This company send a technician to my home to fix my microwave. After technician replaced part for my microwave, the unit won't turn on again. Technician did not fix back all my microwave screws. I pointed to technician while he was there that my microwave won't even turn on now. The technician said I will need to call AHS to have them back. He also suggested that I can cash out my microwave which I was not aware of. I called AHS and they said they still waiting their report from Moonstar. They ended up lied to AHS my microwave cannot be fix and service was denied due to power surge issue mean while they replaced a part on it and ended up blowing my microwave up. These guys are scams, and I will avoid them at all costs. Go read their reviews other platform. Am wondering why AHS use them. I attempted calling them and they won't pick my call and their voicemail was full.

Wow, I came to see what experiences other people had and am finding exactly what I went through. After their shoddy “fix” which got my oven working only long enough for them to collect their money from the home warranty company before it burned out other parts, they never returned my messages and started screening my phone calls. Now after having a more competent repairman diagnose the mess they made and order new parts, I’m waiting ANOTHER two weeks without being able to cook food for my children. Trashy company.

This vendor was sent to me by American Home Shield (home warranty company) to fix my microwave. The technician stayed for no more than 2 minutes and I was charged $125 and no fix was done. The technician incorrectly reported to AHS that it was a countertop microwave (even though it is a built-in. A previous technician few years ago had also confirmed it was built in). As a result AHS refused to cover any repair. I called Moonstar several times to fix their report but they never returned my call. This vendor is just a stooge of the Home Warranty companies that are looking for reasons to deny you coverage.

Moonstar -A washing machine repair co for Sears Home Warranty. Do not answer phone - you have to leave VM. Don’t show up as scheduled, Non responsive. So far 30 days waiting for part and no ETA. Reporting sears to insurance commission.and moon star to better business bureau. Btw - talked to sears escalation twice - they can’t reach them either.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Was sent out by the warranty company provided by the realtor. Ended up calling our own repair person after moonstar came out and the problem was worse. I tried to call moonstar multiple times and was ghosted. Our repair person, Jimmy from appliance services inc, was fabulous. Turns out, the previous repair person had tapped into a sealed system and now I need a whole new unit.

Moonstar scheduled a repair for my fridge thru American Home shield and came out the next day to diagnose the problem. They said they would come out the day after to fix it, but came a day later. Zarrar Ahmed with Moonstar came out to do the fix and was efficient and quick to complete the repair. It was a replacement for the evaporator unit which was needed for the fridge to provide appropriate cooling.
This was a good experience, especially since we had another company come out 2 times earlier and not manage to fix the problem. -
BOTTOM LINE UP FROM: Don’t hire MOONSTAR APPLIANCE. They are terrible. They came out three times to fix our refrigerator which was not cooling. After 30 days of back and forth with them, it still not cooling. Each time they “fixed it”, it worked for about four days and stop cooling again. Each time they “fixed it” they guaranteed the issue was resolved. Each time we were told it would take about about four - five days to get the required repair parts. Each time I had to call them for updates after about a week. They don’t answer their phones and don’t return call. One of the worst customer experienced we’ve had.

BEWARE! The worst service we have ever experienced! After a month we still have a broken washing machine!!! 2 different technicians came to our home in 3 different dates, and they ordered multiple parts to "repair" the washing machine. On the last visit they said the problem was something else and the technician just left our home to never return.
We have called several times but no response, and they had the audacity to mark the job as completed with our warranty provider!! The worst customer service, technicians have no idea what they are doing and overall an awful experience. Do not hire them or accept them as a service provider from your home warranty!!! -
Absolute disaster of a company. Avoid at all costs. Impossible to get ahold of. Never ordered the part and then literally just abandoned the project. Negative stars.

I was nervous when I goggled the company my home warranty assigned to my claim for a dryer not heating after reading the reviews here and on Yelp. I personally had a wonderful experience with this business from the appointment to the result of a heating dryer, timely, professional and courteous. I paid my deductible and have not received any scammy service from them as other reviewers have wrote, warranty claims can be tricky for both the business and the customer, and I can see how frustration leads to bad reviews but it feels notable to share here it was a good experience and hopefully encourage others to try this business.

I recently had an experience with Moonstar Appliances after my home warranty company, Cinch Home Services, assigned them our claim for a problem with our washing machine. Experience was very professional from start to finish. Timely communication and excellent craftsmanship.

I would rate negative O stars. I had similar issues with washing machine as other posts mentioned. They fixed one issue, but created several other problems like breaking the lid lock, but says fixed, but now can’t get lid lock to release and I can’t get clothes out of machin. Sears Warranty denied the claim based on notes and info Lumstar Appliance supplied. unbelievable. I’m left with a broken machine, not workable in my opinion. I don’t know how they are still in business!!!

