Kevin B with ALAS was great to work with. He was ontime, and very transparent about the problem with our dryer. He then repaired our dryer at a fair price and in quite a timely manner. I don’t want any other appliance problems, but would be pleased to work with Kevin and ALAS again!

We recently had an issue with one of our stove burners—the handle wouldn’t work, and it looked like a major repair was needed. The job required separating the stove top, removing the heavy part, replacing it, and then putting everything back together. Honestly, it looked like a lot of labor, but ALAS handled it flawlessly.

From the very beginning, they impressed me. Before coming out, they asked me to send a picture of the part from underneath the stove so they could order the correct replacement right away—saving everyone an extra trip. Once the part arrived at our home, I called them, and to my surprise, they sent a team the very same day.

Two technicians came, both professionally dressed, polite, and respectful. They even noticed our no-shoes policy and put on protective shoe covers without being asked—a small detail, but one that showed real professionalism and care. The repair itself required two people to lift and maneuver the stove, but they worked seamlessly together and completed the job perfectly.

Now all our burners are back in working order, and every time we use that repaired burner, we’re reminded of the excellent service ALAS provided. Their communication, professionalism, and respect for our home were top-notch.

This company has been awful to work with. A simple fix has taken 7 weeks to be done, because their scheduling and communication has been such a mess. Kevin the technician was excellent - but it is impossible to reach a real person on the phone, and their text communication is spotty and nonsensical.

Kevin Bashir went above and beyond in helping me identify and resolve the issue with my dryer. He demonstrated remarkable persistence, refusing to give up until he uncovered the root of the problem—which turned out to be an entire bird’s nest lodged in the dryer vent. Despite the mess and the hard work it took to clean everything out, Kevin kept a positive attitude and a smile on his face the entire time. His patience, dedication, and professionalism truly stood out, and we deeply appreciate the exceptional service he provided.

Kevin came out to look at my washing machine and assess where leak was coming from. He checked all the connections and confirmed the washing machine was operating properly but showed me where the drain hose was backing up, which is a plumbing issue. Great company and will call them for future appliance repairs.

Horrible experience. Came out on Sept 9th, 2025 for a simple water line repair on a kitchen aide refrigerator. Told me it would be a week before we could get the part and come back to install. I heard nothing for over a month. Called them on October 15th to find a status. Was told they would call me back. It is not the 20th and I have still not received a call back. It’s a great scam if you think about it…. Go to houses, charge a 200 diagnostic, and zero
Follow up to actually repair anything. Also, Technician was mad he had to drive from Plano to Argyle And told me about it several times. Still have yet to receive my refund. Waiting for a call
Back…… go figure.
