Excellent Service - We have had the same tech each time for cleaning - very polite and explains all that he is doing or has done. I will continue to use them. We get our HVAC unit cleaned 2X a year. Office staff is always very friendly as well. What a great team!

My service rep Eric was friendly but unqualified to diagnose & repair my unit. He told me that my HVAC unit was damaged by the company that laid my patio concrete May 2023, because he noted that in his report my warranty department would not cover the repair. The next day I called another company, Chesapeake Heating & Cooling to get a second opinion, they sent out 2 technicians a day later. Chesapeake Heating & Cooling diagnosed my issue and told me that the unit was not installed properly when the house was constructed (I asked if there was anyway that the patio company could have caused the damage and both technicians said “no, it would have been nearly impossible for the patio company to have caused this”). I am glad I got a second opinion and qualified technicians to diagnose & fix my HVAC unit. My warranty department will now reimburse me for the repairs. I cannot in good concise recommend MEPs to family and friends because of my personal experience.

Willie was very professional in inspecting our shower and hot water issue.

My husband and I love that he did not try to upsale us on repairs once his inspection was done, but rather, he advised us that we just had some home maintenance to stay up to date on with smart homes. Very useful information.

We will definitely be returning for his recommended annual tankless water heater maintenance services.

    Great service!

I always like to see and believe the good in people. But the more I live is the more that scripture: The love of money is the root of all evil resonates with me.

My children and I had gone 3-4 weeks without AC. In the process we endured temps ranging between 88-89 degrees in my home, under a few heat advisories. Finally, MEP came out this Saturday to replace a valve that was causing my system to malfunction - a system that I'm assuming was new at the time of closing on my brand new home a little over 2 years ago. In any event, the tech came out, replaced the valve and in a matter of a few hours my unit was back in business. Dropped the temp in my house all the way down to my desired temp - 69 degrees. Initially, I was so thankful to MEP for fixing it. I also credited the regional manager for contacting me in the absence of Kim (scheduler) to send a tech out far sooner than the date Kim scheduled. Plus, as a disabled veteran the heat was exacerbating certain conditions, causing me to become physically sick. So to have my system back up and running was a relief!

Well that was short lived. Approximately
2 a.m. (Monday) I had woken up and decided to turn the system off because it was ice cold in here. Several hours later, I went to turn it back on and saw an error code stating, the R wire has no power, preventing me turning the unit back on. So I did some research to understand what it meant and the list of possible solutions, all of which are simple fixes. But because I do not have the resources to do it myself I contacted MEP. I spoke with Beth who wasted no time telling me that Larry said the issue has nothing do with the valve replacement, to then want to charge me more money to come out and replace the thermostat. The way she responded to me was as if I was insinuating one had something to do with other…talking to me like I’m dumb. And as if I was insinuating the tech caused this issue. I was not! As any person would say, considering MEP deals with hundreds of customers and the fact that someone had just come out to repair one problem, I was simply providing a history of events. But she kept insisting that “Larry said”…So now my position has changed. So because Larry said so that automatically means that what he said is truth? I followed the tech around, except for up in the attic, so I don’t know what he did while he was up there. Overall, he seemed like a pretty good guy, but I don’t know him to speak to his character, and say what he would and would not do. I do know that his interest is not in my favor, but in the favor of MEP. I also know that I did not have an any issues with my thermostat until after the repair. And speaking of thermostat, I referenced a conversation that Kim and I had back in June ( the same day I scheduled someone to come out and diagnose the issue with my unit). I had explained to her that in 2 years time I still hadn’t learned how to fully operate my thermostat. She then volunteered to send out “a different, more user friendly thermostat, free of charge.” And this was long before this error code appeared on the thermostat. But according to Beth, after their checking their system, no note exists, which makes me look dishonest. And like I’m just trying to get over. Evidently, Kim was just blowing smoke up my a$$ to pacify me and keep me from pestering her with more calls.
To sum it up, I am big on integrity and honoring commitments. It builds trust and long lasting relationships. So if you say you’re going to do something, honor your word. Second, it’s morals over money with me. They had just made money fixing one problem. Why try to overcharge me for an issue that doesn’t take much to fix? You be good with your customers and they will be loyal to you. I have a family to provide for as well. I don’t have money like that to keep dishing out hundreds of dollars for a system and its components that should not be malfunctioning this early in the game.

