company came over to fix a kitchen sink-- They acted professional but the service man forgot his tools in his truck. This mistake cause them to bill for more time than was actually used for service time. I as a customer feel that I should not have to pay for time that a employee failled to bring required items into fix a sink. When I called to complain about this issue I was told I was wrong to complain. The company than in writting sent me a rebilling in which they called me a Douche Bag. Our water heater was leaking On a Friday morning. Capital came Friday afternoon and by the time I got home from work, they were finished and cleaned up well after. Great service and fair prices.

Water heater went out on a Sunday, called Stan 6:30 sharp Monday Morning. New 50 gal Rheem Installed same day. Prompt, professional job.

Extremely dissatisfied. Called because we thought our water softener wasn't working properly and was looking for someone to come take a look at it. Asked if they wanted to know the brand and they said it didn't really matter they could come out. They send someone out and he tells us they don't service that brand and all he can do is test our water hardness to see if the water is soft. Had to directly ask him to even take the cover off of the softener to see if he thought it was serviceable before he would even touch the thing. Even then all he said was "yeah it might be repairable but we won't work on it". Then charges us $90 and leaves. Could have had a hardness test done for free at the local hardware store. If they would have told me they don't service our brand from when I called I never would have had them come out.

Very pleased! I feared I had a major plumbing problem but after describing what happened over the phone, he explained what probably had occurred. He said he was 99% sure that was it AND, of course, he was right! No charge...just quick and courteous service. When I need help again, I will definitely call Capitol.

I busted a pipe doing some trim carpentry over the weekend. Capitol sent someone over on a Sunday who was able to fix the problem quickly. They were very professional and easy to work with. Never good to have a plumber at your house on a Sunday but the rate was reasonable for after hours.

I have worked with Capitol Plumbing over the past two years on residential remodel projects. Stan, Doug, and Jeff are great to work with. Easy to schedule and are willing to help with challenging projects. The T&M billing is very fair and detailed. These are the guys to call.

So I was doing a toilet repair and my shutoff valve started leaking. I thought it would require soldering(which is beyond me) to swap out. Capital was my third call as no one seemed to be able to come out in an emergency call.At capital I spoke to Stan who also explained he probably wouldn’t be able to get anyone right over but….He asked me to explain what was going on. and after listening gave me a 30 second explanation of what to do to fix the issue and stop the leak(basically just tightening a nut). Saved me several more calls and expensive service. The “repair” took me about a minute all told including digging out a wrench.

This kind of interaction builds trust and loyalty. I will definitely use this company on my next plumbing project. Thanks Stan.

Today was the third time we've used Capitol Plumbing in the last three years and I couldn't be much happier. Prompt, friendly, quick, tidy and effective! They come when they are needed. Today that was just an hour after I first called. Stan had said they would be here within an hour to hour and a half, but they got here in an hour and jumped right into the job of replacing some clogged cast and galvanized drain fittings in the basement. The job took less than an hour, and the problem was solved, the area cleaned up, and after a friendly "thanks and have a great day" all done. I can't comment on cost because I neglected to ask, but they've been very fair in the past.
One of the plumbers was Doug, and I didn't catch the other guy's name, but they did great work.
By the way, I like businesses where they answer the phone with the company name and the person's name. Thanks Stan, keep up the great job!

Called a couple places on Friday afternoon, most wanted to charge me $220 an hour "overtime" to come look at an issue I was having with my sump pump. I called Capital and within two hours I had my sump pump replaced by a very courteous technician named Aaron. I was charge a fair price for a replacement sump pump and Aaron's time. Aaron also took the time to answer my questions.

Capitol Plumbing is the most professional, helpful, and honest plumbing company I've worked with and will never choose anyone else again. They've given me helpful advice to confirm they actually needed to send someone out for the problem I'm having and have always given me a fair price for parts and labor. I'll never recommend anyone else.

Capitol Plumbing has been a lifesaver more than once for us over the last 6 months. When we found a pipe leaking in our basement they came out extremely quickly and fixed it in no time flat! Then, as luck would have it, our water softener broke and started leaking as well. They sent someone out same day to take care of it. Super professional, timely and high-quality work! Quick service, fair price, and overall a very good interaction with their plumbers for a new water heater installation. They were in and out in only a couple hours which included the time to order the heater from their shop.

I called on a Saturday when all other plumbing companies are closed. I needed my 40 gallon water heater replaced. They told me they could be there in 30-45 min and what the cost would be. Within 3 hrs of my call they replaced the water heater and took the old one away. The plumber they sent was nice and explained what he was doing.

Hi, my name is Stan Davies. I am the owner at Capitol Plumbing Co. Wanted to let readers of the reviews listed to be wary of online reviews. For instance, the review from Sam Wallace is a flat out lie. I asked him the brand of softener when he called, said he didn't know so I told him that was fine and that we would take a look at it. I sent a plumber out who determined it was a brand of softener we had no access to parts for. My plumber left after advising him on what we thought were his best options and he was NOT CHARGED ONE PENNY!
As to the review from Justus B, again not true. They had called and asked to have a plumber repair a leak. They never requested a bid. We have NEVER done bids on repair work and on leaky water heaters we offer a quote over the phone. When the plumber went to the job, he assessed the leak and advised them what they needed and then told them the cost up front. They had us leave after performing this service, telling us they wanted to think about it. It is a sad statement to our current value system when we think it's o.k. to post things on line whether true or not simply because we think we have an anonymity implied. I’m very happy with the recent services provided by Capitol Plumbing. I had many plumbing issues, and Doug was able to take care of all of them, including a couple of things that another plumber had said could not be fixed and needed to be replaced. I was a little nervous about what the cost would be because he was here for six hours, but the charges were very reasonable. Definitely recommend.

Stan and his crew are my heroes! Through the years, I've used their services several times and they always come through! Quality work, efficient, responsive...I can't say enough good things about them. The latest incident stemmed from a problem created by a questionable plumber hired by a contractor I used and Capitol Plumbing came to the rescue!
