Another company came to our house 4 times (after waiting weeks for an appt and charged us for the visits) and said our system was working fine (when it wasn’t). Black hills was at our house the day after we called them. Blake came out and within 15 minutes had the problem figured out! Super professional, super nice and super knowledgeable. I can’t say enough good things. This is the company to go with!

So impressed with Hayden. Very professional and went far beyond what was needed to solve the problem with what was available to him.
I am recovering from surgery and no longer have to stress about this repair. Have lived in our condo for 27 years and just experienced what a caring experienced technician looks like again!

Professional install of heat pump today. Black Hills was great. Technicians were polite and respectful. They explained everything and made sure I was good with everything before they left.

Justin inspired such confidence! He is very knowledgeable and works quickly with ease. He first came to fix a leak in my shower plumbing and mistakes in the tub installation that was leaking into the crawl space. He has seen it all before!
Today he installed the shower fixtures which was declined by my contractor friend who said it was beyond him because it was European made.
Justin’s manner reminds me of a humble super hero: does a super job and is off to save the next customer. He is my go -to guy!

Great experience, from the quote to the installation. Everyone that came to the house was very knowledgeable and professional. The instillation was fantastic. The only thing I would have wanted done differently would be for the electrical conduit to have been installed where the garage walls meet the ceiling rather than where it was installed, but that’s just a small thing. Very satisfied with the service and would highly recommend Black Hills!

Both Steve and Kolby assisted us, and they were terrific!! They built a roof and crawl space door for us which looks amazing and very well designed and put together! They exceeded our expectations by a mile. I would recommend both of them. Additionally, I would recommend Jason Bailey who set up the visit and the Black Hills company to anyone. We just started with them and so far they have done great work. Well done Steve and Kolby, your work was top notch!!

I was having HVAC work done by Black Hills and mentioned to the contractor Kamerrin (who did an incredible job btw) that I also had a problem with no hot water. He said one of their plumbing contractors would be there the very next day. The next day came and Greg Landaker showed up as promised. Turns out the tankless water heater had met its maker and needed to be replaced. Now it wasn't the answer I wanted to hear and I have been skeptical in the past because in my experience a contractor always says you need a whole new something regardless if it's an easy fix or not. Greg allayed all my fears and addressed all my concerns. He went into very specific reasons why it needed to be replaced. Greg patiently and thoroughly answered my many questions and ultimately gave me quite an education on all aspects of a tankless water heater system. He showed up the next day, completed the job in just a few hours, and I had hot water again, hooray!! Also with the benefits of the Comfort Pass program, a coupon, and a discount I got a screaming deal on the replacement install. I was actually surprised how easy it all went. Thanks Greg! These guys came out to our home in Olympia yesterday for a sink back up. The plumber said it “might” be an issue in a pipe but couldn’t say for sure. He stated he would charge us about $508 but said that there’s no guarantee that would solve the issue which means there’s no definite answer as of to what’s going on. My wife was, like, why would I pay you for something you’re not sure will actually solve the problem / is the problem? We own a few properties up North and have worked with contractors in the past and having someone come in and say “I can’t say for sure what the issue is but we can charge you in excess of 500 plus 140 dispatch fee and see if this fixes it” felt shady so she sent him home. Good on her. She decided to call Black Hills to recoup that fee since it didn’t feel right paying the service fee without actually knowing why our sink is backing up. An employee named Crystal calls back to state that the plumber gave us photos, a document, and Black Hills never gives a guarantee on their work. My wife tried to explain that these were photos she could’ve taken herself and that’s not a diagnosis. Also, not guaranteeing work doesn’t negate a proper diagnosis (ie. the point of the visit). Margin of error exists but this is a physical anomaly. My wife tried to tell Crystal that If he did have a proper diagnosis, she would’ve paid the 508 right then and there but that snaking a drain without knowing if that would fix the issue isn’t a diagnosis. Crystal disagreed and tried to explain that there’s always a margin of error and while that may be true in another line of work, this is a physical pipe and your plumber couldn’t state weather that was the issue or not. That’s not a margin of error. That’s a trial and error at our expense. Crystal kept going and so my wife cut her off and asked what her end goal with the conversation was because at that point, we weren’t going to agree and it looked like Crystal was defending their service fee visit without being willing to refund the fee. Crystal then cut off my wife. It got heated and my wife got “do not service” - ed (as if we would hire Black Hills again). We had a good laugh about that.

Ultimately, they did refund us which is cool but what’s not cool is the way in which it had to happen. Do you really want a company in your home that stated they do not guarantee their work? And do you really want a company working on major parts of your home when they find ways to avoid or justify an unearned service fee refund? I mean, I wouldn’t.

