Appliance Repair reviews in Vancouver, Washington

I needed my dryer repaired due to a loud screeching noise when in use. Based on past reputation, I called Sears for service—big mistake. In hindsight, I should have gone directly through Maytag.
The technician showed up on time but had a noticeably negative attitude—didn't smile once. After diagnosing the issue, he found that a part responsible for holding the dryer belt needed replacement. I signed the repair contract, and he immediately began pushing a $70 warranty very aggressively. We declined, and he got to work.
The entire job took less than an hour, yet I was charged $449—for what turned out to be a $50 part and over $300 in labor. That seems excessive, to say the least.
I attempted to contact Sears customer service afterward to discuss the price, but it was nearly impossible to reach a live person. On top of that, the technician left my laundry room a mess, with black smudges all over my washer and dryer.
Overall, very disappointed with the cost, customer service, and cleanliness. Would not recommend. -
Very friendly and professional service! Our tech was a pleasure to have in our home.
-
James was very professional, highly skilled and personable. He got the job done very well.
-
Jonel did a great job and even gave me some tips I would had not even thought of to make my dishwasher work even better.
-
The technician was great. The AI scheduler did not match the technician with my appliance. That is not his fault. I will need to schedule another repair
-
Pat was honest, knowledgeable, professional, and friendly. I have been highly impressed with all Sears service folks we’ve had. Thank you.
-
Smart guy. Knew exactly what needed to be fixed and gave us great tips. Even adjusted the feet of the washer so it doesn't "walk" all over the laundry room anymore

The appliance repair man James was amazing and very professional. I don't like the 8am to 5pm arrival window but that's not his fault. He was polite, solved the issue, gave a few tips on the usage of my GE washer dryer combo and even smelled good🤭

James has been our technician on previous calls and has always been very professional and courteous.
Takes time to explain what he is doing or what he has done. During a recent visit he took the time to track down and pick up a lost gear casing.
He has been great. -
I had the pleasure of Jonel as our technician to fix the heating element in our LG oven. Fantastic customer service, very knowledgeable, extremely kind, and super thankful he got us back up and running!

Arrived on time, very friendly , gave me information on cooktop burners
Took a while to get the parts but Eduardo did a great job replacing my cooktop burners on my JennAir cooktop. -
James was friendly, knowledgeable, and professional. He took really good care to address all of our washer/dryer concerns. We would not hesitate to ask for him next time we need service.
-
The tech was great- friendly, courteous, and very knowledgeable. He diagnosed the problem, ordered the part, and made the repair with no issues. The same cannot be said for the AI scheduling system which had scheduling and communication issues.
-
Technician was great! Communicative, timely, friendly and definitely very qualified and experienced. This was covered under my home warranty so I just had to pay the service fee.

This is ridiculous. You cant talk to a real person to schedule. When your refrigerator is not working they schedule you a week or more out just to look at it and see what the problem is. Then they may or may not show up when the ai schedule tells you . They really need to work on their scheduling. Once the repair tech showed up he was very helpful so i dont think its his bad but seriously go somewhere else if you can

Great tech! He was honest with information and choices on my repair. He was able to answer other questions regarding service contracts and even had a flyer. I have used sears a s my repair team for several decades and glad they are still around. Thanks James

Be careful! Sears repair has moved too soon to AI scheduling. You’re likely to get no shows and when you reschedule you are likely to get an appointment time between 4 pm to 1 am. You might get a tech who has never done the repair you’ve ordered. And the best part of all - you only get to talk in circles with AI. Best advice I can give you is to take a photo of the diagnostic person’s truck. It has a phone number on it. If/ when it all goes South, you can contact a live person who knows how to get to a live supervisor. Oh! And remove the first two categories. Just a diagnostic service call costs $129. Suggesting you have any service lower than that is misleading.

Quick response, next day appointment availability. Great communication. Knowledgeable and honest about our washers issue. For us it wasn't worth repairing, but if we would have the diagnostics fee would have went towards the repair bill. Pat provided some tips on what brands to avoid when I asked him about replacing our set. I would definitely use Sears Appliance Repair in the future.

Our repair man did a great job and had diagnosed our problem before he arrived. He had all the necessary parts and got it fixed in one trip.

Ron was punctual, professional and knowledgeable. Highly recommend
He not only fixed my dishwasher, he taught me additional tricks to taking care of my Bosch dishwasher -
Ron Davis, Master Technician, got my oven back up and running within about an hour. He explained everything he was doing and went out of his way to make it affordable. A true professional.
