Alex called ahead of his arrival to let us know he was on his way. He listened to what I thought was happening to the furnace. He diagnosed it quickly- obsolete motor on the valve(?). He explained the pricing and was back with the part in under a half hour. He made sure I understood what should happen when a furnace is activated. He also made sure we had a working carbon monoxide alarm.

I'm happy to share that the team from Smiley's Heating & Cooling did an outstanding job replacing our downstairs HVAC system and removing an old hotel type model unit from our room over the garage, replacing it with a mini-split system. They were very professional and careful working in and around our property. The installation of the mini-split system required custom wood working and Roberto was more than up to the challenge. He did an outstanding job of creating a platform for the new unit and closing the opening left when the old unit was removed. His work was truly masterful and the results are just beautiful. Ryan ended up working as both salesman and installer. His work was excellent. He followed the entire process personally and ensured attention to every detail. We are most pleased with the work of the entire team with this installation and would not hesitate to recommend Smiley's, especially Ryan and Roberto. They did a great job for us!

Zach O. performed maintenance and fixed our Heater, did an outstanding job. I recommend Smileys for any homeowner. He took awesome care of our system.

Luis W. from Smiley's Heating and Cooling provided our wintertime maintenance. He took about an hour fifteen minutes to throughly check the entire system. He took photographs of his work to show us the parts he had cleaned and examined. He was polite, friendly, and knowledgeable. He put everything back like it was when he arrived.

We came across an electrical issue in our house, after two days of Malachi coming out. What we thought was going to be a difficult fix, turned out to be a very simple fix. They were very upfront about price, and what was going on.

Harold came to complete the maintenance on my HVAC system prior to the winter season. He arrived on time, introduced himself and completed the assessment. He provided a thorough explanation of what he found and provided photos to support his findings. Mr Kyle W. was very pleasant, knowledgeable and professional. He thoroughly explained what he was doing to service my furnace unit. He also advised me on future possible maintenance. Highly recommend this company, called to see if they could fit me into the schedule ASAP due to snow coming and no heat. Previous company was going to turn us away til monday and they came same day! Christina is amazing so thankful for her!

Got a big leak in our bathroom a few days after installation of a new HVAC system. The technician that came tried really hard and for hours kept looking. It wasn’t able to find and repair the problem. They suspect the boxes needed insulation because they might be sweating. Why didn’t they do that on the installation day? Something so problematic could have been prevented from the beginning. He said he would send this to installation manager.

We have had a leak going on for two days without them reaching out again after the visit. Something went wrong in the installation which is making us regret going for Smileys. If we don’t get this resolved soon we want to ask for our money back.
We are willing to update this review when we see what happens next.

Kyle cleaned my HAVC unit and went into my attic to insure my vents were clean and had no issues. He went over the charges and answered any questions I may have. I would recommend Smiley if you need your system maintained. Thanks again Kyle!

The whole team was pleasant to work with. The kept me up to date on my scheduling. The were honest in their presentation. They were professional in their approach and Daniel my service installation guy was great to work with. Help with any questions I had and was courteous to all those around, even my 5yr. Old grandson, whom was visiting me that day. Waiting around to make sure everything was up and working properly and to continue to do his job. I was pleased and would recommend this company in the future. (Micheal and Sons you just lost a very loyal customer) I’ll stick with Smileys.

The HVAC Technician, Shaun M arrived promptly. He was professional and courteous. He asked about the issue I was experiencing with my heating system. I explained the problem and he checked the system and diagnosed the problem. He explained that the power switch to the furnace was not connecting which caused the heat to run briefly and then cut off. The switch was replaced and the problem resolved. He did a final check after installing the new switch to ensure it was working properly. Shaun is very knowledgeable about his craft and is a definite asset to your company.

My wife and I had a new Trane HVAC system installed yesterday. Our previous unit was installed in 2007 and was still running fine, but we decided to be proactive and buy new. I had 3 estimates from great companies including my go to HVAC company. Smileys sales rep Wes was professional, on time, experienced, a great listener. And the reviews were outstanding. Our installers were TJ who was a great team leader. Chris ; another experienced Tech and JJ . They covered the floors and stairs to keep our home clean. TJ spent ample time showing my wife how to operate the new thermostat. And Wes stopped by to check out the entire installation. We couldn’t be happier. David and Robin Moore

Alex is the best HVAC technician we've ever had! We've tried several HVAC companies since we've moved to VA Beach and we're so happy with Smiley's Heating and Cooling and it's all because of Alex! He is very thorough, courteous, honest, and extremely knowledgeable. He explains EVERYTHING and doesn't try to sell you anything you don't need. He always has safety as is first priority. Our downstairs Carrier unit finally failed (it's been hanging by a thread...) and he came out on an emergency call to identify the problem. He gave us several options - and we decided to get a complete new 2 zone system. Alex was really great leading us through the next steps. He just came out today to check on the new system and made sure it's running as it should. He was able to tweak a few things and help us out with programming our new thermostat. I can't say enough wonderful things about Alex and Smiley's! Five stars for sure!!!

If I could leave a higher rating, I would. Seth came out to access my issue and recommended everything I needed. I went from a Ruud 2 Ton to a Trane 3 Ton. Josh, Shea and Eric were all great! They ran into a few issues while installing my unit but stayed professional and got the job done in a timely manner. I would recommend Smiley’s.

I had a great experience with David, the AC service technician. He was prompt, professional, and very knowledgeable. He diagnosed the issue quickly with the TXV valve. David took the time to explain everything in a way that was easy to understand and made sure the system was running smoothly before he left. His friendly attitude and attention to detail really stood out. It’s clear he takes pride in his work. Highly recommend him for any AC service needs!

Danielle and his crew did excellent professional work every one of them know what to do. They arrive at home 8:30 in the morning and 4 o’clock that was out of the property and everything is done the actual job very clean very professional. I love the train unit. I cannot get my eyes off The unit on The attic it’s so beautiful and very clean job I like the way they raise the unit above that drain pan and the unit outside. I am about 2 feet away and I cannot hear it if it’s running din know the train units is so good quality equipment, and a company the Smillys company The best in the seven series they give me the best deal possible straight, honest there the Ater Ryan was very honest and polite.
