Merry Maids has provided consistently excellent service to us for almost 10 years. We gladly recommend the company to anyone in need of professional cleaning service for home.

At first they were great with flexibility of scheduling but when I requested written documentation via email for the scheduled appointment since they took my card info over the phone and I wanted written documentation of this, they starting acting differently as if I was an inconvenience for wanting written notification. I ended up cancelling within several hours of making the appointment because of this and not ever receiving documentation as requested on two separate occasions. Additionally, when I cancelled and asked for an email confirming cancellation so I knew it was recorded in their system he said "I mean I just did it, it's in the system" and would not send me notification of cancellation to my email.

Very satisfied with all the services I receive from this service. I have had a few years now, when ever I have had any issues (that is very rare), they come back and fix, or make sure to not repeat them in the future. They are always willing to listen and make sure I am a happy customer (I am also a rather particular customer).

So, the cleaning ladies were nice. Very friendly. The two stars are for that. My house was clean but not deep cleaned. Just looked like someone came to tidy it up. The cleaning went over the initial 2 hours due to them cleaning the inside of my appliances. Total cleaning time was 2 hours and 42 minutes which I was charged fairly for. 2 weeks later, Merry Maids tried to charge my card for another $50 WITHOUT my knowledge or consent. They then called (I'm assuming because of the decline) and left a VM. I called back and she said that they were trying to charge me for the 3rd hour. YOU DO NOT CHARGE SOMEONES CARD WITHOUT THEIR CONSENT!! Originally, I was charged appropriately!! Because of this, I will not use this service again.

Do not use them! They are too expensive per an hour and the guy will call you to nickel and dime you for every few minutes afterwards they were there. On top of that they were late. They didn’t even clean off the walls properly like I requested. Left my cabinets dirty and the shower wasn’t even cleaned. I caught on my camera the lady in my basement bath spending a whole hour in the bathroom and still left obvious dog hair everywhere (that bathroom belongs to my dog). So I know they didn’t clean well at all😡!!

Our team is very reliable, thorough and consistent. Management can easily and accurately adapt to changes in the scheduled cleaning day. We've been using this franchise for over 18 years and should have started with them when we first arrived in the area.

Our merry maids team is amazing! We especially love Rosie. They get done fast and well.

This company is nice up until you give them your credit card. I waited for over an hour for the team to arrive. The owner tried to manipulate me into feeling sorry that someone did something wrong with the schedule. He did not offer a discount for his mistake. He just wanted me to say "Oh, OK." This company charges a lot of money per hour for cleaning. So, the least they can do is ensure the cleaning team shows up on time. If not offer a discount and say "I am sorry for your inconvenience." I do not recommend this particular Merry Maids Branch.

I’ve been a customer for years. This past week, Antonia from Merry Maids of Alexandria cleaned our townhome. She made it sparkle and was very kind to our two dogs, who like to follow company around looking for pets.

I reached out to Merry Maids to do a professional deep cleaning of my home. In advance of the Merry Maid team's arrival at my home, I filled out the form that included detailed instructions on the expectation for a deep cleaning, in addition to the size of the home and the number of rooms that needed to be cleaned. Upon arrival, the Merry Maid representative's first question was - how much time do you want us to spend cleaning your home? 1, 2 or 3 hours? My answer was - you tell me, you are the experts. Given the information provided in advance -- how much time does Merry Maid's recommend for a deep cleaning? I received a blank stare. So, we walked through the house together. I showed the team lead each room of the house - where additional attention was needed - specifically glass cabinets and hanging light fixtures. They began work, seeming to understand the job. At the end of the job, which took about 2 hours -- the light fixtures had not been cleaned or dusted, there were coarse hairs on the bathroom vanity that were not mine. It was clear that old cleaning materials or towels from a previous service had been used as there was a foul, sour smell (that persisted for days) in all three bathrooms that were cleaned. I alerted the company to the issues. They billed my credit card. They got paid. But there has been zero follow-up.

Rosa and Irma have cleaned our house for over a year now and do an excellent job every time. They are thorough, friendly, prompt, and make the extra effort to ensure the house is sparkling. We have appreciated getting to know Rosa and Irma over the last year and would recommend them to anyone. Excellent service. - Jen S.

"Ana does an excellent job of cleaning every part of our house. She is on time and puts forth a great effort to see that every room gets its proper attention. If we didn't have Ana, we would drop the service, she's that good. Ana is a very pleasant person who comes a long distance to clean our house from top to bottom. Keep her, she's a gem.".

We had a great experience. Communication was easy with the office and Mirna & Raquel made sure to confirm what we wanted cleaned upon arrival. They are very professional and did a great job cleaning. We will definitely use them again.

My cleaner is very sweet and efficient". Today, the clean was pretty intensive as I am completing the renovation of my one bathroom. She did an excellent job.