Moonstar Appliance, LLC serviced our dishwasher through Cinch Home Warranty. I was given a time window for the technician’s arrival, and he called 15 minutes before showing up—right on time. He repaired the dishwasher efficiently and remained courteous and professional throughout the entire visit

I almost NEVER write negative reviews. However, this company definitely deserves it. They were sent by our home warranty company, Cinch. The first visit was a diagnostic visit. The diagnostician spent 5-7 minutes and determined the dishwasher needed a new water pump. He said they were going to order the part then call back. Three days passed and I decided to follow up. I called them and they told me they could come the next day. I wonder how long I would have had to wait if I hadn't called.
The next day, a different tech showed up with the part. He was much younger and as I found out, very inexperienced. He removed the dishwasher and caused a large puddle on the floor while doing so. I helped him clean it up. He changed the part and when he tried to reinstall the dishwasher under the counter he could not get it to go in at the the same angle. It was leaning forward. He tried to tell me that it was like that, but I know it wasn't. I insisted that he place the washer back the way it was. After multiple tries and multiple scratches to the cabinet, he was unable to place the dishwasher at the correct angle. Finally, I told him to leave and I fixed the angle of the dishwasher.
A few days later, the dishwasher stopped functioning and the same malfunction code was displayed. Back to square one except I'm out $200 bucks. Total incompetence. -
Impossible to talk with the technician after the service is completed!?! The insurance company denies coverage because of the way he explained it in his report. Otherwise, I like Moon Star Appliances as they have repaired other appliances for me in the past. Unfortunately, this time they are costing me a brand new dish washer.

I wish I could leave 0 stars. Terrible, shady and dishonest business. My oven wall unit was a little loose when closing it and I went through my warranty company, Cinch with Sears, to get it repaired. Even with the loose door, I could still use it and open and close the door. I paid for the diagnostic fee and they sent Moonstar to look at it.
The technician arrived looking disheveled and unprofessional. He then pulled the oven door and the hinge out of the wall to take a look at it and then said he'd have to get a replacement door and would expedite it. The door and microwave oven was now inoperable due to his pulling it out of the wall.
I waited a week and heard nothing from them. I called and got the run around with them never returning my calls and not getting an update. After contacting the warranty company, I found out that Moonstar had told the warranty company that i had broken the door beyond repair and that the warranty wouldn't cover it. That is a lie because the oven worked fine until he pulled the hinges out the frame. I have pictures of the damage he did to the oven.
Please do not give this scam company, Moonstar Appliances, your money and do not use them for any repair work. I wish I had followed the advice of all of the other people in these reviews. -
0 stars should be an option…. Moonstar was sent by my home warranty company Old Republic. The initial visit they “diagnosed” a bad defroster on my refrigerator. Had my tenants unplug it to defrost then came back 2 days later. Tech had my tenant turn it back on and told them to wait for it to get back to normal temp… it never did. Without fixing the problem, a non-temp regulating fridge and freezer, they said closed the work order as complete. When my tenant called back a couple days later relaying the problem, the technician said it was now a bad fan and electronics, and told them another work order was required to order parts. I spoke on the phone with the home warranty company and a Moonstar employee who said she would get back to me after speaking with the technician… which never happened. After a day of them not answering their phone or returning messages to either myself or my tenant, I’m writing this review. The customer service received in this experience has been atrocious. I do not recommend them to anyone. If your home warranty company refers them, demand someone else.

Poor customer service super rude on the phone. I have an appointment set up already for 12-4. The goal if this person seemed to be to cancel the appointment and not be liable for their work.
"What is your name?" I said. "Moonstar Appliances" they said. " Moonstar is your name?" I asked. " No, Tayyaba." -
Moonstar Appliance, LLC serviced our dryer through Cinch Home Warranty. I was given a time window for the technician's arrival, he showed up on time and he texted before arriving. He was able to repair the dryer on the spot, skillfully, and remained courteous and professional throughout the entire visit. I would use them outside of warranty service calls.

Clothes washing machine repair through Cinch Home Warranty. They called me first thing Monday morning to setup appointment, came that afternoon to diagnose. Needed to order a part. Came back the following Tuesday to repair and were successful, technician appeared knowledgeable and caring for the unit and my home. Only issue was having to call them the following Monday to setup an appointment, they didn't call me when the part came in to setup an appointment. Part was an OEM LG part which I appreciate. Overall I would use again for an appliance repair.

If I could rate 0 stars I would. Long story short this contractor was sent to me via American Home Shield, came out multiple times to try and fix our microwave, each time claiming a different part was broken. After 3 trips he was unable to fix the microwave, also bent multiple parts on the microwave and then began not returning my calls. Finally after a week of the instance company calling him he reported it was broken due to non normal wear and tear to not take responsibility. Microwave was not fixed I ended up with the bill for this company's inexperience, negligence, and flat out misinformation. High recommend against use of Moonstar Appliance. I also hate posting negative reviews but I hope this motivates them to do the right thing in the future.
