Our old system has been giving us problems for a few years now. So when our latest electricity bill went up dramatically, we knew it was time to replace it. We called 3 companies for an estimate. The first one (from Russell’s/Am.Mechanical) was excessively expensive (2x what we had expected!!). So when Lamar from Mr.Comfort came out, we were thrilled that the estimate was right what we had anticipated (after doing research online). Plus they were able to install it the next day. We were very pleased with the results and the installers were professional and knowledgeable. They were also respectful and considerate. We would recommend them to anyone who wants a quality system professionally installed at a fair price.

Called everyday for a week with no answer - voicemail full, just to be told they couldn't find any info from our warranty claim number. Been without heat for over a month.

It was a absolute NIGHTMARE working with this company. They are terrible at communication, unprofessional, incompetent, and overall a waste of time. I would recommend to stay far far away from them at all costs. At the end of the day, you would be lucky if they even pick up the phone and follow through with their job.

We went over 30 days with no air and Ricky of INGAIR came out twice and we end up hiring another company. Based upon INGAIR, we needed some duct work done; and, per AHS, INGAIR didn't do duct work. Therefore, we would have to find someone to do the duct work and then AHS would send INGAIR back out to work on the AC; which probably would have been another 30 days without AC. 2-Stars for coming out 2 times.

Based on my overall experience I most likely would never use INGAIR LLC ever again. Whenever I spoke to the manager/owner Ricky he was full of promises and accommodations that he never fulfilled, such as, calling me when he said he would. When he wasn't making those promises he would be full of excuses blaming AHS for incorrect parts being ordered, not letting him know things, etc. almost as if he didn't realize that I am also talking to AHS on the side and I know the status of things as well. For example, I talked to him on a Wednesday and let him know how vital it is to get my A/C back up and running he said he understood and said he would look into it everyday and hopefully the part would come into the warehouse by Friday and if so we might be able to slot a time in to install the part prior to the weekend. Friday rolls around and I call him first thing in the morning, no answer, I call him twice around lunchtime no answer. I leave a voicemail and sent him a text all of which was not responded to. I call AHS and it turns out the part was available for pickup as of YESTERDAY (Thursday) The weekend goes by, I then resume my efforts trying to get into contact with him and call him four times throughout Monday no answer to any of my calls. Finally, around 7 P.M. he calls me and says that he is not sure if the part is in yet and he will have to contact the warehouse in the morning to find out and then let me know if it is, mind you I already knew the part was available as I just spoke with AHS about it Friday. Morning rolls around and he calls and claims that the part still isn't available but would be available Wednesday morning and that he could get it installed for me Wednesday afternoon.

As far as I can tell everything went smoothly with the install they but just the headache and blame game getting there ruined my entire experience with this company. Mind you this all occurred after not having AC for a month so I was already at the end of my patience.

Referred by Home Warranty. Called made an appt. They arrived during the time frame. The fan motor needed replacing. 10 days later I was contacted to make an appointment to install the motor which had arrived at the HVAC distributor. This is very old system. I was surprised they could locate a motor. They came and installed it. It took a while and was after dark when they completed the install but cool air is flowing!!!
    Polite and cordial.

AC repair scheduled 3-6 pm through American Home Shield. Contractor called at 4 to cancel due to “truck/equipment” issues. Company did not answer phone calls from me or the warranty company for the remainder of the day or the next day. I left several messages asking to reschedule with no call back. They finally answered 24 hours later to my appt was cancelled and now they are fully booked, and not accepting any new appointments (I wasn’t a new appt). They may be able to see me in a week. When I started asking further questions, receptionist said she had another phone call and abruptly ended our call. I would not recommend this company. They obviously don’t have more than one truck or a back up technician, do not have a professional scheduling system, and do not care about losing customers.

Terrible company! I’m a construction inspector so I know that my system is not working, I just needed my home warranty company to verify for repairs. These people DO NOT know how to diagnose a system. I had to tell them what was wrong. My thermostat is not working and they told me that they would not fix it OR put in the claim to my warranty company because “they usually dont cover it”. I know that they DO because I paid for upgraded coverage. I called my own warranty company and they verified that it would be covered, they just needed to submit the claim. I called today to verify that they submitted the claim and they told me that they closed it based off their own assumptions. THIS IS NOT HOW WARRANTY CLAIMS WORK! They took my money and closed my claim. I am reporting them for fraud today

TERRIBLE!! STAY AWAY! Gave them 1 star because 0 was not an option. Had to deal with these people through my home warranty American Home Shield (AHS). Takes them a week to do anything. Called multiple times with no answer & they said I must’ve been calling the wrong number. They charged AHS thousands to fix the issue, spent 6 hours in my house where they had to call reinforcements & at the end of the day still no AC.

