Have been using Mr. Comfort for over 20 years. Mike Walker and his team always treat you like family, are friendly, prompt to your needs and reliable. I like the fact Mr. Comfort "gives back" to our community, assists the Va. Beach Technical and Career Education Center with community projects that create future HVAC professionals and hires from within our retired military community. When Mr. Comfort installed my new Goodman system, Mike sent over a team of mechanics, not just one mechanic and a helper. Prices are very competitive, service is excellent.

Tech was knowledgable and curteous, went through the troubleshooting steps efficiently and was kind in answering questions. Helped educate me on my own system when I incorrectly identified system components and heating source.

Exceptional service and repair provided by Alfredo. Without heat on a very cold day arrival was quick, diagnosis was quick, and repair quick! Pricing was fair. Will call again as I have for many years. Thank you.

Mr.Comfort was a life saver! Since 6/11/25 Went through two other AC repair companies prior to contacting Mr. Comfort. The previous two did not accurately diagnose & fix my central air. In the hottest summer in Hampton Roads I did not have working AC. Alfredo with Mr. Comfort, accurately diagnosed the problem and came back today to repair. I did not have to wait weeks for the service call like the previous 2 companies. Brooklyn in their office was a jewel to work with and for getting the appointments scheduled. I will be a Mr.Comfort customer for life! Thank you!

On time, great customer service, price on my tankless water heater was 3k less than my quote from another big name local competitor. Installation went great, Chris was awesome, took time to explain everything, felt he went above and beyond with his customer service.

I just had a new hot water heater installed by Walker (I hope I'm remembering his name correctly!) and I do have to say that I am very impressed!

Not only were they here on time, they went above and beyond my expectations. He installed new elevated copper piping, added some insulation along with a second additional shut off valve. It felt like an upgrade - not just a replacement!

Wonderful local firm and great technicians. I had my hvac system die right before the holidays and Mr. Comfort was prompt in the diagnosis, options, and replacement. Best price in town and wonderful front office and technicians. I highly recommend them for any of your heating and a/c needs.

Chris is awesome!! I called them at 8:30am and by 9:45am it was fixed! 10/10 recommend. We just bought a house and the heat just stopped working the day my husband left for a trip. A solo mom with a teething 8 month old THANKS YOU SO MUCH! We have a home warranty but I’d rather deal with them on the backend. No way they would’ve fixed it as well, as fast, and for such a great price.

Our church's heat went out and I called and Mr. Comfort was able to get someone out to troubleshoot quickly. Jeron was fantastic and got one of our two units operational. He called in a part order for the other and that should be ready and fixed soon. I appreciate Mr. Comfort's responsiveness and their technicians knowledge and experience. We are in good hands.

We are very pleased with the work done by Mr. Comfort. We had an additional HVAC system installed in our attic, and our original unit replaced as well, now we are enjoying the benefits of a two zone set up. The staff and technicians were all very professional and knowledgeable and worked very hard to make everything right. Our home is 60 years old and they were able to overcome a few challenges that came up. I would recommend Mr. Comfort without hesitation!

When my heat stopped working overnight with a small toddler at home, I began panic searching HVAC repair companies and found myself overwhelmed and terrified by the reviews of the "top" options in our area. Thankfully, I asked my neighbor for a recommendation and she gave me the information for Mr. Comfort. My experience today from start to finish could not have been better. Brooklyn was able to get me scheduled not only same day, but within a few hours of my call. The technician, Chris, was quick and honest about next steps. He was even able to get my system running for the time being in hopes it will hold until I can get the repair needed scheduled. Brooklyn even took the time to clarify things further during a follow up call while I tried to wrap my head around everything. HVAC repairs are stressful, but I at least walked away with peace of mind that the assessment was honest and fair. Based on my experience so far, I highly recommend Mr. Comfort!

If I could give zero stars, I would.

We scheduled Mr. Comfort for Friday between 10–12 and were promised a 45-minute call ahead when the technician was on the way. That never happened. By 11:30 we still hadn’t heard anything, so we had to call them ourselves. Instead of showing up, they tried to push our appointment to Monday even though we explained both of our AC units were completely out and we have three small kids in the house (including a baby) with 80°+ weather coming.

They finally showed up a little after 2:30 PM, 2.5 hours after the appointment window.

They charged us $580 to supposedly fix most of the issue. They waived the $89 inspection fee, but that doesn’t mean much when nothing was actually fixed.

Now things are worse than before they came. The upstairs thermostat won’t even power on anymore so we can’t ever recirculate the air which we clarified with the technician who said we could. The upstairs system still isn’t working. The downstairs unit they said we could run is now freezing up again. We are basically back to square one with no AC.

Before leaving, they told us the upstairs unit needed a condenser fan motor and that they would order the part and call us the next morning. They never called.

We’ve called multiple times and left messages with no response. Now they’re closed for the weekend while we’re stuck in a hot house with three kids and broken AC.

We are now almost $600 out of pocket and still without working AC. We will absolutely not be using this company again and I urge who ever reads this to maybe try one of the million other 5 star hvac companies before even looking at this one again. If I could give zero stars, I would.

I highly recommend this company. This was my first time using them and it was a great experience. Lemar came out to my house was super cool to deal with explained everything to me. Make sure I was knowledgeable. Definitely not trying to sell stuff you don’t need. they have a great deal you pay $199 a year and they come out twice a year to service your equipment. Great deal great company.

I have been dealing with a claim with a warranty company for over three weeks for my heating system and nothing was accomplished. They assigned two contractors who were very unprofessional and disrespectful not getting back with me. I decided to contact someone else by myself and was referred to Mr. Comfort by a friend. Their dispatcher, BrookeLynn was very helpful and the technicians sent to my property were very knowledgeable in finding out what was wrong with the system. Even though I may need a new system, I do appreciate the effort and the level of service, respect and professionalism they provided, so much different to the contractors assigned by the warranty company.
UPDATE: the company installed a new system and they were very professional. They arrived early and worked in a clean and organized manner. I appreciate the job done.

I have been using Mr Comfort for a couple of years now, and I plan to be a customer for life. The techs are top notch, they are clean, and trust worthy, technically competent and really focus on customer service. Their scheduling and back office staff rock as well. They are ALWAYS able to accommodate my requests and are super easy to work with. I have used a couple other hvac companies in the 757, and these guys are the best, hands down!
