We recently had the need to contact a plumber when we found a leak under the kitchen sink on a Saturday. Being new to the area and not knowing who to call we did a little internet search and found Jim Bertolino & Son. What a GREAT find! Jim answered my call Saturday afternoon. I told him my issue and he said he wouldn't be able to get to me until Monday as it wasn't an emergency. Jim called to inform me he was on his way and showed up first thing Monday. He came in assessed the situation explained everything took a few minutes to write up a work order so everyone knew what to expect then got to work. Jim is very knowledgeable and did a great job fixing and repairing several plumbing issues. He doesn't charge by the hour takes his time and ensures everything is correct and working properly before leaving. I highly recommend Jim Bertolino & Son Plumbing and in fact have called him for another project.

Jim and his helper came to change out my stopped working old water heater. He explained everything thing to me so that I understood what needed to be done. They stayed until late at night to get the job done. Would definitely use them again. Thanks Jim and Vic!

Jim was amazing. I am military and was returning from overseas. We had a large gas leak in our hot water heater in the garage. The city shut off our gas and so my wife and son had no hot water or heat.

My wife called Jim and he came out personally to evaluate. He started work the next day and worked for three days straight to fix the problem and make sure it was right so we could get our heat and water back on.

He was one of only a few licensed plumbers who could fix the problem. Most other companies wouldn't touch it, weren't licensed, or didn't call my wife back. His prices were very fair. He even helped us with information to see if we could get our homeowner's insurance to pay for the work.

Jim cares about families, is exceptional in his trade, and is trustworthy and honest. I recommend him and his company fully.

Jim was wonderful to work with. He came to install 2 new faucets and was faced with a real challenge when he found one faucet had seized to the sink due to the original installation not being done correctly. His persistence paid off in the end and I was so happy to have the problem corrected. He and Oscar were amazing and left our home in better shape than when they came. I know who will be my plumber from now on!

Jim is an awesome guy. A pipe under my house burst and I needed it fixed A.S.A.P. I called several different companies and Bertolino and Son was the only plumbing company that answered the phone after hours ! He came over and fixed the leak. Jim is not only prompt and efficient he is very personable. After finishing the job and explaining what the problem was, he stayed and chatted with us. After a few laughs and my sincere "Thank yous " I felt like I've known him all my life. I definitely would call Jim if I ever needed his services again

My home owner scheduled the replacement of the hot water heater, Jim and his team came on time and called ahead of confirm the appointment.
Jim and his team were kind and professional and did a great job!
They had the whole thing fixed and the new hot water heater replaced and ready to go in less than two hours!!

My shower and toilet from both of the bathroom was clogged and black stuff was coming out of the toilet and the shower when I plunged it. So I called Jim Bertolino & son. He told me it was a backed up sewer to the house and told me every step from identifying the house main sewer drain to describe the main drain box and how to locate it. Then he proceeded to educate me to call the city to put our hard earn Tax dollars to use. If the city can’t help me then they can. He stayed on the phone with me pass his shift to help, educate and save me money. I highly recommend his company.

I am a new homes site manager for 30 years representing a quality builder for those years. I appreciate good quality and honesty in the trades.We had an early morning emergency with plumbing and my husband called someone I did not know( Jim Bertolino &Son).and I was very skeptical because of my new construction trade contacts..We called Jim at 7:45, he was at my personal home by 9am. We had a pipe break behind the washer. Well this gruff exterior/nice Italian man and his son did a great job and were done within a few hours.. This was not an easy job as my washer was upstairs sitting next to my brand new shiny new Dryer- which I did not want to get scratched!The price was fair and I do recommend this family business. On time, knowledgeable, quality work. (once you get to know them on the job.....nicest, honest ,people you will ever meet) My go to Plumber !!

Jim made sure I was added to his schedule to repair the leak in my kitchen ceiling knowing I had shut off my water earlier. He was quick and conscientious. He also gave me some very valuable information regarding my recent water heater installation.
He went out of his way to connect me with a city agency to address another issue as well. Top notch customer service. Will always call him when I need a plumber.

I wanted to share my positive experience with Jim. My rental property developed a leak on New Years Eve evening. I have a regular plumber that I use for my general contractor business, but he doesn’t run emergencies. I honestly didn’t expect anyone to pick up the phone on NYE. I tried calling Jim after finding him on google, and he answered on the first call. He then asked questions to determine whether my leak was a true emergency or if it could wait. He even did a 3 way call with my tenant and quickly determined the leak was not an emergency. I was able to send my usual plumber out a few days later. Jim was very understanding. He probably saved me a few hundred dollars. Had I not already had a relationship with my plumber or had it been an emergency, I wouldn’t have hesitated to hire Jim for the job and will in the future should the need arise. Thanks again, Jim!

5 stars! Jim was wonderfully helpful with an emergency plumbing issue on a Sunday. He was transparent, honest, and genuine about diagnosing and fixing the problem. When he determined that our issue was actually city problem, he called the city and personally waited at my residence for the city's truck to arrive. Additionally, I know when my 14-year-old water heater needs replacement, Jim already offered us same-day service. I highly recommend him. I have already given his info to my neighbors.