Black Hill was amazing! I called them out because I thought I had a valve leak, and it turned out to be something that could be fixed really inexpensively. He was so gracious and didn’t even charge me for the visit. I truly appreciate the honesty and kindness. It saved me a couple hundred dollars and they definitely have a customer for life. As homeowners, there’s always something going on and I’ll absolutely be calling them again in the future!

Hayden did an excellent job. Purchasing a home where the duct work was held together with a home depot bucket. He replaced the duct work. Did a whole home duct cleaning and a sanitation of the ducts as well. Highly recommend black hills for great service and attention to detail

Black Hills has the best technicians! Our home has had everything from installation and service of our heat pump and furnace, to replacing our hot water heater, to plumbing and electrical. Every technician and every product has been amazing. Great customer service, fabulous after care and reasonable prices. We would highly recommend their services.

Easy and quick scheduling and on time arrival got us off to a good start. The technician, Fred was very personable as well as knowledgeable and diagnosed the problem quickly as a sensor issue on one of my heat pumps (both of which were installed by Black Hills about 7 years ago). The replacement sensor was on his truck and was quickly installed and problem solved. Would highly recommend Black Hills on my 7 plus years of experience with them.

I was so pleased with Collin “Cody” Annable’s service today!
He explained everything single step that he needed to do to clear out my clogged kitchen sink and then worked hard in accomplishing it.
There was no way that I could have done it myself, due to lack of knowledge, experience, tools and lack of strength (aka age).

I was charged nearly $750 to have 2 outdoor spickets replaced. The pricing seemed really high. We have another contractor who removed the siding before the plumber arrived. I don’t think I will use Blackhills for plumbing work again. Blackhills HVAC has always been reasonable and fair.

Our furnace went out and I called Black Hills, fully expecting to wait a few days at least, being in October. They were able to see us the same day! We interacted with a lot of people at Black Hills and usually with this many people involved in the work, something is bound to be difficult, but from the CSR to the technicians that came to replace the furnace, our experience with this company was nothing short of amazing! A huge thank you to Curtis Robinson, David Griffis, Aaron Josephson, Austin Einert, and Alexander Koska, just to name a few. They were in our home for three days replacing our furnace and every day they were respectful, communicative, and very clean. My husband and I are very grateful to you all!

I needed a furnace replacement in a shop.The previous unit was over 30 years old and unrepairable. All replacement options were clearly explained, and there was NO sales pressure whatsoever. Brian and Brady did an amazing install of a single head minisplit. It took them much longer than planned due to a complicated remov a l of the old unit. Meticulous clean up, careful positioning of the heat pump to avoid landscape damage. Everyone who sees this job is impressed with all aspects of the product and install. Would totally recommend.
The female office manager (so sorry re name ? Vicky) was terrific with scheduling, product knowledge, and job changes.

Justin did an outstanding job. He analyzed the situation, was very polite and explained what had happened and what he planned to do to solve the problem. We agreed to the price and he went back under the house. When he finished there were two new spickets and no more leaking water! The best part is the agreed price remained the same. All digital contracts were emailed and received to print for my records. Two thumbs way up!! 👍👍

I highly recommend using electrical services with Black Hills. I scheduled online and it was a breeze. There were no hidden fees and the cost for the services provided were reasonable. Jacob reached out to me and was able to arrive a little earlier than expected. He fixed our issue, was curious and respectful of our home and even cleaned up when he was done! Brian was amazing, I had a very sensitive home situation with a homeowner that my clients were purchasing and needed bids. We have had an excellent experience with Black Hills, Inc so far. Fred C came out to help with the install of a new thermostat but after finding an issue with the compatibility he reinstalled our other one. He did a thorough check of the furnace at my request and gave me so much helpful information. Answered every single question i had, made somw reccomendations etc He suggested based on thr 26year old HVAC system that we have in our new home we sit down with a tech and go over what we may want. He was so kind and so helpful.
Alex M came next day to sit down with us to discuss what we are looking for. Like Fred, he was very kind, easy to talk to, funny and well informed. He went over all our options, addressed all our concerns and answered every single question we had. He even looked at our generator and a wall outlet and wil be sending a seperate quote for that.
He got us scheduled right away for the HVAC system install. I can update later on how that goes but I just wanted to shout out both those men as they were both highly professional, kind, informative and thorough. We feel great about choosing to do business with Black Hills, Inc.

Had a leak noticed it early morning Thursday. Same day I reached out to several local Plumbing companies. I heard back from Black Hills promptly and got an appointment scheduled that very same day!! Bryan Palmen my technician was friendly, professional and did a great job for me! They noticed the leak was from an old faucet so I had them replace both of them for me. Fair pricing, timely response to customers, professional staff and quality work!! Thank you Black Hills!
