The only reason they did not get a 5 star is because the scheduling people never put notes on my job (asked for 2pm or later) and the service tech showed up 2 hours early (not his fault) ANDREW G was nothing but amazing! He put in the extra time to communicate to me what he was talking about and fixed my issue! He deserves a raise! Thank you Andrew, you are the reason for the 4 stars!

Spencer checked my HVAC. He gave a detailed list of what was needed to maintain a great working system in order to keep our home warm in the winter and cool in the summer. I recommend DUN-RITE HVAC to looking for repairs or replacement a HVAC replacement and duct work. Great Job DUN-RITE

Michael checked and cleaned both of our units and went over all issues and concerns. He was very thorough and answered all of our questions. We were extremely pleased with his work and would highly recommend DunRite if you’re looking for a trustworthy HVAC company.

ZACH was great !! He worked with me quite well!! Though I was , at first, happy with the service. I was disappointed later on this evening when I discovered that my furnace had malfunctioned. It stopped heating. Heater coils stopped working prematurely-- before the gas could be ignited. I called both DUNRITE and CANARDS and left messages. NO ONE RESPONDED. Now the net result of my DUNRITE Fall maintenance call is a night without a functioning furnace.

Andrew was a very knowledgeable service technician. He answered all of our questions concerning our 10 month old Lennox AC/Heating system and made several improvements (surge protectors) to help prevent unexpected future damage. We will certainly recommend Andrew to friends and family whenever they need professional heating/AC services…

I do not recommend using this company. In late spring, Dun-Rite recommend we replace our older AC unit, so we did. Less than two months after the new unit was installed, it began to run continuously and was unable to get the house lower than 78 degrees. We had a Dun-Rite technician come out and, he determined that there wasn’t enough coolant, so he added some. About a month later, the same problem persisted. Another technician came out and determined that it was an air flow problem, so they cut an additional vent in the wall to increase the flow. Needless to say, it did not work. Yet again, a technician came out. This time he determined that there was in fact a coolant leak.

There were three instances when they showed up without an appointment. Those were all during the workday, so of course we were not home. There was one instance when we had an appointment, and we had to cancel because it was 5PM, and they still hadn’t shown. Overall, Dun-Rite employees set foot on our property a total of 10 times over the span of 4 months before this problem was resolved.

I spoke with many different individuals from their office, and they were apologetic enough when there was a scheduling oversight. However, there seems to be a serious communication breakdown between their office and their techs. Add this to their tech’s failure to diagnose a coolant leak, and it makes for a very frustrating situation.

We replaced two old units at 21 years old. The crew that helped us, were way beyond our expectations. Work ethic, extremely impressive. We had difficulties with 21 year old wiring, which was not up to today's bulding code. There were challenges to overcome and they did so with drive and enthusiasm . The guys definitely live up to their company name "Dun-Rite".
By far the best customer service I've ever experienced. THAN YOU GUYS !!!! Gavin,Jackson,Carl, supervisors, Lucas and Spencer, electrician Chris.....

DunRite bought out the original company we bought our AC from. My AC is only 11/2 yrs old. This was the first maintenance due to the buy out. He comes in and tells us 3 things are wrong with the outside unit. And one of them is according to him the only part NOT covered under a warranty.HOW IS THAT POSSIBLE. So we have to pay 1000$ to fix this stuff that should not have been a problem with a new system. It’s never happened before in the last 45 yrs we’ve owned homes. This stuff should have all been fixed under warranty.

Mark, the technician who came to inspect the system, was very professional, punctual, and friendly. He provided all the necessary explanations, showing me photos to support his explanation. He also answered all my questions and offered me options for the problems I need to solve. Great job!

Andrew first took a look at our unit, talked with me about when it was purchased and installed, etc. He was very thorough in his inspection and cleared an alarm that had recently shown up on our thermostat. He explained the alarm and how he fixed it. The inspection was very thorough, and he kindly provided us detailed explanations, pictures and options for a few things and quotes that offered us various options to proceed.

Problem don’t get fixed. Three week later when it’s freezing it happened again. Tech was nice. They’re trying. Might be more of a Trane product issue than the tech. Not sure. But when it goes out and it’s freezing, that’s no good.

Update—still not fixed. Next tech came and left with no warning, no time to say wait because calls go straight to voice mail. Wasting my time trying to get them to get a new expensive Trane system to work as well as a 20 year old cheap system.

I’ll update when they get it right but so far this is the worst service imaginable on an overpriced lemon.

