A while ago I asked for a quote in getting a bathroom installed into my home. They came out twice the first time was a pleasant interaction. However the followup was less so. I emailed and called a few times as I never received a quote, at one point a received a quote for work I didn't even want done. The second time they came back was to confirm what I wanted done and they pushed for me not to get permits, kept asking about other projects in the home and still did not get me a quote with clarity in a timely manner. As a first time homeowner who relies on research and reviews, I would say this company did not act as I believe they should have.

the older gentleman who called me less than 48 hours after the work, that i apologized to for not paying the invoice yet, that i said i was a professor during the last week of classes, AND said i'd send payment that as soon as i got home: zero stars

some people hear an apology/admittance of wrongdoing and realize that you know that you're in the wrong/they dont need to grind their heel into you.

and some people hear an apology and think they can bully you because they perceive it as weakness.

this is very likely the latter.

-did the boys/techs do a good job: hell yes.
-did they show up the day after being called: yes.
-were they polite they whole time AND when handing me a $900 bill: yes.

was the (likely) owner an absolute terror on the phone <2 days later: 100% yes

Theses guys are amazing, my mothers toilet was clogged so we called them and they arrived within the hour. They resolved the issue within minutes, quick and clean, they also added a discount for senior citizens. What more could I ask for "great service and great pricing".

Darren and J did a great job and was speedy as well, amazing workers with great work ethic. Repaired the burst pipes and installed more efficient ones as to not have any future problems. This is my second time having Darren and first time having Jay come help with an issue I needed fixed but they still remained upbeat, positive, and very respectful. Highly Recommend their services.

The tech Lou was A1!! He explained everything and sold me on the speedy and awesome service. I recommend them to anyone for all your plumbing needs.

Worst experience ever. I'm out of town and my wife calls that there's a water leak by the water tank. Called this joke squad at 830p to use their "24hr service". Was told they could get someone out there in about an hour, in a 9-11pm slot. No prob.

Guy never shows. Called 3 times after 11pm trying to find out where the tech is and the callers don't even know. They said they'd call the tech and call us back but NEVER DID!! So now she's got water shut off with kids over night till I can get some actual professionals out there to fix the issue. Don't waste your time folks, they're a big let down!!

DO NOT USE THEYRE EMERGENCY SERVICE. I love 30 minutes from the house needing repairs. They never came and when I called they stated they had the wrong phone number after I provided 3 or 4 times when they confirmed it incorrectly!!! I drove with my baby to wait at midnight with no one coming!!! Do not do it these reviews are fake!!!! I called all night so this should have never happened. They asked every time I called what the number was so they definitely was sleep or on drugs!!!!

I called and was able to get same day service for my water heater. It turned out that mine stopped working. They immediately went to work to remove the old one and installed a new one. We had hot water back in just a few hours. I'm a happy happy customer.

The technician was fantastic! He was very polite and explained the issues and recommended the plan of action. Everything was taken care of on the first visit. The office staff was friendly and accommodating. Even the follow up was awesome. I will continue to use them for all of our plumbing needs. I've already started recommending them to friends and family.

I asked them to come to replace the compression shutoff valve on the iron pipe in the toilet. Initially I have the appointment from 5-7pm on Friday. The plumber guy called back to see if he can reschedule for Saturday. I shut off the master valve because the compression shutoff valve in the toilet was leaking. So I need water and I don't want to reschedule. The service guy came eventually and he had the shutoff valve to replace, but he didn't carry in his truck the other standard 1/2-in threaded iron pipe (angle from the wall) for the valve to thread on. What kind of professional plumping service doesn't carry the complete kit to replace the compression shutoff valve? He refused to go to Homedepot/Lowes to get the part to complete his job. He said that my iron pipe was special and had different size (1/2-in iron pipe threaded in the shutoff valve is special and uncommon? It is everywhere in the Homedepot or Lowes locally.) He said he had to come back on Saturday morning to do his job as he intended initially. We called another local professional plumping repairman on that same evening even after 7pm. The new gentleman made a trip to Homedepot; got the complete kit; came back to my house and replace everything in half an hour. He even charged me less with his honest work, courtesy, and beyond craftmanship. Talk about going above and beyond the quality of service, honesty, and professionalism that we all should learn.

