Just save yourself time and use them! I got 5 quotes, they were not the cheapest, nor the most expensive but they were what I thought and felt would be the best and they did not disappoint. We felt they were very fair in their pricing and the quality of work was excellent. We are very pleased with their professionalism, personal attention to detail and the fact they are just all around great humans.

Call Gold Shield for all of your roofing needs! My house needed bathroom vent piping that went through the roof, and Taylor’s team did a great job! I am so satisfied with the work, the price, and the thoroughness of the experience. After we do a remodel we are going to need to rework our roof, and I’m calling these guys back!

I dont write reviews often either positive or negative, but Dave and Gold Shield deserve the 5 stars with explanation. I hope this review will be helpful to others needing their services.

Our adventure started 3 years ago. Our roof was over 20 yrs old. We had 2 estimates done but just could not afford the price tag. So after saving we had 3 estimates done this year and obviously selected Gold Shield, but why?

To see, understand and feel the difference in companies make Gold Shield your second or third company to give you an estimate and you will know why we chose them.

I have some backround ulin construction so i did nit go into this blind. Out of the 5 estimates Dave was the only one to actually get on the roof, go in the attic, and take photos for our discussion. He found and showed me things our home inspector did not find. The others simply said your roof is over 20 yrs old so of course you need a new roof and they performed hard sales pitches and pushed us to sign that day for a commitment and for money down. I picked the same product and package for the 3 estimates so I was comparing apples to apples as the old saying goes.

I admit I was apprehensive because Gold Shield is a young company, but all our concerns were quickly wiped away. Dave listened to my goals/objectives for the house. He explained the project as a system and how it works together for a long lasting roof with a great warranty and not just having the shingles replaced. He went over the materials indepth (shingles, nails, vents, seals, underlayment and flashing). My roof was a bad install with minimal flashing, no drip edge and had minimal ventilation which lead to mold and extremely hot summers in the house. He provided his proposed solutions and we discussed the pros and cons before settling on the solution for additional intake and exhaust to keep our house breathing.

Dave is very knowledgeable and he didn't just tell us his recommendations but explained the reasoning in detail. He answered every question and then some. No hard sales pushes or pressure to sign anything that day. Excellent payment schedule if you dont use financing. They were extremely flexible with their schedule to meet my schedule.

They do have their own workers but also use sub contractors which he also provided an excellent explanation for. They were all very professional, safe and respectful. They completed the job in 3 days. Dave provided progress pictures along the way and of any problem areas to be fixed. They replaced all the bad OSB with plywood removing all the mold. They made sure everything was cleaned up in my yard and my nieghbors yards as we have a lot of wind.

I had a couple gutters that were sagging so I had them brace those as well and slope them for better drainage. They look great.

I am sure I am forgetting something but overall this is a great company with great people and I highly recommend them. I hope this helps.

From their initial estimate, to site survey, tear-off, install of new roof and gutters, and then final clean-up, Gold Shield was top-notch. Every step was explained clearly and carried out with precision. Taylor and Dave were great to work with and Asbel and his roofing crew were nothing short of amazing! All the work was completed on time and on budget. No hard sell techniques, just simple, honest, professional work. It was a pleasure to have them work on my home. I had multiple recommendations for a roofing company and ultimately chose Gold Shield Exteriors to do the job. They were by far the most thorough in their walk through and estimate so there were no overages when the job was done. The workers were polite, friendly and very respectful of the property. They removed a double layer of old shingles, tore down and removed an old patio cover, replaced rotten fascia boards, replaced some roof plywood, added more attic vents and replaced the gutters. I highly recommend this company!

We had several roofing companies provide inspections and quotes before settling on Gold Shield Exteriors. I was impressed with the thoroughness, attention to detail and listening to our needs and concerns. Taylor and Dave were great at communicating before during and after the project was done. The workers were friendly, helpful and attentive to cleaning up each day. We love our new roof and the improvements made during the project. I would not hesitate to recommend and use Gold Shield for future needs in the future.