Wish I could put zero stars. My home warranty tasked this company to come troubleshoot my AC system. The first time they came out, little was done beyond inspecting filters and wrote the report as dirty filters. I had to file a second repair and pay a second fee for warranty company to send the same company out to properly
troubleshoot, even though filters were changed and had been steadily, the system wasn’t working. While waiting for tech to show we received a review of services provided from home warranty company. I called home warranty and they said they had received a report from the technician who never showed up. The technician submitted a report without coming to troubleshoot the system. Reporting this to home warranty, they are finally sending different HVAC company to troubleshoot. I will be obtaining copy of fraudulent report and filing a report with Virginia’s DPOR and seeking reimbursement. I would advise anyone to avoid this company as in my opinion, they are a fraudulent and unprofessional company. Judging from other reviews…..I’m not the only one who experienced bad service!

    Updated:
The text was to 2-10 - not you - and it was regarding the previous company. 2-10 called you around 5, and left TWO messages. I only received your information late in the day. I left a message around 530. No one from your company bothered to call me back. I did get a message from 2-10 and was unable to reach the caller. So rather than call me directly, you chose to take an even more convoluted route, further extending the time we were without heat. It’s all good. I found someone else who came out to repair it - and they earned my non-warranty business. My review below 👇 stands. Do not recommend.

Terrible service. We haven’t had heat for three days and they do not answer their phone Never called or followed up to my home warranty calls except to cancel the dispatch because they were unwilling to come the next day. They didn’t even bother to call me back. Based on the other reviews, it was probably for the best.

I just want to write a review because I had an excellent experience with this company! I had been having AC issues for over a year and my home warranty company had been sending company after company to my home to try to fix the problem, no one ever did. They would all come and check my filter and look at my unit and make up some excuse that was not the reason and leave within about 30 mins and say it was fixed and it really was not. I spent all last summer in the sweltering heat. This year they sent Ingair and I was skeptical because of the reviews. On the initial visit they came on time, the tech was pleasant. Now there was a little bit of a language barrier as his primary language was Spanish, however he had his boss on the phone who spoke English very well and was able to explain everything to us with no issues. I did have to wait about a month for the repair to be made but it was not the fault of Ingair. It was because the parts had to be ordered, and dealing with the home warranty company, It takes time. Once the part was received, they came back out, made the repair, did not rush through it and waited to make sure that it was actually working before they left. My AC is ice cold and working beautifully!!! I am so thankful to this company that I dont have to sweat through another summer!!! Thank you so much for your professional, kind, good work!!!

My home warranty company assigned these guys when my heat pump went out. It took two weeks because my heat pump needed a part that needed to be ordered. They came out and got the job done. I don’t know the experiences of the people that left bad reviews but my experience was good.

They accommodated us in their schedule quickly, and when a cancellation arose they gave us the option for the earlier time due to our heat being out. Solid local small business who are clearly in high demand.

Service technician arrived early, fixed the issue quickly, and took the time to provide a quick rundown of tips & tricks for our system, plus some recommendations.

Edit to add: Referred by our home warranty, who did not provide a good contact number. The key for us getting in touch was to text or email, not call, as I'm sure they are flooded with phone calls.

    1. Laura is awesome.
This company has gone above and beyond help in dealing with a completely awful home warranty company. They have answered all questions and followed through numerous times with me and my wife in concerns to hold ups. They escalated communication and even went above and beyond in finding the part and going themselves to get it where the home warranty didnt even bother.
Laura has kept us both completely updated with excellent customer service and information. They are attentive and compassionate in our case. I could not of asked for a better group of people to handle this already bad situation. The technicians are educated, the know what they are doing, and were VERY informative and answered all concerns from the beginning. Even ones I knew the answer too already but asked anyways. Im very grateful for their continued support

I used this company only because they were assigned through my home warranty, and unfortunately, that decision has turned into a very expensive lesson.

They replaced my HVAC system in 2016 and removed my existing Apollo system at my request. Years later, after discovering a leak, a licensed HVAC technician from another company inspected the system and found multiple serious issues tied directly to the original installation. The system was draining into a rusted emergency pan and overflowing due to a severely clogged condensate drain line. More importantly, the system was installed without a float switch, a basic safety component designed to shut the system off and prevent water damage.

Because the emergency pan was too shallow to accommodate a float switch, the overflow went undetected for an extended period, causing significant damage. The emergency pan is now heavily rusted, and the plywood subfloor beneath the unit has bowed due to prolonged water exposure. They also had a 3” vent going into a 5” vent, which is not up to code, they were supposed to install a 5“ vent through the roof. I am now facing over $4,000 in repair costs to fix damage that could have been prevented with a proper installation.

When I raised these concerns, the company refused responsibility, blaming the issue entirely on “lack of maintenance,” despite the fact that the installation itself did not meet professional or manufacturer-recommended standards. I also made multiple attempts to contact them before receiving a response, most of which went unanswered.

This experience showed me that choosing the cheaper option can cost far more in the long run. I would strongly caution homeowners to thoroughly vet HVAC installers and not rely solely on warranty-assigned contractors.

I would never recommend them!! Do your homework so you can understand what should be installed correctly.