I had Patrick with Blue Frog Plumbing out to my house today and he was wonderful. I had a problem with low water pressure and two other plumbing companies could not figure it out. Patrick has 30 yrs exp and was able to fix our problem. Blue Frog has my business from now on. Thank you.

In 2021 they replaced my garbage disposal. In April I noticed that the top of the disposal was rusted. I'm not sure if this is an installation issue or product issue. The disposal was from Home Depot, not Bluefrog. I'm posting a review as they no longer answer the phone or reply to online requests through their website.

They are honest, they diagnosis the issue, give you options, answer questions, then answer more questions. What they don't do is lie to you, try to scare you on "What might happen," up sell based on that, they don't say "this part has been recalled", then remove the part, basically leaving you stranded. We moved to Glen Allen from out of state this summer and are very fortunate when a toilet valve broke (we were changing out toilets) that Vaughn from Bluefrog Plumbing answered the emergency call. We have had Bluefrog return to move and install a pressure tank, then again to add a waterline for a refrigerator. They will be my first and only call for a plumber.

I do no recommend! I called Blue Frog in early October 2021 for a back up issue. They were pretty prompt in sending out the plumber for the initial visit. All he did was come & look under the house. Then he tells me he’s has to come another time to do a clean out to properly diagnose the issue. The clean out would require the utility dept marking the water lines. He tells me it should take a week for the utility person to come out. I wait a week. Hear nothing. Call the plumber, he forgets who I am. I don’t think he even contacted the utility dept. I contact the utility dept & request them to come out. They come the following week & mark the wrong lines. Call the plumber back & now he calls them to come out. FINALLY!! It took him two weeks to do what he initially said he was going to do. This is only the beginning. So many calls made to this plumber unanswered or not returned. Meanwhile I have a back up therefore I can’t properly use the toilets, shower or wash clothes in my home! Eventually he has another employee from Blue Frog to come out to dig for the clean out. Then the next day another employee comes to perform the clean out but tells me they can’t because it’s full of water which indicates the tree outside is causing the issue with the pipes. This is going into the fourth week!! He tells me next week they will excavate, replace the pipes & issue will be solved! Here we are the fifth week! The plumber & three employees from Blue Frog come out to dig. They show up around 10am & leave around 3pm. They tell me if it rains the next they’ll come back another day. It rained overnight but it is not raining today! I call the plumber & he tells me they have to come back tomorrow because they need a bigger machine. I ask when the pipes will be fixed & he says Monday. We will be going in a sixth week of working with this company!! Hopefully is actually fixed on Monday. One thing I can say if you work with this company expect poor communication, pushed back deadlines & no sense of urgency. That is my experience!

I highly recommend Blue Frog Plumbing. I was so concerned about my sump pump possibly needing to be repaired or replaced. I spoke with Montana the first face of the company on the phone. She was so professional and personable. She really made choosing Blue Frog an easy choice. She immediately addressed my concerns about finding a honest, reliable and trustworthy company. Davis the plumber did a great job as well!! I know I sound like a commercial, but Blue Frog is the absolute best if you are looking for superior plumbing company.

The worst time for a plumbing problem is Friday afternoon before a holiday weekend. But it happens. Blue Frog was able to book an appointment for me in the next afternoon, meaning my 86 yr old client wouldn't have to go through the weekend without her kitchen sink. Vaughn arrived on time, provided an estimate for the repair, and soothed an older woman's concerns with his professionalism, and personality. The repair took longer than expected, but Vaughn kept at it until the drain was clear and new piping installed. I recommend Blue Frog to anyone needs a reliable plumbing partner in maintaining their home's systems.