Our heat went out right when the temperatures dropped outside. I was thinking we would have to tolerate the discomfort for a few days while we waited to find a solution. Luckily, I was very wrong! Jeff and Tim came out within a couple of hours from my initial call and fixed the issue with ease, all while making sure I understood what the issue was and what preventative measures could be implemented to stop it from happening again in the future. HVAC Technicians like Jeff and Tim are the reason that I won’t use anyone else other than Dunrite. They were efficient, friendly, and honestly some really kind and chill dudes. Thank you both for saving us from an icy death! 🥶

I’ve used Dunrite since I bought my house in 2019 and never had concerns until today and I am extremely disappointed. I had an appointment window of 12-4pm, scheduled on 12/3. At 9:49am I received a text my service tech was in the way. I texted back with a screenshot of my confirmed time window. Then, I called to let them nobody was at the house or could be here since we planned on 12-4. I was told by the lady that answered that she didn’t know if they would be able to make it back so I may have to reschedule. I reiterated I had a confirmed appointment window beginning almost two hours later and that if I was required to reschedule because they wanted to come early and I wasn’t able to be there then I would take my business elsewhere. I am a very busy professional that has obligations outside the home and absolutely have to plan. I thought I had done that by ensuring someone would be at the house by noon. Again, she said she didn’t know if they could be there by noon. I said I understand that it’s a window and someone would be available at the house between 12-4 as scheduled and confirmed, and what I planned for. After the circular conversation several times. I said one more time that if they didn’t make it this afternoon as scheduled I would take my business elsewhere even though I’m a loyal long term customer thanked her and hung up. A little later I also emailed back on the email with that was sent when the appointment was made, though nobody responded to that either. Unfortunately, nobody ever showed up. With that, I will take my business to a more reliable company that can be trusted to keep a scheduled, confirmed appointment. As I take my business it means they lose three homes since I also have my mom’s condo and our home in Leonard as a part of my account as well. As I said, I am extremely disappointed and will not reschedule with them nor give them anymore money. I regret that I’ve given them so much already, including blowers on two units.

Update: changing my review from 1 star to 4 stars. I still have concerns that need more time and more experience to alleviate.

After I wrote my initial review Dun Rite reached out to me and, after discussing my negative experiences, I elected to continue my relationship with the company. The woman I spoke with (sorry, do not remember her name) was very courteous and professional. We rescheduled the services that I had canceled and, although the price was high, the services were satisfactorily completed.

Dun Rite (DR) bought out Canard’s in BenbrookTX. I have used DR for the past two years. This past spring a technician came out to perform a routine maintenance check up. He tried to sell me a new HVAC system which I did not need. Skip to late October 2025 and they came out for the second routine maintenance. This time I only needed a new capacitor and my attic unit needs cleaning. I got an estimate and agreed to have these services done. Never heard back from the technician until a week ago and someone showed up at my house unannounced. It wasn’t scheduled and I received no call telling me they were coming out. On top of that DR called to schedule the routine maintenance that had just been completed. I called today to find out why no one had rescheduled these services. I got a lot of ‘I’m sorry sir” statements and was told that they could come out next week M-W any time before thanksgiving. Well, anytime did not include Tuesday as they have meetings that morning. I decided to cancel all services. Their communication skills are horrible at best. I prepaid for two more routine maintenance calls and I want a refund, yet after 10 calls I am either cut off or get a voicemail message. I don’t want to have to go there in person but I may have to.

Gavin @ Dun-Rite did an excellent job troubleshooting our clothes dryer appliance issue. He was professional, friendly, and prompt. He also respected our property and gave me some steps to take to correct and prevent future issues. 100% recommend using Dun-Rite for appliance repair. We will use them again in the future if needed. Thank you!

Andrew inspected the whole system and gave me a lot of information and helped me make decisions regarding what had to be replaced and what could just be cleaned. He offered good suggestions and I felt that he was honest and not pushy at all. Immediately booked his team to clean out our system and replace a couple of parts.

Had an excellent experience with Dun-Rite HVAC. I was contacted the morning of my appointment with a time window, and my technician arrived on time. His work was quick and very professional. I especially appreciated how he gave multiple options with quotes and did not feel pressured in any way to choose a particular option. Mark Walding was my tech and would absolutely recommend him and his work!

Over the years we have done business with many HVAC companies and this has been the best experience. Technician was Antonio and installer was Garrison.

First, several issues were identified and even resolved during initial visit to quote a multi stage AC unit. Second, fair price, rapid scheduling, and good installation. Improvements to the 2nd system were included, as well as WiFi thermostats.

Third, and key to me, was that their team did a post project review and identified an oversight on a zone control board. Note, the original installer of the multi stage furnace didn’t even have the correct board (Dring/On-Time). Most customers would have never known they were not getting the best from their system. The board was ordered and installed- set up, at no cost to me. I appreciate that they take their work seriously and are so professional. The job was not complete until thoroughly reviewed as correct by their full team (I.e. not just the installers who are dealing with a lot at the time). Trust is well-placed and we will continue to place that trust in Dun-Rite.

Absolutely the best experience I could have had in the wake of a horrible and inconvenient break down. Response time was extremely fast, but I was most of all impressed with the integrity and honesty of their technicians. They will not try to sell you something you do not need, and will patiently explain the problem and the most efficient solution.

Friendly, fast, reliable. Paul diagnosed the problem, which was something we expected, but ignored as long as we could. He is honest, trustworthy, and did great work.
