Very disappointed with the cost of replacing a single LED fixture. I asked several times what the trip fee would be, and could not get an answer, other than, when the repairman arrives, he will tell you. The cost of my fixture on Amazon is between $15-$20. When the repairman arrived, I was informed that the all-in cost to me for installation and the part would be $220, hence the trip fee would be $200. I found this to be very unreasonable, but I was in need to have the work done, so I reluctantly agreed. I will search for a electric repair service that will tell me up front what my cost exposure is.

Fast, efficient, and reasonably priced for my plumbing issue (toilet repair).They did not try to upsell me any additional services and products other than their membership plan, which was also reasonably priced. Highly recommend for plumbing service.

I was on a maintenance plan with this company, where they would come out twice a year and check my HVAC system. On one of the inspections they told me that I needed a new drain pan under my unit in the attic. It's just tray made of sheet metal, with a fitting at the end that connects to the PVC that drains the pan.

Here's the issue. They wanted to charge me $800 to replace the pan. $800. I declined and was able to buy a replacement pan myself for under $50. Took me about 20 minutes to install it.

Trying to charge me $800 told me all I needed to know about these guys. I canceled my service with them the next day.

Zach my technician did an amazing job, from explaining what he could do to get my water back running to the very execution of doing so. Very friendly and knowledgeable.

Richard of Universal Home Experts did a great job assessing our electrical needs, answering our questions, and explaining the suggested solutions. He was very professional and helpful. We truly enjoyed his service.

Tony was very helpful in finding out where the leak was coming from and fixing the issue. Also found another problem with my other bathroom toilet and fixed that issue also. Then the other guy came and fixed the hole in the ceiling and painted it too. Can’t say enough about how glad I am to have everything done in a couple of hours. Thanks 🙏🏾

Made appointment for AC HVAC annual maintenance with a 4 hr window (noon -4pm) using the "digital assistant" that answered phone. Received text to confirm apt. Took time off work for apt. When I called at 3:45 to check on eta, Chris answered, told me to hold. After brief hold, Jeff answered and promised to call me back with eta. At 4:55 called back got digital assistant and was told manager would follow up as soon as possible. It has been 3 days, no follow up. Very disappointed I wasted 4 hrs for a no show and no follow up!

For a week centerpoint energy and city of houston kept giving us the run around all without electricity I make a call to them and the whole staff were right on top of everything. Professional, nice, reassuring, understanding. Came out the same day and got the ball rolling. Awesome team !!! Thank you Liz Bowen willie and victor! Great job

Zach did an amazing job! He was quick and an expert at what he was doing. Let me briefly share how I ended up with this company! I am a Christian and one day I needed a plumber! I didn’t know who to use because there are so many plumbers out there! One morning, after dropping my daughter off from school, I saw a van with Universal Home Experts and I sent a text! It’s a sign to use this company! SO HAPPY I sent that text! Very honest, professional, fair and got the job done beautifully for me! Thank you God for sending your helper when I needed most.

Marco and Richard did an excellent job on installing a new water heater. Marco explained in details of there process and how they will get the water out. Keep in mind my house is an old house and the old water heater was 2003. They showed up on time and ready to work. Great job universal home expert they are definitely experts and very patient and polite!

Top Customer Service. Everyone super friendly today. while installing our canned lights. Their service was also very fast. We certainly be using Universal again:)

After 30 years, my hallway restroom needed the wax ring to be replaced and I selected and used universal home experts technician Patrick F, He was very knowledgeable. Explain exactly what he was going to do. After reviewing the problem of the leak at the base of my restroom toilet in the hallway, he arrived promptly and replaced the wax ring in a timely manner. Because of his expertise I would Recommend universal home experts to my friends and family & use them for all my repairs regarding my electrical and plumbing needs.

A toilet wax ring can last as long as the toilet itself, which is usually around 30 years. However, some recommend replacing it every 10 to 20 years to ensure it's performing optimally.

Richard was the electrical technician. Very knowledgeable, explained options and pros and cons of each. Would recommend him and Universal without hesitation.

The plumbing service I received was satisfactory. The technician Marco arrived promptly and discussed my options after
assessing the problem with the water filtration system that leaked and caused water damage to the cabinet floor. I decided to get rid of the water filtration system and he carefully uninstalled my reverse osmosis unit without any issues. He made sure that there were no leaks and cleaned up after he got done. I appreciate the professionalism and skillful work of the technician.

Installed one brand new LG toilet and attached bidet. Also repaired a second toilet ...replaced with new O ring ECT and attached a bidet. Great clean up and removal of all trash as well as old toilet. Technician was respectful and worked within a timely manner.

Vicente did an excellent job installing three new faucets in the kitchen and master bathroom. The second faucet in the kitchen was an eSpring water filtration system that I wanted installed under the counter, so he had to re-route some plumbing and alter the cold water supply. Great work, Vicente. Thanks, Universal. Two great technicians in one day. Very satisfied.

We’ve been customers and members for a while and I’ve changed my 5 star review to a 1 star review because they have switched their phone lines to AI and you can’t ever reach anyone to ask a question. They originally had amazing customer service and it made us return to them for services, but not anymore. We should be able to contact someone to ask about services & equipment we have had installed and sadly can’t.
