CareFree Homes has been a great experience. The designs of the homes and the quality of the build is what encouraged us to go with CareFree Homes. Pat and Mike have been welcoming each time we have gone to the main office to discuss options and sign paperwork. We went to the design studio today and worked with Karina who was wonderful walking us through all our option . We did not feel overwhelmed at all. These builders have been a breeze to work with!

The issues we had when built were never resolved, correctly. The workmanship is below standard, and it's obvious kickback are involved as this home should not have passed inspections. From tile, paint, water, electrical, HVAC, we have had it all. And the 10 year building warranty is a SCAM. The only part of your home warrantied past the 2 year mark is the foundation. RUN far away, from this company and their partner Tropicana.

Just had our Design Studio appointment (9/20/2019) and we had such a pleasant experience. Karina Lujan was very patient with us and understood its not an easy process to go through. She made us feel comfortable and confident in the decisions we ultimately made. I would also recommend Rene Acosta as he has also been very helpful and understanding to all the questions we have had so far. Overall i would greatly recommend Carefree homes for your home buying needs.

$400k home and an AC system failure after 14 months; not good. I see the same failures around multiple carefree homes within the neighborhood so there is a an issue with these systems. Warrany department does address issues during the first year but as soon as that year is up, you are on your own. Do better Carefree specially with reocurring common issues within your homes. Your AC systems, electrical, rock walls, outside stucco, and your cabinets are substandard. I will not be buying a Carefree home again.

The carefree design studio is extraordinary! We worked with Roxanna and she was awesome! She made our experience wonderful and was very informative about every detail and question that we had for her. This is our second new home construction but the first with Carefree as our builder. Carefree is leaps and bounds ahead of our prior experience. Customer service is everything and Carefree has definitely established a lasting relationship with us!

Carefree Homes has been a blessing to our family. We got our beautiful home just the way we expected, it came with all new appliances and all the changes that we ask for were made thanks to the design center. We had the opportunity to be involved in every step of the making of our house and the materials used in it something that a lot of builders don't do Our salesman Rene Acosta and the superintendent Memo made the process smooth and perfect. Our family is in love with our new home. I would recommend Carefree to all the families that are seeking for a new home and want something well made and people who make you feel like family this is the builder for you. We are proud to be a part of the carefree family...

My wife and I would like to thank CareFree Homes for their outstanding service since day one. First, I would like to thank Pat and Mike Sanchez for their patience and excellent treatment. They were able to answer all our questions without hesitating. They made my wife and I feel at home when we didn't even have our house yet. They are great people who care about their customers. They are proactive, knowledgeable, and always think about their customers.

On November 11, 2019, we visited the Design Center; at that point, we were nervous because we were about to design our forever home. There, we met Jennifer and right away, we knew we're in the right hands. Jennifer knows what she is doing. She is helping people like us who are making a lifetime decision. She was able to answer all of our questions and answered them all with a smile. She definitely made it all a very smooth process.

I would like to say that the installations and products at the Design Center are world-class quality. At first, it seems a little overwhelming, but Jennifer guided us in designing our home. We are really excited, and cannot wait to move into our brand new CareFree Home to move into our brand new CareFree Home.

If I could rate them lower, I would!!! We thought we found our dream house, and it's definitely been a nightmare since our purchase!!! I understand that there will be small issues that develop on a new build, however we have been in our house only for 1 year and a half, and we've had 4 leaks in the master bedroom because of the AC. They've sent people out twice (Omega Air, who also installed the system), and yet here we are still dealing with this. A $350,000 dollar home, and my master bedroom ceiling looks ridiculous already. If I would have known this, I would have never went through with my purchase. Hands down, worst home builder that I've had the experience of dealing with!!!!

Going to design our home was a blast! Jennifer was very helpful and informative about how different designs went together and how it would essentially go together. We are very excited about moving into our new home! We pretty much were able to pick everything that we would like to upgrade and change to make our house into a forever home! I would highly recommend carefree homes just in general due to the design studio and what they have to offer!

Ruben Valles was our sales consultant and he was exceptional. He was honest and upfront about the process, was present at every step, and communicated well the entire time. The home itself is well built and includes many quality of life improvements.

Care free...I think not! Purchased our home and have had issues. As with most homes you buy, you are probably going to have some issues and I understand that. However, I shouldn't get the run around when requesting repairs, especially if it is stull under warranty. Do better!!

So happy we decided to go with CareFreee, they did everything they could to find the best option for us an doir bidget. Thank you CareFree!

My husband and I had a great afternoon making our choices for our new home. The staff members were very helpful through the whole process. They had a lot of options and answered our many questions. I am so excited for our house, even more so now that we know what it will look like!

Best home I've ever had. They don't allow many modifications as they are not a custom home builder but the craftsmanship is on point. Customer service is also amazing. I had a fortune home after my carefree home and I found that they don't even compare. Fortune Homes was falling apart from the start and the carefree home was well built. I miss my carefree home.

We closed on our home today. From start to finish Ruben Valles has been the most amazing and attentive person to work with. He answered his phone even on his days off and honestly showed the most compassion and understanding to us. He has been honest, straightforward and stood by his word. Thank you again Ruben!

The whole process was great, from design center to the meetings with the superintendent. Everything changes once they give you the keys. Save yourself the troubles, warranty department ignores you most of the time. They send people to fix things but end up leaving them worse than before. Some of the things on my first month warranty list have not even been fixed.

THIS IS THE ABSOLUTE WORST COMPANY to build your house in EL PASO, TX. The people they hire are people you would hire from Craigslist. None of them do good work. They charge an unacceptable amount for upgrades that aren’t even done properly. They charged my family OVER $8000 FOR WINDOWS on our house. A STANDARD feature. They LIE and they do this to pay the cheapest price possible. I will NEVER RECOMMEND this company to anyone in El Paso. Even our neighbors have had NOTHING but issues. We MOVED IN WITHOUT A SHOWER DOOR. And for some reason their workers could not get the measurements correct on the door so we waited weeks to have a shower door. If we could have backed out of this sale and got our money back we would have 10,000%. DO NOT RECOMMEND. They have a good rating on BBB and I honestly believe it’s because they make people put their problems as resolved before even trying to work with you. We had so many problems with our house when we moved in. We had to have a plumber come out just to fix the gas pipe for the stove because it was installed improperly and not safe. They say EVERYTHING will be the SAME as the model home GUARANTEED but when I brought up things that were different they said it’s because of “Code” but when I walk through other homes that are being built (SAME MODEL as ours) their stuff is completely different. So who’s house isn’t being built to code? They are so money hungry and REFUSE to work with you on anything. GOOD LUCK! If you plan on buying from this company.

Carefree commented saying we stated two different prices in here and our BBB complaint. The reason the prices are different is because our first change order to pay for the patio door (1) was $3000. When they re ordered the windows INCLUDING the patio door (2) they charged us $5530. Meaning 5530+3000= $8530. They just refuse to admit they were wrong and help the customer that spent 8 months building a home with them.
