Plumbing reviews in Round Rock, Texas

I used to use Mustang Plumbing years ago, then stopped for some reason. I recently contacted them for a job and was reminded why I stopped using them in the first place. I'll spare you the details, but the bottom line is that they didn't do the job they were hired to do, then when I called to follow up and reschedule all I got was excuses, defensiveness and rudeness. In particular, their lead dispatcher Terry has the poorest attitude and provides the worst customer service of anyone I've encountered in the trades. It's a shame - I wonder if the owners realize how much he harms their business. There are so many good service providers out there, so just save yourself the aggravation and disappointment and avoid Mustang Plumbing. They are really not worth dealing with.

Where's Wally?! We had an appointment for Wally at Mustang to come back to our condo yesterday afternoon. We confirmed with Mustang in the mid-afternoon. Wally never showed and never called. At 5 p.m. the answering service took over. It had no way to get in touch with Wally, any other plumber at Mustang, or Mustang management and said it would be after the weekend before we hear from anyone. We are trying to find another plumber this morning because Wally's disappearance and failure to complete the job is impacting our tile project today Oh ... and Wally damaged the dry wall in the guest bedroom on the other side of the shower head. We still have an open ticket with Mustang for future work. We'll find another plumber, thank you. Stay away from Mustang. Poor, poor service.

Problem 1: Found out our builder uses Mustang Plumbing. So glad my builder warranties everything. Whoever installed our bathtub plumbing did a bad job. Leaked everywhere. Wall, tile, and bathtub needed to be repaired. First team came and said "we don't have the tools, good luck with whoever comes next". Everyone is just doing a quick and bad job and letting the company or others fix their mistakes. One of the reasons why Mustand Plumbing is 3 stars.
Problem 2: Our toilet has always been wobbly due to improper installation. Fixed with a wedge temporarily. Well guess what? It leaked. Turns out the wax has almost covered the outlet and when attempting to unclog the toilet water would leak out. Tile pieces were in the way of the screws and nails. Surprised I didn't find a beer can under there.
I would never hire them, but can't choose my builders contractors. The attitude of the workers also doesn't help. Workers also tried to have a conversation with me and complaining/badmouthing women with an smoke arouma floating around them. Highly disappointed. -
My Builder used Mustang Plumbing to do the plumbing for my new built. The plumbing was done wrong and they had to jack hammer the foundation, while they jack hammered it they broke the tension cable. Didn't even disclose it, I found out that was done when a neighbor showed me pictures after we closed on the house.
During the freeze my tank less water heater busted and I know that wasn't their fault but I got a lot of water damage because when they installed the water heater they clogged the drain pipe and they left it like that so the water overflowed from the attic down to the 2nd and 1st floor and they won't take any responsibility and said it was due to weather. This water heater is less than 6 months old and they don't want to warranty it but wanted to charge me $400 just to come out and tell me that is broken and not even deduct that charge on a new tank less water heater. She said that is the fee for them to come out and just tell me it’s broken. I would highly recommend not using this company as they have caused a lot of damage on my new home. -
I have worked with several plumbers in My Home owning years and I don’t think I ever had anyone as awesome as Preston. He was quick to find the issue and during the whole process he told me what he was doing, what he was looking at, what he was fixing and I honestly couldn’t have gotten through this issue without him. Being that we haven’t even owned a home for two months and water was leaking through the ceiling you could’ve imagined my frustration. Preston easily calmed that with his friendly vibes and quick assurance that it would all be repaired. You all have a star working for you and I hope if I ever need to call back I can request him to show up.

We had the best experience with Mustang Plumbing. Our water heater went out only after 15 months. The service men came out and replaced it with a brand new one because the one that went out had been installed incorrectly. The service men were courteous and professional. Mustang Plumbing stands behind their work. I highly recommend them.

Having them come out to a new build 3 times and still not fixing the issue is a HUGE problem. Got a call from the scheduler and she was just rude and didn't seem like she wanted to schedule the appointment along with possibly having a bad day which is not my problem. Do not recommend this company but unfortunately I'm locked in with them till my warranty is out.

I am convinced that Rheem recently produced some faulty water heater components. As a result, Mustang Plumbing has been to our house at least 4 times now to service our two water heaters. Each time they have come out, their technicians have happily explained the situation and worked hard to resolve the problem. Preston deserves a special shout out, as he is obviously very knowledgeable and goes the extra mile to make sure the problem has been resolved. Great people, great company.

Called Mustang plumbing on a emergency call due to closed toilets. The tech on call called me almost immediately to inform me of when he could get out to repair it. They were all very upfront about when he would arrive and everything. It took them a day to come out and fix it but they always kept me in the loop. Once here the tech fixed the Clog. The whole process they were very professional and worked hard to make sure I was happy and the problem was fixed.

Robert from Mustang Plumbing came and repaired out shower valve. He did a great job and he has been to our house several other times for other projects and has always done a grea job. Great man to have on the job.