Jim responded to our needs in a very prompt fashion. He was willing to make an emergency visit when initially contacted but our problem did not need that level of service. When Jim did arrive (first thing the next morning) he took the time to evaluate the situation and offer options on the way to proceed towards a fix. Within the hour, Jim found our problem and provided us the solution we needed. Problem fixed!

I can't say enough about his level of expertise and his willingness to educate us on the maintenance of our heating system to prevent future issues. The heating system was not even our reason for the service call.

Great service, honest and more than reasonable for the level of service we received. If you need a plumber, call Jim! I recommend him to anyone in need of a plumber!

In February 2021, not long after closing on my new home, the hot water heater stopped working. I searched Google, Yelp and the Next Door App for a reputable plumber. JIM BERTOLINO had good reviews and I called him for help. Jim answered my call, asked me some questions about my hot water heater because it was only 4yrs old. He is so knowledgeable and advised that it was still under warranty with the manufacturer. He helped by contacting the manufacturer to get the parts replaced and filed the claim for me. While installing the new part and cleaning the water heater he noticed that another part had not been installed properly when initially installed which probably caused the thermostat on the water heater to go bad. After the thermostat was installed, it didn't work and noticed that another part was also not working properly. It was 10 minutes before his supplier was about to close so he called and the supplier met him half way to bring him the part. If a supplier is willing to do this for a plumber you know that they are not only reputable but someone you want working on your house. Jim took the time to explain everything to me in a way that I understood it. Because of the extra part installation the job took longer than expected. Jim stayed to finish the job which made him late for his next appointment. While I feel bad for the person who was next on his schedule, I am thankful that he stayed to finish and didn't reschedule me. This commitment to his clients speaks to his integrity as a person and getting the job done right.
Fast forward one month later and I had a clog in my sewer pipe. I immediately called Jim again and he was responsive to my request to come out that day. He again explained everything to me and the inner workings of my plumbing system. He took the time to make sure everything worked prior to him leaving my house.
Jim takes the time with his clients to make sure the understand not only what he is doing but things they can do to avoid problems in the future. He is NOT someone who is there to only get paid and leave. He genuinely cares about his clients. I would recommend him to anyone. Also, I know there are some other Bertolino plumbers in this area and I can't speak to their work but please make sure you are calling JIM BERTOLINO.

Jim was super professional and gave me a very detailed explanation on what needs to be repaired and what needed to be replaced. He was way ahead of schedule and gave me plenty of calls ahead of time before his arrival. He did a great job repairing my sink and bathtub. Gladly use his services again one day.

Jim Bertolino is one of the most HONEST plumbers we have had the pleasure of working with. We called him out for a whole home low pressure issue and the problem was resolved quickly. While there were no repairs needed for what the issue was, Jim took the time to explain and educate my husband and I on the systems at our property (which he installed 12 years ago)! We are now more comfortable with the plumbing/water and backflow valve we have all because of the information he gave us in great detail. If you need a backflow inspection (annually by the city) then he is your guy, the price is more than 50% less than what a well-known company here charges for the same service. Jim responded extremely quickly to our desperate plea for help with a leaking gas water heater. We were going on a much needed trip to see our daughter in Maine the next morning at 4:30. We were frantic because we had a new pet sitter coming and we could not ask her to deal with a flooding garage (water cut off valve was also broken) and no hot water. In my opinion, our gas hot water heater was an unsightly beast and I dreaded asking any poor soul to deal with it! Once Jim and I spoke on the phone and I sent him some pictures, he quickly went to work finding the appropriate unit for us that would be up to code. This expense was unwelcome and difficult for us because we had just completed another home project the day before. Though the project was expensive due to its nature, Jim and his son did an outstanding job. Not only did we have a fully functional brand new unit by 6:30 that evening, but Jim had made all of the valve connections less ghastly and streamlined everything. He explained everything he was going to do in advance, and then explained how to extend the life of our new unit with some maintenance suggestions. You get what you pay for and his work is top notch and he is compassionate about your life circumstances. He also tolerated and respected our (at times) barking dogs which meant a lot to us. We would not hesitate to use him in the future and highly recommend his services to others.

Our gas 50 gallon water heater in our attic needed replacing. From the time we called Jim to the time they were completely finished was a mere 6 hours. The fast same day service and care they took with our home is undeniable. We couldn't have been happier with the way they protected our floors and carpet during the removal of the old heater and installation of the new one. Jim came highly recommended and we will surely be recommending him to all of our friends and family.

Jim was very responsive to our request for repairs to our leaking tub drain. He was able to show up and make the appropriate repairs the same day that I called him. He was very cordial and easy to talk to during his visit. I subsequently had him do some additional drain work on another tub. Great contractor and very knowledgable. I recommend Jim for any plumbing work and will call him again should the need arise again.

Jim accommodated us to address our broken water heater and our gas lines. He stayed late into the night to ensure the job was done in 1 session and so we wouldn't go without water over night. He and his assistant Victor are professional, honest, personable, and very knowledgeable in their craft. We highly recommend him to all and will utilize his services in the future. Thank you sir
