A/C Masters office staff was efficient and personable in scheduling a service call for my non-functioning heat pump. The technician was one-time, professional, and very knowledgeable. He got it quickly operational for a reasonable charge.

My AC went out on a Wednesday morning and A/C Masters is the only company I could get to come out the same day. The technician I had was Adrianna and she was prompt and professional. She replaced the capacitor and topped off the freon. I am in Seaford and recommend this company.

I needed their help on a Saturday to deal with a unit purchased from them this year. it was just a setting - they came out fast and took care of it.

We live in Poquoson, Virginia, and have used A/C Masters for several years now. Our technician is Alan and he does a tremendous job of checking out our system. We had him check the AC system for the summer this visit. He is always very professional and courteous. He explains things that we may need to know and be aware of. I don’t think anybody that would use this company would be disappointed in the least.

We had a leak coming from the bottom of our air handler, so I called A/C Masters — a company we had used before and trusted — to come out to our home in Newport News on June 13. Unfortunately, this experience was disappointing. While the technician who came was knowledgeable and professional, the issue lies in how the company conducts business, which ultimately left me $174 out of pocket for a service that didn’t resolve the problem.

After diagnosing the issue, the technician said the P-trap was clogged and vacuumed the drain line. She said water appeared to be draining properly and noted that some light dripping might continue due to wet insulation — but we were relieved that the problem seemed resolved.

Just a few hours later, the leak returned — same spot, same amount. When I called the company the next day, I was told the line might still be clogged and that they could come back out, but I’d be charged another $85 labor fee — even though the first visit didn’t resolve the issue. I also learned their advertised “30-day guarantee” only waives the $89 diagnostic fee, not the labor, even for the exact same unresolved problem.

After doing my own research, I realized that since they already knew the drain line was underground and made of metal, a quick vacuum was unlikely to solve the problem long-term especially because we don't have a condensation pump. It made me question and feel like they were just trying to get me to spend more money piece by piece.

I tried speaking with the manager, Robert, before leaving a review to resolve the issue but was told it’s simply “company policy” to charge a labor cost again. I won’t be using A/C Masters in the future, and I would caution others to seek a company that stands behind their work and prioritizes fixing the problem the first time — not charging again for unresolved issues.

Adriana is an excellent Technician and is very knowledgeable in her field (knows what she’s doing). She’s a joy to work with. She worked with us. Ordered our part and came back and installed it as soon as it arrived. I’m extremely pleased with the service rendered.

I was referred to A/C Masters via the purchase of my home. I called to understand the service and warranty and was able to make an appointment for a check up on my home unit. Everyone was helpful and explained things in detail. The service tech who checked my system explained the unit and conferred with me about some of the home purchase inspection issues. I am also happy that I asked if, at all possible, the same service tech is scheduled for the residence.

A quick repair to our system has gotten the heat back on in time for winter. Thanks for the season inspections on both systems and the peace of mind that brings for the winter.

I rarely make reviews but let’s just say I called them on the weekend for our rental house and received a call back immediately and they were there so fast. It wasn’t even an hvac issue. Ended up being an electrical issue but tech called me, took photos and let me know what was needed next. They’ve done hvac work for us previously and do great work. I heard and read so many good reviews about AC masters but now I am glad, I have lived it all..I replaced an old unit AC/Furnace/coils. They were very professional, polite and detailed . Executed the work perfectly. Will surely recommend them to others.

The city location is Newport News, periodic seasonal maintenance was performed and Mr. Jose Gonzales from A/C Masters performed the maintenance. As the tech conducted the maintenance on a one year old system, he discovered low on Freon. I did ask why it's low since it's only one year old system? He replied maybe incorrect install or didn't top off the unit at the end of install. Mr. Jose did a fantastic work but low on Freon could have been a potential equipment failure. My advise to A/C masters is the management do an inspection of all new installs.

A/c Masters has been doing the routine Maintenance on our Hvac system . Great people very friendly and on time. Did a clean job. Id recommend this company for any heating a/c needs

Adriana was our service tech who addresssed our frozen heat pump in James City County. She was very knowledgeable, explained how the freeze up occurred, checked the system throughly, and gave sound advice how snowfal & freezing rain can effect the operation of the heat pump. Wonderful to work with, and if any future problems occur with any of our systems, Adriana of A/C Masters is the one I want on the job!
