We have used RA Dobson both personally and with my clients. All have been very happy with the service they received. From the initial phone call where the man answering the phone is helpful and engaging and quick to schedule a service appointment. Most recently we needed the motor replaced in our furnace in the attic. Sam was our technician that helped us. He was very polite and quick to replace the motor & get the system back to having heat on a 25 degree evening. I love that the techs from RA Dobson don't do the constant upselling like other companies we have used in the past. I have confidence that when they tell me what the issue is, that they are honest in their assessment. I couldn't recommend them more!

I've worked with R. A. Dobson for over 20 years and always found their service to be exceptional. Anthony was my tech for installing a new compressor and coil, and he did a great job.

Why four stars instead of five? When my A/C went out, the first tech said it was a capacitor, which he replaced, and then found the second capacitor was out. He didn't have that one in the truck and it was the end of the day. Another tech showed up the next morning with the new capacitor, but he found that the compressor was dead. Was it dead the prior afternoon? We didn't run it in between service visits. It took almost two days to get the new equipment during one of the worst heat waves. The other issue is the proposal for the new compressor and coil did not include a breakdown of the equipment and labor costs, nor did I get a hardcopy pamphlet or other information on my new system, as I had received with the prior system. I can't say that Carrier produces those any more but it would have been nice.

Travis was fantastic. He provided quality service in a thorough and expedient manner. We are never disapointed with representative of R. A. Dobson.

Had an AC issue, drain system was clogged shutting down the entire system. Travis R. came out the same day I called RA Dobson, and blew out the lines that were extremely clogged due to the humidifier we use. He cut the main vertical pvc pipe to be a little shorter to allow for an angled approach to our floor drain also which should help alleviate this issue going forward. He listened to our concerns, and provided detailed explanations of what he was going to do and what it would cost. We've had many good Dobson techs in the house over the years (25+), but Travis was exceptional in both explaining and performing the work.

RA Dobson provides reliable and knowledgeable service. We recently signed up for a bi annual service contract since we are so pleased with their work. Our recent technician, Sam was amazing. He took the time to explain things and share all of our options. Highly Recommend!

Excellent service and quick response! They came out 2 hours after I called on Monday morning as my sink was clogged. The lady who answered the phone, Kelsey was extremely pleasant and helpful. Evan, the technician was great. He resolved my issue right away. I did have a question about the bill and the manager George was extremely helpful and responsive. I will definitely use this company again!

Travis from RA Dobson Just finished the diagnosis and Repair of our York air Conditioner. He was extremely positive, friendly, and professional. He completed the repairs timely, and explained every step of the process, and showed he cared. We have used RA Dobson for well over 20 years and don’t plan to use any other HVAC provider. Our 17 year-old dual system (AC/gas furnace and second floor heat pump) needed replacement and I was very pleased with the work of the Dobson team! Travis Dobson worked with us closely on the configuration, options and pricing and the install crew (Adrian, Carlos, Josh, Chris and Brandon) were excellent! They arrived on time, prepared and to go. As the installation progressed, I was impressed with their attention to detail on the wiring and plumbing work and saw that they corrected some issues with the original builders install. Adrian, the senior guy on the team, definitely knew his business and I noticed him sharing and teaching the others during key parts of the installation. VERY highly recommended!

Travis R came for the fall maintenance and discovered a leak in our water heater. Dobson was able to replace the same day. Very grateful for Travis discovering the leak as it could have been much worse and them replacing on the same day.

It was my first time Using this company. They helped me with installation of a whole house humidifier. Great work by Dave and Seamus. Their scheduling process was great and staff were friendly and professional. Definitely recommend them. Thanks again.

RA Dobson was recommended by another company we are using for our attic insulation project. We needed them to inspect and replace a furnace flue that had rusted and was, potentially, allowing carbon monoxide in the home. They came out the same day we called to diagnose the problem and found additional problems and code violations. None of these problems were noted in our home inspection two months ago nor were they covered by our home warranty. The following week they returned and completed the repair for the agreed upon and reasonable price. The technicians they sent were on time, professional, and did excellent work. We will definitely use their services again.

Sim is absolutely phenomenal. He is the best of the best . He cares about his customers, he cares about his job and he is unbelievably good at it.
He is seriously a genius. He always figures out everything — what and why and how to fix it. I am not exaggerating. He knows our houses better than we do.

We're very satisfied with RA Dobson and would highly recommend them. Our AC stopped working and they sent a tech the same day. He was able to quickly diagnose the issue. The part needed was in Frederick, MD and they sent someone to pick it up rather than having to wait a week for it to be shipped. We were back up and running within a day of calling. Everyone we've dealt with has been knowledgeable, polite, patient, and professional. We're going to sign up for their annual service plan which likely would have caught the issue sooner.

The 1st call I was routed to the owner who gave me an estimate. I was scheduled for service the following week. Kelsy called me and said the tech will be able to come earlier that day, which was good.

Travis showed up on time. He inspected my HVAC humidifier and replaced the humidistat, tested it, and it worked well.
I was only charged the visit fee of $135, nothing more.

He was informative of how each part of the system works to better identify future issues.

Had annual maintenance completed on my furnace this morning. Dave, the technician, arrived promptly, was very courteous, and completed all required maintenance tasks within an hour. R.A. Dobson, INC has been handling my HVAC maintenance for the past two years, and I highly recommend their service.

We have been customers of RA Dobson for over 20 years and have had very good to excellent service during that period of time, including the installation of 2 furnaces and an air conditioner unit. Recently, their technician Travis Rybicki inspected our gas furnace and found that its heat exchangers were corroded and posed a potential carbon monoxide hazard. He recommended that we replace our furnace ASAP and provided us with several options within our budget. The following week, Dobson's installed the replacement unit we chose. We were unfamiliar with the installers but they seemed to be well trained and were able to replace the furnace in a little over half a day. The furnace is working nice and we are grateful they discovered the problem with the old furnace. We want to commend the installers--Anthony, Blady, and Drew (and one other helper who delivered installation supplies)--for their efforts. Before they left, they made sure we understood the operation of the furnace and its new features. Thanks to Travis Dobson and his team for all their help.