I give gold shield my vote of confidence. I got a very comparable quote but with much more detail and photos. I got my roof replaced and gutters replaced in under 2 weeks of first calling and couldn’t have been happier with their office staff. They made it very easy to work around the weather and my schedule which was a big plus too since it’s usually that I have to work around others. Financing is pretty good in this market too, I’m sure to come back again if I need anything else.

David and his team have done an excellent job on our roof replacement! Very happy with the outcome, looks beautiful and just what I wanted. David was extremely helpful from the start. He helped me pick out the best package for the shingles I wanted, explained the warranty coverage and even helped me get financing so we could start asap! David was there every day along side his team and he made sure to update me on the progress and every step they took to insure my roof was properly installed. They did quick and high quality work, excellent craftsmanship. This company knows how to do it right and now I can sleep at night not worrying about my roof! Amazing people and amazing company! I highly recommend them!

We had a great experience with Taylor and the team from Gold Shield from start to finish. The inspection to provide the quote was informative with timely and friendly communication leading up to the appointment and after. We initially asked for a roof cleaning, but they also confirmed some worthwhile roof repairs that our home inspector also pointed out when we bought it. The technician showed up on time and completed the work well. They were able to provide a competitive quote for the cleaning and repairs, which sealed the deal for us. I recommend them for their great service, follow-up, rates, and a job well done.

To summarize, I felt like I got a really good service for my roof and gutters!

There was a rainstorm that made us aware of a leak in our upstairs bathroom. We found Gold Shield Exteriors and they arrived pretty quick and investigated the roof, even when it was dark, windy, and cold.

They showed photos of how the roof looked, and shingles had come undone from the nail, or weren't properly installed. They gave us a few different options for the quality and warranty for the type of shingle. While they were up there, I also had them install gutter guards. They also completed the drainage system, as the roofers before didn't connect the drainage from the very top of the house to the first floor roof (so water would just go everywhere from the top level drainage).

They couldn't repair right away, but they put a tarp up (pictured) pretty quick to prevent further water intrusion. But they got me scheduled pretty quick and were communicative throughout the process.

They also provided a zinc treatment and also cleaned my metal awning.

It wasn't cheap, but roof work isn't cheap. I felt like we paid a reasonable price for the quality and scope of work. I'll definitely go with them again for any future roofing issues.

Taylor and the crew absolutely nailed this project. Was already familiar with GSE from the work they did on my dad’s roof and I was referred over. Not only did they have the best evaluation process the price and timelines were right too as we had to do a full replace on our roof before we could sell. I originally had them out to take a look at the roof and I was quickly convinced a full roof was the move. I’m glad I committed. The team was quick, efficient, detailed and cleaned up nicely after they left. Would absolutely buy another roof from them again.

Since opening my Landscaping company and parting ways with Hr Roofing Services has completed 3 residential homes for my family and a beautiful TPO awning for my aunt.
They were very prompt and professional providing estimates which was affordable, having seen the craftsmanship they put in firsthand it was great to know my loved ones were getting what they paid for and was great to hear they felt like family from the initial estimate until the roof was complete.

I have been working with Holtzlander Roofing for the last 12 years. They have done several projects for me over the years. In my experience, they have always been professional, upfront about the cost, and punctual when it comes time to do the work.

To the owner of the white Camaro. We get it. You’re compensating. The way you blast down the street for 1,000 feet to get to your office, while announcing your arrival to the entire "neighborhood" is… impressive, in the way a toddler stomping in a drum circle is impressive.

We also noticed the faces you make when someone actually drives the speed limit in front of you. Don’t worry, we see you—you’re clearly very invested in reminding everyone that your car is faster than their lives.

Perhaps... a race track? There's more than 1000 feet for you to make it known you're compensating. Heard theres lots of women there... Maybe you can meet one and get some of your frustration out, so we don't have to hear your car anymore.