This is the company our builder contracted with to do the plumbing on our new house. If your builder is wanting to use them, I would definitely demand an alternative plumbing contractor. The week before we were supposed to close on our house our hot water heater blew up and caught on fire. They did come out and fix it but left the cover off and have not come back out to check the lines or give us any reason the hot water blew up in the first place. We were lucky other workers were here and were able to put the fire out before it did additional damage. When we moved into the house the guest bathroom shower wouldn't drain. We have now been here a month and it still won't drain. I used the garbage disposal once. It blew up after running for less than 10 seconds. The biggest issue though is that they connected all the water to the house through our well; not the water softener system that was put in to make sure we didn't have to deal with all the issues hard water has with appliances, showers, etc. We have reached out to our builder who has in turn reached out to Mustang multiple times. We have had no response and no one has showed up to try and fix any of the above issues.
***After writing this review the company did reach out and their service department was awesome. (This is a different side from the install department) The guy that came out was great! He fixed all the issues we were having. Made sure everything worked correctly. He followed up on ordering additional parts for things that were needed. The office was fast at scheduling for them to come back and finish. Such a different experience from what we had initailly. I will use the service department with no hesitation in the future. -
Had some workers work on tile had to remove the toilet with a bidet couple days later Mustang shows up for warranty to put the toilet back, but they can’t because a bidet attached. Understand kinda… but any company reading this don’t contract with mustang. Get a company that can do everything!!!

When I woke up this morning and found I had a leak in my roof about a year and a half after buying my home, I was a little worried about how much it was going to cost to fix. I called Mustang and told them the issue and they had a worker out here in less than an hour. Preston arrived and was very professional, down to earth, and quickly addressed the issue. He finished everything really quick, cleaned up the area, and even made sure to contact the builder and let them know all the repairs on the sheetrock should be covered under warranty. I truly appreciate Preston and his outstanding level of care for my repair. I’ll definitely be calling Mustang again for any issues or upgrades in the future. Great work Preston!

Edit: I wanted to provide an update to my current dealings with Mustang Plumbing. For the 3rd time now Mustang has had to come out to dig up my drive way and front yard to replace the entire sewer line to my home. Every single time this has had to happen is because the sewer pipe was laid at the wrong grade and sewer water was backing up into my home and others. The sheer lack of care, quality, and poor workmanship is astounding and Mustang continues to blame anyone else but themselves for this.
Do not use this company if you can avoid it. The sewer line to my house backed up and was flooding my home with raw sewage and sewer water. I called the number the builder for my new home gave me and the operator told me they would not send someone out to my home because I mistakenly believed my home was not under warranty. Even after pleading with the operator that this is an emergency and that my home was currently flooding the operator said they won't send a technician out to my house. I spent the next hour and a half trying to find a plumber for an after hours emergency call. I fully believe if Mustang had sent a tech out when I called my home would not have flooded to the extent that it did. I now have no flooring in my home and there are whole portions of dry wall that had to be ripped out because of the damage caused and Mustang's negligence. -
This truck lost one of their PVC pipes on 45 early Thursday morning. It bounced and hit my window. Driver did not stop and company is yet to return my call or respond to my email request.

We are not the type of people
that write a review without feeling the necessity to do it. Because this is of interest to potential new clients, I feel it is imperative to write this review. To begin, the company sent a new and inexperienced technician, we had to tell technician to please call the main office to look at the notes from the previous technician since the issue that they took care of in the past arose again. Our tankless heater is high on our property wall, so we provided a ladder. Technician never climbed the ladder, but suggested that in the future, we should hire them to move the tankless heater to a place that was easier for them to look at (in the past no one had complained about this). It was clear the technician was being lazy and wanting to leave, but he did say we needed a flush and that the office would send a quote afterwards. When we first called Mustang Plumbing, they told us that the service fee would be $225 and that it would be credited if we decided to move forward with, whatever service the technician found that would be needed. Mustang Plumbing quoted 600+ to flush the heater, but when my wife called, they conveniently said that they would only credit us half of the initial service fee – investigation fee. I personally replaced the showerhead and the issue was resolved. My wife spoke to them and they were being rude. When she (Courtney) tried to triangulate the call, they had hung up. I then called them directly and while I was speaking to them, the manager got on the line and basically told me that the only issue here is that we need to pay the service fee and that if we would’ve agreed to do the flush, we would’ve gotten 100% of the initial fee credited. I stopped her and let her know that that was not what her team had told us. Her team had told my wife that only 50% credit. As I’m on the phone, she proceeds to start talking to multiple people around her and I can hear them trying to figure this out and what went wrong. I offered her to pay only what was going to be credited and reminded her that the technician did not do anything and that he concluded we needed a service that wasn’t even needed. I hung up the call and 10 minutes later they charge my card for $225 (the full service fee). As a family that tries to make educated decisions and hire, trustworthy companies, this is not the type of company that should be hired for any service. They are not trustworthy, they are clearly not organized and do not communicate with each other. They employ inexperienced people to service the community. -
Tim with Mustang Plumbing did excellent work. He is smart, efficient, friendly, and was able to explain everything to me in a way I could easily understand. When he arrived at my property my front yard and my neighbors was a disaster, due to the sewage leak. It was awful! He got the necessary parts immediately and took care of a broken grinder ejection line in little time, considering how big the mess was. I highly recommend him, he is excellent!

If they have done the plumbing on your new build home make sure to inspect everything, including pipes. They do a terrible job and have terrible customer service.

I recently had an issue with my shower faucet handle leaking, and Mustang Plumbing was there to help. After I called, they arrived at my house within 30 minutes, which was impressive. The plumber was professional and quickly fixed the problem. I am very satisfied with their service and will definitely use them again in the future. Highly recommend!

Meshach from Mustang Plumbing has been outstanding in fixing our toilet and bathroom sink warranty issues for our new Westin home. He is very meticulous in diagnosing, explaining and fixing complex plumbing issues. I highly recommend him for his work.

Meshach from Mustang Plumbing was extremely knowledgeable and friendly. He helped us with a main drain blockage that was left by the construction crew. We only found out about it when trying to get a water softener hooked up. Meshach knew exactly what to do and had everything fixed within no time. We also really appreciated the fact that Mustang Plumbing sends their professionals with all the tools they need so that everything gets fixed in one visit!
