After much frustration trying to find a pop-up drain stopper that actually works, I went to Howe Plumbing. Regan, the owner, was very helpful and I purchased from him a pop-up drain stopper that works flawlessly! Thank you, Howe Plumbing!

Great personal service. I went in looking for kitchen faucet advise, and walked out with a high quality Kohler fixture. Thanks

I was in today with my baggie of parts like so many times before. I was convinced I would leave with some kind of part to solve my problem. I explained our shower was noisy. A real loud howl. Howe Bros. patiently took me thru all the "if / then" possibilities. I have it all tore apart. What parts do I need ? Howe Bros nailed it. "The noise is likely coming from your shower head". DOH ! What ? I replaced the shower head and the noise is gone. Howe Brothers are solution providers not parts sellers. Howe Brothers is someone I trust over and over again.

Very helpful and knowledgeable staff. Willing to make arrangements with to have a friend pick up my parts. Stock what I need. Saved me an afternoon of replacing the tub to shower conversion kit.

Needed plumbing parts on a Saturday morning, and this place came thru with the exact parts I needed and great advice for installation! Regan's calm, helpful demeanor impressed me so, that I returned to buy a toilet & all needed supplies. Impressive customer service, very knowledgable and willing to answer/explain any questions you may have on your project. Very professional small business!

Regan is a treasure is all I can say. Over the years he has consistently delivered patient, on-point advice as I've learned more about plumbing. Always kind, respectful, thoughtful, and helpful.

Regan saved my butt. Four stores in Madison, had no idea how to help me finding a diverter stem for my shower. Finally got recommended to Howe Brothers from someone, and with a few pics of the previous hardware trim, he was able to find out the original model of the diverter and order the correct part. Price was still reasonable, despite having to do some digging for the right model. I tried to overpay, and he refused it haha.

Good business. Hope they stick around.

Regan, the owner of this shop, is an amazing resource for anything and everything plumbing. Whether you're a DIY person or a professional, I can almost guarantee Regan will tell you what problems your project will run into before you even start it! He's a master plumber and has saved me multiple headaches by troubleshooting projects with me when I go in to order supplies. Not only that, he'll make sure you have ALL THE PARTS you need for a project. I've never had to go back for something I forgot, because he makes sure I've got everything I need. Seriously, this shop is a godsend. Home Depot has nothing on Howe Brothers Plumbing, so do yourself a favor and just go to the pro.

I bought a tankless waterheater and RO filter.

I can't say enough good things about this place. As other reviews have said Regan dispenses his knowledge freely and the customer experience is amazing. There are many positives, but here are my highlights.

    1. Regan worked through the install with me in diagram form. This meant I got all the parts I needed in one trip saving me time.

    2. I also feel like I got quality products. Not just the cheapest parts available (and the price difference isn't that big).

    3. I got advise on how to maintain them. This is big as long term I know I will not be replacing it in a few years.

This place is what true customer service is about - I just wish there was an electrical store that offered the same service.

I needed a new Kohler faucet cartridge and after going to True Value I was told to check here. They had the part and the guy was super friendly. My only complaint is that I feel I may have been dramatically overcharged for the part. I never actually saw a price marked anywhere. I just ask the guy how much it was and he said $35 cash.

I purchased the part for $35 and he threw in two seats for free. He also gave me some free advice about installation. The reason I feel like I may have been overcharged is that I found the same part else ware for $15 later. $15 to $35 seems to be a large price difference even for a small local shop.

In the end I would recommend this place as they had the part I needed to get the job done and at the time I was willing to pay $35 to get what I needed. Just do some price checking beforehand.

By far the best plumbing supply shop in all of Wisconsin, not just Madison... and it may be the best in the world, no joking!

It doesn't matter what your level of experience or comfort with plumbing is - Regan works with everyone from local pros to inexperienced DIY'ers, and he does it with complete patience and professionalism.

I have a really old house, and to say that it has some unique plumbing challenges would be an understatement. I can't tell you how many times I've run over to Howe Brothers to get advice, suggestions, and parts... but every single visit results in me leaving with answers and parts that I needed.

Prices are more than reasonable, and 99% of the time, parts are in-stock, even if they're incredibly obscure or unusual.

Don't waste your time with the big box stores... if you need anything plumbing related, swing down to Howe on Willy. You won't regret it!!

Helpful is an understatement to describe Regan at Howe Brothers. He was a godsend when we couldn’t get any plumbers out to our house in the timeframe we needed. He walked us through replumbing our entire bathroom ourselves. We are very happy with the results and learned so much about plumbing for the next project. Highly recommend this place!

My shower handle fell off and I brought the parts over to the Howe Brothers store. One of the brothers spent about fifteen minutes with me explaining how to repair the shower handle and then offered to repair my part and if that did not work we’d replace it. He repaired the part and with his instructions , I did the rest . His time and his instructions for $10. My part was repaired in about fifteen minutes.
What great service on a Saturday when most other plumbing places are closed. Shop local and use this great store for all of your plumbing needs!!

Have been getting help here for a couple decades, for anything plumbing related - from my vintage tub and fixtures to PVC plumbing for my pond. I have no doubt I could get parts cheaper elsewhere - if I knew what I wanted. But considering I am also getting detailed how-to info (i.e. a considerable amount of his time) whatever I pay is a bargain compared to hiring a plumber to do it. Note that this is a professional plumber here, not an inexperienced big box stock-person so I would certainly want and expect to pay him commensurate with his expertise!

It's a very late post, but I purchased a shower stall and it was the perfect size for the remodel I was doing. Great price and even got it delivered.

It took a few trips, but I was able to get my 1950's faucets repaired. I had looked for parts several places and was not able to find them, or someone knowledgeable enough to be helpful. Regan also helped me troubleshoot a couple leaky toilets which saved me a lot in plumbing charges. It is a bit of a drive for me but well worth it for the knowledge and parts for older fixtures, this definitely the first place I will go for future DIY projects.

It worked! I was not confident in this DIY repair I did today. Hah - I'm actually not even sure what the name of the part I just replaced is. It was inside of the rough-in valve for a shower.

Anyway - I took a few pictures and visited Howe. Explained what was going on. He told me what part I needed. I told him the part looked too big and didn't seem right. He was like no - it's the right part. Then he told me how to remove the old one, and what I needed to do to make sure it was put back together correctly. And when I was nodding slowly but looking confused he repeated what he said in a different way.

It worked! No more drips. This place is a great resource. Just remember - they close at noon and only take cash or check.

Top notch expertise and they never let me down. Every time I have dropped in, they have exactly what I need and provide guidance on the plumbing repair. Avoid the big box stores and get local personalized service from this great small business!

This place is awesome. They knew exactly the parts I needed, for a very old kitchen faucet. Very friendly, too!

Be aware, cash or check only.

Regan was extremely helpful with our toilet and shower head purchase and DIY install.

We really appreciated the time he took to understand our needs so that he could make the best recommendation. Something that stood out to us was his initial suggestion of how we might be able to repair, rather than replace our toilet to save money and waste. While we ultimately needed to do a replacement, not being immediately pushed towards buying something new was refreshing.

I highly recommend his shop for all your plumbing needs. Great products with knowledgeable and friendly service!
