenance. Well, I have been doing the maintenance but since the doors were installed incorrectly and I can not adjust the sliding doors due them not lining up (level) with each other. Now I have three inoperable sliding doors thanks to this company!

My husband and I are in the process of building our Carefree home. Carefree Homes is a great company to work with. Our home representatives Martin and Marcos have been wonderful. The design center offers an abundance of choices to create your dream home. My only suggestion would be to do your own research on colors and styles you want to implement in your home, so that the design center experience does not become overwhelming. We are happy with our choices and cannot wait to see our finished home.

My wife and I had a great experience at our Carefree design studio appointment. Many of the items we thought we would need to upgrade many designed items but come to find out most of our choices were so awesome and standard! Roxana was our designer and she was so helpful. Roxana explained everything as we went along, and overall it was a great day and one step closer to our new Carefree home.

Jennifer at the Design Center was so NICE! She has a great personality and made our New House make it feel like it was a HOME. She has great sense of style and extensive knowledge in what it takes to custom our new home to fit our style. Even through the virtual meetings she never hesitated to show us all the options we had as well as make great suggestions to help us through the meeting. Carefree has also been great with communication, as a 1st time home buyer I can honestly say that the process has been effortless and I feel great to have my home built by Carefree. #CountDownToClosing 😀

Thank you Carefree for helping us design our first home. Walking in to the design center my wife and I were nervous and overwhelmed with all the different options. After meeting with our designer Jennifer she made us feel welcomed and comfortable through out the process. She took the time to help us understand everything about our new property and get the most out of our experience. Till this day she takes the time to work with us with any questions or adjustments we have towards our design. We really appreciate the whole carefree staff for their services and patience. Thank you for helping us build our true home!
