Evan J. came today and installed our new hot water heater. He was polite, careful and informative and did a great job. He explained the system well. Thanks so much to him, and to Sam who came last week to help shut down the leaking unit, putting an end to the water on the floor. Dobson has been our go-to for heat and hot water for many years - always reliable and responsive.

I had an issue with my hot water heater and called R.A. Dobson (of course, as I have been using them for years) to diagnose the problem. The technician that came (on Nov. 3) was Evan, and I have to say that I love all the R.A. Dobson technicians, but Evan was AMAZING. He was able to diagnose the problem and offer a few options. The wonderful thing is that he was able to show me how to extend the life of the hot water heater to clean out the minerals (we have a lot in our water) and keep the elements running longer. Some companies would want to immediately replace the appliance, but over the years, I have found that R.A. Dobson, with their expertise, maintains them and keeps them running longer. Evan was SO knowledgeable, professional and very patient and kind in showing us every repair he did and why he was doing it. R.A. Dobson is honest and has a professional for all repairs they do. If you want to extend the life of your hot water heater, plumbing system or heating system, CALL THEM. They care about the customer and the system they are working on, and will do their best to always keep everything running smoothly. It's so refreshing to have a company that tries to solve the problem and not just replace everything. I have been using R.A. Dobson for over 30 years, and still call them first whenever I have a problem--if they can't fix it, they direct me to the company that can. And Evan was definitely one of the BEST technicians I have had, from ANY company. Thank you, R.A. Dobson, for your great service AGAIN!!

I have been a client of R.A. Dobson for over 20 years! I have to say that every engagement with the Dobson team is an absolute delight. This past week we had Jason out to the house to install our new AC system. It was a complicated install, but the care that he took was incredible. The team did outstanding work and we are thrilled with our new system. Working with Travis on the right system at the right price was of incredible ease and you always feel as though the entire company will go above and beyond to ensure you are satisfied! So Disappointed. We have had a relationship with RA Dodson for our clients needs for the past couple of years. Even though they don’t give contractors pricing I have continued to use them. Evan their only plumber has been great. Today we had scheduled a job, where the water had to be turned off in a condo unit scheduled after noon. I called to find out Evan was not coming because of a vehicle issue in the morning. I understand issues but I should have been notified when it happed so I could get someone else to help me, not me calling them at 12:00 to find out there was an issue. And at the end they were not going to complete the job. They recommended finding someone else. So quickly they ended a relationship that brought them income and new customers. Evan is good but the company is not.

We went with R.A. Dobson when our A/C went out Summer of this year. We found out about them because there was another family owned heating and air company that my uncle and aunt had used and trusted for years, comfort zone I believe it was. They wanted to work with us but were booked up for at least a week and we needed immediate assistance so they recommended R.A. Dobson to us because they trusted the service so much.

There are a lot of details I could write about how things went, but I'll stick to overall impressions. The first crew that came to help us diagnosed what they saw and I believe gave us an honest quote for what they thought the repair would be. The tech that came the next day was more senior and first corrected the diagnosis of that first crew and then, since he was able to get the unit to start with the parts he had on hand, gave his assessment that we were in need of a total replacement, showing actual figures from diagnostic tools that our unit was too old to be effective even if they were able to do a stopgap repair.

The phone service and ability to book and get prompt service appointments was good throughout. We ultimately did replace our HVAC, and dave, the technician who appeared to be overseeing the work, was happy to explain every aspect of the work being done and why they were doing it the way they were, as well as point out ways in which our original installation was not as effective either because it was old or because the installation had some shortcuts taken. We purchased a higher end version of the products they offered, and after a few weeks I can say it is still working well and we haven't noticed issues either with the unit or an impact on other aspects of our home. We'd recommend R.A. Dobson for a low hassle experience and for integrity given their staff all appeared interested in doing the best job possible and we even saw examples of them holding each other accountable to this both for the mistaken diagnosis (which we received credit for) and throughout the installation process.

We have used R. A. Dobson for decades now. Sim is the best! He keeps everything running smoothly and makes sure we know just what to do.

Last summer our air conditioner broke down on the hottest day of the year. R.A. Dobson came the same day and charged us clear prices. We signed up for the Matience program and have been so glad we did. They’ve helped us keep our air conditioning in tip top shape. Today Dave came over, called before he arrived to make sure someone was home, wore foot gear to keep the house clean, cleaned out the furnace and then even vacuumed the small pieces that were on the ground. We love the service we get and will continue to work with the R.A. Dobson team!

Made the mistake of using these guys for an hvac issue I was having late last week. After almost two hours of diagnosis the junior tech they sent told me it would be almost $3600 to replace the part. Fine, it is what it is, but I decided to do my own research and:

Cue my surprise to learn the part was under warranty the entire time (which he would have known if he bothered to check) AND even if wasn’t the part itself typically costs $600 with $200-300 of labor at other installers. Ended up getting it fixed by another contractor for $95 flat and he was in/out with my AC working again in under an hour!

I've been very satisfied with RA Dobson who we've used in the past. This was the first time for them to come to our new home and Freddy was very professional and helpful. While providing routine maintenance on the AC, he discovered a dead snake attached to the capacitor, and lots of dirt/grime. Snake removed, everything cleaned out, and the AC back in full working order. Thank you, Freddy and RA Dobson.

We really appreciated the service RA Dobson provided when they replaced our water heater today. Evan, Brady and Israel were on time, polite, and professional, and they did a great job--even adding a last-minute request by us to the service they performed. Evan was thorough and explained everything to us so well which we really appreciated. We have been with RA Dobson for over 20 years, including having them replace our HVAC system. They had the chance to upsell to us when we asked questions about today's water heater replacement but didn't. We are grateful for their honesty and recommend them to others.

We hired RA Dobson to setup zoning in our house, which was originally not setup for it at all. They replaced the single trunk with dual trunk lines, mapped the supplies, setup the zoning, taking their time to make sure the work was done right. Dave (the lead installer) and his team were incredible, answering questions along the way and delivered a great finished product. I would highly recommend them for your future HVAC needs.

RA Dobson technicians are always timely, professional and respectful of my time and property. My most recent experience was having an old furnace replaced. Anthony and Dave were very knowledgeable and and clearly explained all the details of the repair and how to use the new thermostat. They are obviously well trained. I also like that the company is a local family owned business. Highly recommend.

We inherited R.A. Dodson over a dozen years ago from the original home owners, who had contracted with them for the prior system install (2008) and as new owners we would contact them for period service. After 17 years the old system was showing signs of its age and so we recently replaced with a new Carrier system. Highly recommended R.A. Dodson, which is still family owned after 50 years. Install techs for the new system, Dave and Alex, were great as well. A very positive set of experiences with their crew over the dozen years.

Dobson has been servicing the HVAC system at our home for nearly 20 years. Our heat pump finally gave up the ghost and we purchased a new Carrier heat pump from Dobson. Josh & Alec showed for this 2-day dismantlement & replacement. They took out the old heat pump outside and dismantled the air handler in the basement. They then replaced the heat pump and air handler with the new Carrier equipment. They were a talented team who worked well with each other and were responsive to our many questions. We really appreciated their work & communication skills. Kudos to both!!!
