Good company, David, the owner will go above and beyond to do a good job. Highly recommended. I needed a new HVAC unit and it was installed on time and on the budget. The price was good and the quality of work, service and equipment excellent.

David completed HVAC work for the office that I work in and the difference is night and day. We now have digital thermostats and consistent heating and cooling throughout the office. I highly recommend David and the Comfort Defender team!

Called for gas fireplace service and the technician arrived but was not very friendly. Asked minimal questions and did not analyze the problem well, simply re-lit the pilot light and provided no additional information as to what the problem may be. The pilot light still goes out and needs service. Called the office to advise that this was not a good experience and they offered a refund but it has not yet been received. Do not recommend this company for gas fireplace service

David arrived in a timely manner. Respectful of the property, diagnosed the issue with the gas fireplace, shared details of the problem and recommended replacement. Courteous and professional, looking forward to use the company's service for installation of the new unit.

Had a great experience with this company very respectful and friendly. They showed up on time, explained everything clearly and fixed the issue without trying to upsell me. Very honest very detailed contractor!
The first I would go with a service plan. He told me what they are doing in the Spring and Autumn, which far exceeds other competitors, who were often just changing some air filters and then rushing to the next customer.
We had them for a repair today and the owner found two leaks within minutes, where others claimed not being finding it and trying to sell us a new unit. The invoice was very, very reasonable.

Comfort defenders was great! We had an issue with our heater not working at all in the winter time and another company came to try and fix it first and was unsuccessful. We thankfully found comfort defenders and they came on short notice and fixed the problem right away ! David was very knowledgeable and explained exactly the issue and helpful tips for managing our system moving forward.

Comfort Defenders performed several jobs at our house, inlcuding adding a combustion air vent, cleaning our dryer vent from point of entry to point of exit, doing a comprehensive cleaning of our humidifer, and more. Their communication is outstanding and their service is pormpt! It is easy to communicate with office staff and, aso, to get answers to questions. Furthermore, they provide a detailed clear estimate and invoice. I will definitely continue to use their services and highly recommend them!

I don’t typically write reviews but wanted to say it was a pleasure to work with Comfort Defender; David, Sadaf and team were fantastic! I found the entire process of getting estimates for a new HVAC for a small townhome extremely overwhelming, but David took a lot of time to help educate and explain things to me without being short or pushy. Woke up to my furnace making a screeching noise and smelling of burning plastic. Called comfort defender first thing in the morning and David was able to come in the afternoon the same day after I got off work. I was even running late due to commuting from DC to Fairfax and they waited 20min for me to arrive. My unit is 25+ years old and they had a replacement blower motor in their truck, fixed the issue in less than half an hour for a very affordable price. David explained the issue very simply so I could understand and gave me various options on what I could do. Next time I have any heating and air issue, Comfort Defender will be my first call.

Excellent service from start to finish. The team replaced our water heater efficiently and professionally. They explained the process clearly, arrived on time, and left the area clean when they were done. The new unit works perfectly, and we noticed an immediate improvement. Highly recommend their work.

In the middle of the brutal cold snap (in the teens), and after the snow-then-ice storm of 2026, Comfort Defender came through!

Right around as the snow and ice was tapering off, my daughter smelled gas, and the gas company immediately came out and turned off the gas. Great, but with temperatures bottoming out in the teens, there was no heat in the house. So we called around, and despite the bad roads and there being almost no place to park in the ice and snow, Comfort Defenders came out, diagnosed my very old system (1990s?) and we decided we needed re-piping, rewiring, and a new dual-fuel system (heatpump/gas furnace backup).

Within 24 hours Comfort Defender somehow got the truck backed in over the ice. They cut and shoveled enough ice and snow to make a path to the old outdoor compressor and removed it, leaving the hoses they would need for the new system. Within hours the furnace part was installed. We then got the gas company (after bugging them three times) to finally come out. They checked out the new piping and turned the gas back on. The new piping was not only perfectly done, with new valves and fittings, but Comfort Defenders installed it where it should have been in the first place. Finally heat in the house.

A week later, when the snow was mostly gone, Comfort Defenders came out and installed the heatpump and new thermostat, plus a whole-house humidifier.

I can't believe how responsive David and his excellent crew were to our needs. The weather was very cold, just when everybody started having furnace problems. There was snow and ice and many roads were nearly impassible. My driveway was almost all ice and snow. Despite that, they came out within hours, explained all my options honestly, and delivered an expertly installed system. They even fixed problems the previous HVAC company) had created. All patiently and honestly explained. All resonably priced (in a field I have experienced in the past to have plenty of fast-talking price-padding for bad work and unnecessary expense). Five-plus stars and cold-weather-hero awards to David and his excellent crew!

While everyone else told me they couldn’t get me on the books for several days, Comfort Defender diagnosed the issue immediately. They gave me honest options—repairing the blower motor or replacing the full system. Given the age of my unit, I chose to upgrade, and they had a brand-new Trane Dual Fuel system (Heat Pump and Furnace) installed the very next day!