Willie came to our new home to take a look at our water heater! He immediately found the issue and repaired. He was kind, courteous and very knowledgeable! Pleasure to deal with!

We called MEP around 2 weeks ago on a Saturday because our thankless water heater was throwing an error code for ignition error. They sent out an electrician instead of a plumber who had to call the plumber to be told how to fix the issue. He fixed the ignition issue but out water heater has been leaking since. They sent someone else out and he said he couldn't figure out where it was leaking from. Now we are emptying buckets a day. We called them again, someone was supposed to be out today and then we are told he can't make it today. Super frustrated and ready for it to be fixed correctly!

Whoever is driving van 229 in Hampton this morning needs their license revoked. I know who exactly not to call if I ever need repairs.

Austin and Willie were professional and knowledgeable. Austin completed the routine service on our AC. Willie completed the routine maintenance of our tankless water heater. Great work and they explained everything needed to ensure things run properly. Thanks!

I would not hire this company just based on the drivers they have. It's New Year's Eve, about 7:20 on 664, and the first mep vehicle rode our rear and flashed their lights repeatedly before speeding past us, had to have been going over 80mph. The second vehicle got behind us and rode us before also speeding past us going 80 or over. This seems to be a recurring issue with this company, the incredibly rude and unsafe drivers.

Today around 3:30 in Suffolk, VA had an older gentleman in a white Ford F150 with the MEP LLC logo all over the truck try to block me from coming over when using my turn signal and giving proper time to change lanes. After getting over and him honking at me and telling me I am number 1. He proceeded to get beside me and call me a human sphincter. If this is who they hire for working and having as the face of the company. I would not recommend it.

Bert Trojanowski arrived on time and remounted my porch ceiling fan with the assistance of the Ryan Homes Warranty Team and it works perfectly! He also checked out the circuit for our living room but was unable to replicate the breaker tripping so it will need to be watched. He was very personable and detailed in his work. An asset to the MEP organization!

MEP is an excellent company. The technicians are very knowledgeable and professional. We just had our HVAC serviced and the technician, Mike Baggett did an excellent job helping us with our heating issues.

Can’t speak for their work but this is for the aggressive driver of van 107-138 flying up I-64 , off to Indian River onto Ferrell. Young buck was in a rush to get to wawa, not even to fuel up. In the 2 years of taking this route with my daughter I’ve never had to pull off on the interstate to get away from an impatient and erratic driver. Dangerously cutting in and out of lanes in morning traffic just to end up at a Wawa. Incident noticed 1/19/23. I advise investigating this driver regardless of position held or work shown.

Terrible, I have been trying to get a quote for over 3 months on a large industrial heat recovery system, today they tell me that they are just going to exit out of this, wasted 3 months, wish they would have just been up front and said it was something they couldn’t handle

Very bad experience ,bought the entire system , it came missing almost $750 in parts , they gave me a installer that did wrong , had to pay twice , after all I asked to return a controller that I was not able to use they said no . Please think twice before buying from the sales person Matt Angelo . There is an engineer very nice that helped me his name is Mark , I hope the owner can see what his employees are doing . Left behind a costumer that only asked for fair treatment .

This heater is supposed to heat
200 sq ft. It won’t even heat a pill box. I will return it and ask for a refund.

Mark Sonja is one of the best person's I have dealt at hotspot energy. Every time I call, he is always there to answer my questions. Have a great regard for people like Mark. Even after purchasing 2 units of the ACDC12 a couple of years ago, I still get a great service. I am grateful to all who make this possible at this business. A big "Thanks of appreciation to Mark and his team".

Hot Spot Energy is a manufacturer and distributor of super efficient HVAC systems such as the CX34 hydronic heat pump for home and business. They claims were just about unbelievable, but they just got AHRI certification! They also sells a high efficiency portable AC unit, hotel room high efficiency PTAC systems, solar pool heating systems, solar panels, heat exchangers to maximize your existing AC unit by heating your hot water tank. The innovation is quite outstanding.
