Very happy with our new tankless water heater. Matt went above and beyond to help us get a replacement for the old one that had died on short notice. He even was patient enough to let us get a few more quotes even though it meant that we didn't give final confirmation until the night before the scheduled install. Charles did an excellent job installing the new heater and answered all of my (many) questions. Everyone I interacted with was helpful and polite, especially Robin who always made sure she called me to keep me informed throughout the process. All in all, it was a great experience.

It was almost a full time job to find a company that would quote me a reasonable price to install new HVAC. After surveying a number of companies Lighthouse Mechanical was the only company that gave me me a reasonable price. Their technicians (Jake and Charles) were professional, on time and true craftsman! Lighthouse did an excellent job and I would recommend them to all of my friends and family!

Lighthouse put one of my heat pumps in previously. At that time the owner was an estimator and he treated me like I was royalty.
I knew one day he would own the company...and he actually still gives estimates. Tim is a "working owner"
That is what I love to see in any business.
The technician, Charles is a great employee...he is informative, respectful and pleasant to talk with. He answered all of my questions and is a great listener. He takes his time with you and treats you with respect. He shows up on time or earlier and calls in advance if the time frame changes.
I highly Recommend this company.
And no, I am not getting paid to say the above...lol

We had our AC go out at the end of August 2020. Lighthouse Mechanical Heating and Cooling came over for a whole house generator estimate. They gave me a great deal for both new AC and Hearing install and a whole house generator. I am so very pleased with the job they did. I would highly recommend this company to anyone. We are happy with both of our new units. Great job Lighthouse!!!

Have been working with Lighthouse Mechanical for 14 years. Bought new gas-fired Trane Heating, AC and Rannai Tankless water heating systems. The group put in new duct work. Tim and has installation team did excellent work. I enjoy seeing the maintenance guys a couple of times a year, talking the latest in energy with them. If you have a complex job and want reliable maintenance, I would highly recommend them.

5 stars+. We had Lighthouse Mechanical replace our downstairs AC unit. Although we had never used them for work in the past, at the recommendation of a neighbor we added them to the list of 3 other contractors for estimates. We found their estimate to be slightly lower than the others and with a better warranty. The quality of their work was outstanding. Their on site workers were on time, polite, professional, and cleaned up as if no one had been here. The service/sales representative did an outstanding job going over the various aspects of the job and comparisons of the various AC units on the market. We especially liked the fact that their service/sales representative came out several days later to walk through the job, making sure we were 100% satisfied with their work and that final payment was not due until the walk through was complete. I would highly recommend them to others and plan on using them for any future heating and cooling needs.

our a/c died at the hottest time of the summer, I had another HVAC company come down to look at it all they wanted to do was keep changing parts till they fixed it I wasn’t pouring money into it until they figured it out.I took a ride down to Lighthouse HVAC and spoke to there GM he told me he would send a tech down asap to assess the situation, after 25 years the best option was to replace.They gave me quotes on a few units, I chose a Trane and 2 days later they had 2 gentleman come in to install . The installers worked non stop in 100 degree heat and not once complained.They started at 9 am and finished at 6 pm installed and operational. I have been enjoying my a/c , the old unit was a 2 on a scale of 1/10. this one is a 10 . More efficient and cools like there’s no tomorrow. If you need a new unit or repairs I highly recommend Lighthouse HVAC . You will not be disappointed, I sure wasn’t

Although I couldn’t get anyone out the same day since it was so late, they promptly showed first thing the next morning. AC was back up and running within 30 minutes, Charles was professional and explained the issue so I could understand. And the young lady that took my call (I believe her name was Emily) was just the sweetest thing! Lighthouse installed my Trane heat pump originally and I’m very pleased with it and the service I’ve received after.

On Monday, Feb 17, 2025, technicians from Lighthouse Mechanical Heating and Air Conditioning, located in Hampton VA, arrived at my home in Poquoson to remove my existing HVAC system and replace it with a new system. The installation team consisted of Jake Pedigo (lead installer) and two other technicians, Tyler Morr and Mike Douglas. I couldn't be more pleased with the results. Their professionalism and job knowledge were awesome. They were neat, polite, and were very knowledgeable in their chosen field of endeavor. I look forward to a long and happy professional relationship with the folks at Lighthouse Mechanical.

Just want to say they fought for me when the manufacture Carrier , didn’t have the part needed to repair my unit which was still under warranty and Carrier had stop making the part! Long drawn out fight to get the part, but they stayed on it with us. Excellent service , and will be our go to contractor for any future work we may need. Also great service crews and office staff as well!

From start to finish Tim Elliott and his team were AWESOME!!!! Tim personally came out to give me an estimate on installation for a new AC UNIT to replace a 20+ year old beast of a system. He was clear, professional and gave the BEST OFFER of 5 companies I received estimates from. He was able to provide great information and answered any and all questions. His team arrived on schedule and worked until the job was done. They were able to troubleshoot and make adjustments as needed. My house is now cool and comfortable and I will be saving so much money on my new energy efficient system. Thanks Tim!!!

A long time ago we used Lighthouse. They sold us a new HVAC and accidentally ordered the 220v version, hooked it up to 115 fried the motor and tried to say it was fine. When they replaced them motor they didn't hook up the drain and flooded our attic.

Absolutely worst experience I've had with an HVAC company. To top it all off the thing didn't cool the house properly.

I was reminded recently when we bought our unit we were also sold an extended warranty. When we went to use the warranty which we were assured was direct from Trane, Trane told us although Lighthouse printed it on what appeared to be official Trane letterhead it wasn't a Trane warranty but rather a lighthouse one. After the above issues we didn't want Lighthouse in our home anymore so the warranty wasn't useful.

First off, was one of two companies who claimed to be 24/7, who actually contacted me on Saturday. Second, they provided options to communicate by text instead of phone.

Once on the scene, the technician promptly identified the problem and offered prices that were in line with industry averages (even if they felt high to me as an electrical technician). The office rep quickly got the part in and coordinated with me to make sure I'd get taken care of before an incoming heat wave.

I am happy with the price I paid and the service I received. While I hope I don't have another A/C failure, Lighthouse will definitely be the first place I call.

The Lighthouse Mechanical Heating and Cooling is not close to the best they are the best. Their installers are without a doubt professionals and they pay attention to ever little detail to give the customer the satisfaction they deserve. I have already rated them five stars because that was the limit but they deserve ten stars. They went above and beyond to get the job done perfectly. Call and they will give you an honest price for what ever your HVAC needs are.

We came home from a 10 day vacation last week and no hot water. We had a Rinnai tankless gas water heater installed in March of last year. The installer, however, is not a Rinnai service pro. Lighthouse Mechanical is the only Rinnai Pro (in Hampton) listed on the website. I had called a couple other places that were listed but they couldn't come for days. Kathy at Lighthouse was able to send a tech within a couple of hours. When the technician arrived he (Charles) was very kind, warm and knowledgeable. He handled the diagnostics and had parts ordered in less than 30 minutes. He also was able to leave our water heater functional while we wait for parts. I plan to use them for any of pur future HVAC or plumbing needs.

We have had great service with our HVAC system installed by Lighthouse Mechanical. We decided to have a whole house generator installed. We chose to have a Kohler brand system. The generator has performed reliably. When it came time for routine maintenance on our HVAC system, the technician also did the maintenance on our generator, providing a short run time of powering the house with the generator. Great service. I heartily recommend Lighthouse Mechanical for everyone wanting or needing HVAC or generator services.
